Left on 04/29/2013 for a stay in April 2013
We have just returned from a week at Kokomo and can't say enough about the paradise we feel we have found. The location is spectacular - from the white sand and green/blue waters, to the breathtaking vista of stars to view at night (from the patio hot tub with glass of wine in hand - does it get any better than that???).The shallow waters were perfect for our young girls to play in, and finding starfish & sand dollars just capped off the experience for them. The fact that you are not sharing your paradise with 948 other tourists makes it that much more enjoyable. You can truly sit and breathe in the serenity...and feel it right down to your toes. Kokomo was a fantastic house-Lovely and clean, and well appointed with everything we needed. We felt instantly at home and cared for it as we would our own place. You can't beat the convenience of having a house right on the beach - no "running all the way back to your hotel room" for the book you meant to bring down to the beach. I could fill 10 pages with all the positive feedback I have for this magical destination, fabulous rental and just as importantly, Kathy & Gary who we rented from. They were extremely friendly and efficient with all of our communications while planning this trip, and what was even better is that we were able to meet them in person as they were in abaco during our stay. Incredibly genuine and welcoming, Kathy & Gary are the kind of people who are just so pleased to have their rentals enjoyed and respected by good vacationers. They were lovely to get to know, and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and gave us lots of advice on destinations and outings. They are exactly the kind of people you want to rent from, and you can feel confident you will get the holiday to want for the money you spend. We are already booking for next year - that should be enough proof that we couldn't have been happier with our choice of vacation. Thank you Kathy & Gary!!

We have vacationed in many spots in the Carribbean, our vacation at abaco Palms was absolutely the best for us to spent time with our now older children to just enjoy the surroundings and each other. The water was amazing and the rays and sea stars were an awesome site. Thanks to Kathy and Gary Heacock, the owners, for openning up their home to us.

Our family vacation to abaco Palms was one of the best vacations we have experienced. Everyone had a wonderful time. Your home had everything and more that we needed. The water is absolutely beautiful. We all enjoyed the snorkeling, boating, kayaking, walking on the beach, collecting shells and exploring the area. Kathy was very helpful in answering questions and preparing us for this adventure. Not only did we enjoy the beautiful area, but the people as well. You have some wonderful neighbors.

Our stay at the Kokomo house was perfect. The pictures do not due it justice of the house or the beach. Lay out, explore, collect shells, snorkel, fish, and take in the beautiful scenery just steps from the house. Kathy goes out of her way before, during and after the trip to make sure you have a good time. If Kathy recommends something, you should do it.

We visited Kokomo and abaco Palms both last June for a family vacation. It was phenomenal!!! The amenities were superb. Kathy was super accommodating with everything we needed, before during and after the trip. It was so nice to arrive and have a van waiting for us right off the plane, get to the house and have a welcome bottle of champagne, wake up and have directions on where to go snorkeling and spearing on the reefs in the skiff. Kathy and Gary were both there when we came down so we got to meet our wonderful hosts! We can't wait to go back and have already planned a trip with our extended family for June of 2013. Thank you, Kathy!! You had beautiful material to work with but your touch has made it heaven on earth.

We vacationed at the Kokomo house and it was over the top! We loved the quiet beach and listening to the ocean through our bedroom window at night. The fishing was fun with the boat and kayaks, we even saw some dolphins while kayaking near the house one day! We will definitely be back soon!

