“Very peacefuland relaxing.” I believe we were in Wards Court 1. We were in Wards Court 2 earlier in the year because some of the family came to stay for a short while. That must tell you how much we liked the place to back again. The home is very well equiped and very comfortable. With a restaurant on the ground floor run by the owner with excellent food and a pub 2 doors away - need I say more! It was agreat base for walking - our passion. Mrs Phillips, the owner, is a gem, very kind and attentive. There was nothing to dislike about the holiday. In fact we shall probably go back again next year.

“A great waterside experience” Everything we needed was there and all was beautifully clean The location by the lock is great and the prison across the road is unobtrusive. It was very easy to walk to the cathedral and town centre as well as the waterways museum The retail outlet in the quays is good value but they would not let me walk with my bike in there.

About Cotswolds

The charming towns and hill countryside of the Cotswolds region have made it one of the most appealing destinations in the United Kingdom. The beautiful valleys and natural scenery, vast estates and historical houses, and thriving arts scene ensure you'll have both a relaxing and entertaining trip.

Head to the big city shops and attractions of Gloucester, the country retreats of Adlestrop and Broadway, or the colonial mansions throughout the region. Each town and village has its own unique charm and attractions, ensuring that there is something to do no matter where you visit.

While you're in Cotswolds, save some time for these major attractions and destinations:

  • Chastleton Houses: One of the finest Jacobean houses in the world, the furniture and architecture are almost 400 years old and remain perfectly intact.
  • Cotswolds Water Park: Consisting of 133 lakes, Great Britain's largest water park has plenty of games and activities to enjoy.
  • Farmer's Market: The weekly market in Stroud is full of artwork made from local artists throughout the region, homegrown produce, and the latest fashion from designers throughout Great Britain.
  • Cotswolds Wildlife Park: Several hundred species roam freely here, most of which are native to Great Britain.
  • Bourton-on-the-Water: This village at the Northern end of Cotswold is home to much of the scenery that the region is famous for.
  • Five Valleys: The five valleys around Stroud offer panoramic views of the surrounding areas and are particularly beautiful during sunset.

No matter when you decide to visit, there's bound to be a wide range of events and festivals to take part in. Enjoy a weekend of exciting equestrian competition with some of the best riders in the country at the Great Tew Estate Horse Trials in June, shop for the vintage and handcrafted items at the Cotswolds Vintage Fair in November, or observe classic cars from as far as back as the 1920s at the Bredon Vintage and Classic Car Rally in September.

No matter what time of year you visit, you'll be able to find a luxury condo near all of the bustling shops and pubs of Cotswolds' big cities. Whether you want a cozy apartment with high-end amenities or a spacious villa located in the rolling countryside, there's a vacation rental available that will put you exactly where you want to be in the region.

If you have some extra time in the area, plan a day trip to the international metropolis of London, only a 45-minute car ride from Cotswold!

Church View
Homely and comfortable at Church View

First impression homely and comfortable, could be quiet easy to never leave. It had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. We are an older couple and the nicely converted 17th Century barn was cosy and warm. We were visiting in the spring time. During our there was sometimes up to four of us and it was nice roomy for us. Joanne and Steve were excellent hosts and quick to answer any queries. A lovely village with a great rural aspect. The Royal Oak was a short walk around the corner and is a great little pub. Good access to major roads and Bath. Five miles down the road is the town of Tetbury and has everything you need. A charming market town with a superstore. Local hotel of Tetbury is "The Close" great for lunch or coffee. Lovely gardens to enjoy. Leighterton and Tetbury locals were very friendly.see more

THE LOCK HOUSE, pet friendly, character holiday cottage, with a garden in
Unusual location

Booking service efficient, the owner living 20 miles away could pose problems if there was an emergency,in fact we had to call him out for something minor which seems a shame,if he had someone local he could call on it would be useful. But he attended willingly enough.Spacious house, furnished & decorated nicely, liked the novelty of overlooking both the canal & the river, unfortunately the inclement weather prevented us from fully enjoying the amenities.Loved the location of the house though. And being within easy walking distance of museums & shops was ideal as we do not drive.Favourite experiences were the various museums, the cathedral & the shopping outlet, particularly the antiques Centre. My only criticism would be the apparent lack of public transport, though we didn't have occasion to use it on this holiday, we might like to travel further afield if we visited again.Hopefully there would be more buses in the holiday season.see more

Stay at the Perfumery - Oberon - River View Apartment
Fantastic apartment in a Wonderful Location!

We can honestly say this is the best accommodation we've ever stayed in! Every possible consideration has been given when equipping the apartment - from the luxury of four different settings of 'mood lighting', air conditioning in the bedroom and speakers in the bathroom to the practicality of the kitchen, providing washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. Detailed comprehensive information is provided in the apartment about the village and surrounding areas which was very useful. Views from the apartment windows are amazing and the perfumery garden is beautiful. John Stephen, the owner, and his staff are really friendly and on-hand if needed. The tour of the Perfumery Factory is a must too - it was really interesting and informative. And the Cotswold Perfumery Shop is there to buy your perfume and jewellery gifts to take home. Everything about our week in apartment 1 was memorable and we can't wait to return for another holiday there!see more