Chicago, ILA perfect vacation!
Left on 09/20/2012 for a stay in August 2012
When I began planning this trip with my family, I had in mind a vision of a place I wanted to be and what I wanted to be doing while I was there. I had no idea it actually existed, or that we could actually find it. But we certainly did at abaco Palms! We have had many beach vacations over the years and everyone agreed that this was by far the best combination of all the factors needed to make a vacation what it should be - relaxing, enjoyable and very hard to leave! No one cared at all when Hurricane Isaac "trapped" us there for an extra day. We brought suitcases of clothes we never wore because every day we spent exploring, swimming, snorkeling, fishing, building sand castles and kayaking before grilling fresh fish and enjoying our dinner and evenings on the incredible deck (either sitting in the hot tub or lounging in chairs) with a moonlit ocean extending into a sea of stars with the milky way in the backdrop. Quite simply, it was a perfect vacation at a phenomenal place with amenities like the van, boat and kayaks that really distinguish abaco Palms from other places I found online. And while the pictures are beautiful, they could never do justice to the reality of what you find once you get there. My recommendation is simple: make it happen and get yourself to abaco Palms! Fortunately for us, the owners were staying at Kokomo the same week so we were able to meet them. Gary and Kathy are as wonderful, friendly and helpful as you could imagine - what a treat! We enjoyed visiting with them and hearing more about why they love abaco so dearly and genuinely want their guests to love it, too. Their sweet spirits resonate throughout their beautiful house and truly make you feel at home while you're there. But like every vacation, it had to come to an end at some point. While I didn't at all want to leave abaco, I was not sad. I was happy. Happy that we had found a place I could only best describe as paradise, and most confident that we would return. I can't wait!

Our goal was for our 2 kids to experience the clear water and white sandy beaches of the Caribbean. Abaco Palms exceeded our goal and our expectations. At the end of the week our kids did not want to leave and wanted to know when we could return. Kathy's attention to details in the house, where to shop for local bread, restaurants, snorkeling sites etc... is far above any vacation rental I have used. The house had every amenity you could think of. The boat allowed us to explore the reefs and the wonderful snorkeling. The van for running into town when needed and kayaks, floats, beach toys, , fishing pole the list would go on forever. If you are looking for a great vacation destination with your family a group of friends or as a couple abaco Palms is a must. We will definitely return.

We recently spent a week at abaco Palms with our family. It was absolutely perfect for us. Beautiful home, amazing beach and Kathy has thought of everything you might possibly need/want on your vacation. She is great to work with, provides you with information and answers all your questions. Kathy and Gary were staying at Kokomo (their other rental) and were the nicest people ever. We loved having the van, the boat and the kayaks. I would give this place and experience 10 stars if it would let me. We will definitely return!

Abaco Palms proved to be perfect beyond our expectations. From the moment we booked the home, Kathy was a gem to work with. She answered all questions quickly and left no detail unaddressed. The house itself is gorgeous. "Fix-It Guy Bill" down the street was at the home within minutes if we had a question or problem. Not to be missed is the sand spit just a short walk up the beach; at low tide it's the perfect place to enjoy the impossibly beautiful water. Very helpful to have someone confident/competent in boating to explore farther than the kayaks can take you.

I just spend 9 days and 8 nights a the best vacation spot ever. Kathy the owner has gone out of her way to meet every possible need for a great vacation. The spacious 4 bedrooms, the Van, Boat, Kayaks and everything else was just great. We had 8 kids from ages 2 to 12 and they had a wonderful time on the best beach anywhere. We fished, ate fresh conch, snorkeled the reefs and enjoyed everything abaco Palms offers. If you want to have a truly great vacation with your family and friends I recommend abaco Palms. Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida"That's where we want to go... way down to Kokomo."
Left on 06/16/2012 for a stay in June 2012
Sad to say... our vacation went much too fast, but we made the most of our time here. We all agree that we definitely made the right choice when we picked Kokomo as our abacos destination. Waking up each day in this great home and looking out at the spectacular view was the perfect way to start our mornings.
Other than the heavy rain on our arrival day, we had wonderful weather and took advantage of it by taking the boat out for part of everyday. Michael became proficient with the Hawaiian sling and even I managed to spear a large ocean perch. We snorkeled, fished, and explored much of the Cherokee Sound area, including a fun afternoon at a Blue Hole (we caught several nice snapper and lost a couple of large ones). Our trip over to Hope Town was fun. It was exactly what we pictured an island town would be. We wandered, shopped, and had lobster and fries at Munchies. We also made our way to Snappas, Wally's, Pete's Bar, Nancy's at Sandy Point, and Treasure Cay. All in all, I'm not sure we could have done much more. However, our early mornings and late evenings at the house were probably our most special times. We sat on the deck and talked, enjoyed cooking meals together, played scrabble after dinner (while we watched Miami win their series against Boston), and stargazed from the hot tub. It really was the experience we were looking for and even more than expected.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful home (and beach) with us. What wonderful memories we will take home with us...

We had a fabulous time! The house is perfect and has the best accomodations that anyone could ask for! The van and the boat worked out very well. The hot tub was a favorite. We enjoyed having people bring in a dinner as well as driving to Marsh Harbor for dinner. The weather was not as cooperative - but we managed to have fun inspite of it. We took in some local farm markets and the bakeries too! Couldn't have been happier on this vacation.

We (two couples) stayed at Kokomo for a week. The home, appliances, furnishings and other amenities are very high quality and well maintained. The view from the deck, especially at sunset is fantastic, and the beach is inviting. Having a boat at our disposal was a big plus and we used it for fishing, accessing the reefs and small islands for snorkeling, and checking out the blue holes.
Kathy is extremely well organized and made the whole rental process easy and personal. She answered my many questions almost before (it seemed) I could ask them and provided us with loads of interesting information about abaco and the Bahamas. The bottle of sparkling wine waiting for us when we arrived was a thoughtful touch.
I feel anyone wanting to experience abaco for a week, or more, will not be disappointed if you do so staying at the Heacock's Kokomo house. We highly recommend it.

Our "crew" of six normally charter and sail in the BVI, but this time decided to be really lazy and rent a place on the beach. Great move ! You don't have to do anything more than crawl out on the beach after breakfast, but you can take the boat to explore or use the van to get around. This is a beautiful spot, everything is top quality and worked perfecly, it has been well thought out to provide all you need. Just unpack and have a great time... if you don't, it's your own fault.

We rented the Kokomo vacation home. Kathy was easy to work with, responded quickly to questions and provided detailed, accurate information about the home and abaco Island. We loved the beautiful beach right at the doorstep and the stunning colors of the water. The home is well-appointed and well-kept; the addition of a couple of fishing rods would be great. The inclusion of the van and skiff were much appreciated. The kayaks are in great condition, and we enjoyed using them to explore the nearby islands. The Marsh Harbour shops were reasonably priced (groceries, fresh fish, and bakery) and we really enjoyed the local restaurants (Mangoes, Curly Tails, and Snappas). We fell in love with the island and Kokomo; we can't wait to return! This was by far our most relaxing vacation.

We had a wonderful stay at abaco Palms. Everything was just as it was stated in the description. The owner Kathy was so easy to work with. She made sure all our questions were answered and made us feel very comfortable in her vacation home. We have 9 & 10 year old boys who had a great time exploring the surrounding beach, snorkeling, swimming and boating. My husband loves to fish and he did just that everyday. This was by far our best family vacation. We will definitely be coming back. It was nice to arrive at the house and know that dinner would be arriving for us that evening. Highlights of our trip: Pete's Pub, Treasure Cay, finding a message in a bottle, blue hole swimming, snorkeling at the reefs right in front of the house, kayaking, fishing and most importantly relaxing. We really enjoyed the friendly people of abaco.

We stayed at the Kokomo Villa for the second time in two years with our best friends. When we arrived it truly was like coming home again and we knew it was going to be hard to say goodbye when the time came. We were fortunate enough to be here when the owners, Kathy and Gary, were also here in their other house (the abaco Palms) and so we got to meet them. They are a delight and Kathy really is a great person to work with in making your vacation one you will never forget. The van was waiting for us at the airport and that is such a wonderful perk. It is big, so we had room for us, our luggage (and we don't like to travel light), and the trip into Marsh Harbour to pick up supplies before we headed to Casurina Point. We used the Skiff and that was such fun to get to go and visit the islands close by. Kathy has the times of low and high tide available there too. As to the villa itself, it is beautiful and everything that you could possibly need is right there. The beach is really nice and we walked for miles picking up shells and treasures of the sea. Once again we had a most memorable vacation and are already yearning for the next time when we can return. I know you will love it.

Left on 03/19/2012 for a stay in March 2012
We returned to abaco for our second stay at Kokomo (same owner and beach front as the abaco Palms property) with our best friends for twelve nights. Kokomo is ideal for two couples or a small family. We've rented homes in Hawaii and St. Martin and Kathy's properties are by far the prize winners. This was our third trip back to abaco. We very much enjoy the Bahamian culture and the friendly people of abaco. It's great to be in an area that isn't flooded with tourists. Casuarina Point in abaco is a place where you forget the rest of the world until it's time to leave. Upon departing, you can't help but leave a piece of your heart behind in abaco. A definite drawing factor for us to this rental property is the provision of the passenger van and the 16' Carolina Skiff for boating. The van is ready for you upon arrival at the airport, and the skiff is moored right outside the house on your shoreline. I can't even begin to describe the wonderful white sand beach that extends in both directions. We will be forever spoiled by the gin clear waters of Casuarina Point that are just steps out your door. You can swim and snorkel for hundreds of yards and still only be chest high in water. When the tide goes out, you have a number of sand bars to walk, shell, and find starfish that are waiting for the waters to return. Kathy has simply thought of every amenity that you could possibly need in the house. She is very proficient in making sure that all arrangements flow smoothly. The peaceful and almost private beach with its serene waters can never be forgotten. My heart will always long to return to Casuarina Point. Thank you, Kathy, for sharing your beautiful shore homes!

I hate to tell you how good a place this is because, selfishly, it may make it harder to book in future!! But the way Kathy operates this place deserves a good review. I echo the other reviews that Kathy is very nice to work with as she is very organized and has thought of everything you will need to have a nice vacation. The house is beautiful and Kathy has equiped it with virtually everything. This is no stripped down rental. The setting is ideal, tranquil, and relaxing. You won't see many people on the white sand beaches in either direction. We enjoyed the boat and I spent every day in the water catching fish, lobster, and conch, which we had for dinner. Yummie!! The girls enjoyed lounging right out front in the sand patiently waiting for their banana, coffee, and rum smoothies. Wifi worked great and was convenient for the Internet, making phone calls, and listening to music. Sitting out in the jacuzzi watching the sun set wasn't too bad either. If you are looking to relax, read, eat, enjoy good friends and the ocean, this is the place for you. In a world where you get used to dissapointments, this was not. But, Ssshhh don't tell anyone. Thank you, Kathy!!

Our first visit to abaco, Bahamas was made even more special by being able to stay at abaco Palms. Kathy bent over backwards to ensure our stay was one that would be the highlight of our Bahamian holiday (we spent a week in Nassau as well). She answered all of our pre-holiday questions quickly and always made herself available to answer more. She is such a pleasant person to deal with! The home itself was absolutely perfect, and the location is simply paradise. We didn't find ourselves wanting for anything - the house has it all, and then some! The older people in our group enjoyed the warm weather on the expansive deck or on the beach under the umbrella. The 20-somethings loved having the kayaks and the Carolina Skiff at their disposal! Having a van to toodle around in made trips into Marsh Harbour so easy, and that it was at the airport waiting for us upon our arrival was fabulous - no need to go through the hassles of renting a car! We all enjoyed ourselves immensely and are looking forward to next year, when we are already planning our abaco vacation. And there's no doubt about where we'll be staying!

My wife and I stayed at abaco Palms with our two young boys (8 and 6) Jan 31 to February 6, 2012. It was our first visit to abaco and we were very pleased with our decision to rent abaco Palms for the week.
We had been looking for a beach getaway for our very active boys. We wanted privacy and space for the kids to run without having to worry about crowds. This place was perfect.
The house is right on the water and we were very pleased with our choice. Everything was ready for us to use and it was really nice to have all the comforts of home while away. Kathy arranged for the van to be waiting for us at the airport and it was very convenient to get off the plane and right into the van. No muss, no fuss.
Kathy is exceptional at getting you information on the area and we found it very easy to deal with her. There were absolutely no problems or concerns at any time and she was very professional and patient with our many emails. We booked with her on short notice and she was able to accommodate our last minute booking with ease.
The house is easily the best rental for the area. The furnishing are top notch, the appliances and finish is high quality, and the decorations are very tastefully done. There are four bedrooms and each one has its own walk-in closet and ensuite (with showers and tubs). There is a large hot tub on the front deck, which looks out over the ocean.
The area is very quiet and we only would see a few people each day. We had the run of the bay and more than a mile of beach to ourselves. The kids played in the sand and swam in the bay. When the tide goes out, there are sand bars that you can walk out for a long way. Everything about this beach feels safe and private.
We had considered other rentals in the area but had some concern as to the quality of the homes. This house did not disappoint and this is one of those times that you do get what you pay for. We walked up and down the beach and saw what else was out there and we were so happy that we picked this one.
The house also has a boat for use in the bay, which our kids loved. We used it to get around to snorkel and fishing spots and it was really convenient to have it moored right at the beach in front of the house.
This is one of those houses that just invite you in and make you feel at home. We were able to get our groceries and beverages in town and settle right in. The hardest part was leaving when the week was done. -

We just returned from our second trip to this perfect vacation spot. There is a reason that we returned to spend several days at Kokomo after an initial visit to abaco Palms. Both places are precisely what one hopes a vacation home will be in every way. I can personally guarantee it because I have experienced it twice. Several words come to mind when I think of this get-away location. First, beauty. The waters of the bay, just steps from both houses, are absolutely beautiful. If you have ever seen a Corona commercial the beautiful scene could have just as well been created on the beach in front of each home. The scene is that beautiful. Second, accommodations. Gary and Kathy have obviously gone to great lengths with regard to every detail to make the stay perfect. I have never stayed at a place more beautiful or any place as accommodating. Every amenity and every detail was provided to perfection, and I can personally guarantee that you will want for nothing. Finally, it is a unique vacation. You are absolutely free to explore land or water without limitation. Each house has its own boat and van available to the residents, leaving you free to explore and enjoy with no limitations. You have my personal guarantee it will absolutely be the best vacation spot you have ever encountered. Feel free to go and enjoy without any worries or reservations.

One thing, of many, which I was impressed with, was that your info and website are exactly what you provide once you're there. There is no danger of false advertisement or disappointment. In fact, you offer even more then you say. Thank you for a wonderful vacation we're still talking about.

Left on 10/12/2011 for a stay in September 2011
Darci and I loved the week we spent in that sunny corner of paradise known as abaco Palms. We've been home a week, and we're still chatting excitedly about the heavenly blue skies, the soothing breezes, the spacious home, the rhythmic waves, and the helpful red-haired host that graced our time there. It was a true delight to know that someone as vibrant as Kathy was available whenever our small group had questions about where to go and what to see on the island. Like the beachside setting for the house, Kathy was always a bundle of brightness and joy. Our time spent taking the boat and kayaks to the nearby uninhabited islets, snorkeling amongst finned rainbows, strolling at low tide on velvety sandbars, ferrying to colonial villages such as Hope Town, and collecting natural treasures left on the endless beaches by each night's whispery waves left no doubts we were in one of this world's most magical retreats. Put all the above with the scrumptious shrimp scampi at Snappa's Retaurant in Marsh Harbor, and how can we blamed for regretting that we couldn't stay two weeks on abaco?
Once again, we thank abaco Palm's owners, Kathy and Gary, from the bottom of our slightly sunburnt hearts for sharing such a special part of their lives with our group of six from the distant north lands. Our journey to the islands of the Bahamas shall resonate in our memories for as long as we live.

Left on 09/09/2011 for a stay in June 2011
My husband and I stayed at the Kokomo home (same owner/same beach as abaco Palms) with friends. This house is well suited
for two couples or a family. The accommodations are exceptional -
everything is first class. The home is very clean and well stocked with many amenities. The owners have thought of everything - we were impressed by the attention to detail. Kathy was so helpful in planning our trip - she provided us with great advice and information about the area to help us get the most out of our stay. The back deck provides a breathtaking view of the ocean and a great place to relax. Including the van and a 16' Carolina Skiff boat for exploring was a wonderful
addition. Having internet and a phone to help you stay in touch with the world was a plus. The little details the owner adds makes all the difference - down to the basket of beach towels by the back door! We enjoyed taking the kayaks out for the day (which are also included), snorkeling at the nearby reefs, relaxing on the beach and island hopping. You have to try the bread from the Island Bakery and go to Pete's Pub - we went several times - the food is great and it is an "adventure" just getting there! The Kokomo home gives new meaning to the word "paradise" - it will exceed your expectations. We would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for the perfect vacation. Kathy, thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us!

August 4-9, 2011 we stayed at the Kokomo home from the same owner. This house was detail to perfection. The home is new, spotless, well stocked, well thought out for vacationing guests. The back deck is like 6 feet from beautiful clear ocean. Not the ocean type? Relax in the hot/cool tub on the back deck. This home is very comfortable, rental includes a van and a 16' Carolina Skiff boat for exploring. Beautiful tile floors throughout, nicely appointed baths, basket of towels by back door, and an outside shower on the deck. Also stocked with plenty of videos and board games to keep everyone happy. Cable and three Tv's, wireless enabled; Loved the white sugar sand, and had great kayak races "yes they come with the house also" along this sheltered shoreline. Give it a 5+ rating and would stay there again. Far enough from town for privacy, close enough for groceries, restaurants, and the wonderful Island Bakery where we got our bread, pastries and even indulged in some cake slices.

Our stay was one of complete and utter delight! The property owner was wonderful to work with and was so very organized. She included all the information needed about the villa, Casuarina Point, and Marsh Harbour in a neat little packet. We appreciated all of the ammenities in the villa also. We couldn't think of a thing that wasn't there at our fingertips. The calm waters in front of the villa let us enjoy snorkeling to our heart's content and walking the beautiful shores to pick shells was always a treat. We came back with SD cards full of amazing pictures and precious memories to last a lifetime! Needless to say, we can't wait for our next trip to this amazing place.

Abaco Palms was a great place to spend time with 4 active teens. The rental includes a small boat, 3-kayaks and a van. The boat and kayaks allows you unlimited access to the cay and reefs immediately in front of the house. The calm clear waters are great for swimming and snorkeling. The van allows you to explore the island, shop or go out to eat. Great place to relax and enjoy the family.

Weatherford, TXThe Perfect Beach Vacation!!
Left on 07/21/2011 for a stay in June 2011
We have rented this home two years in a row. If you are looking for a place on abaco, you will not find a place better than this. The home is well equipped and has everything you will need. The owners are very helpful and provide a lot of information on the area. The home is just as beautiful as described and very well maintained. The beach is one that you will never want to leave. You can use the boat that is included to snorkel at several reefs in the area. Our family really enjoys taking the boat over to some of the small islands and exploring them. Most days you will see nobody else on the beach. We took fishing poles with us and caught fresh fish everyday from the skiff. Take a handheld GPS with you so you can log places you want to go back to. The owner also provides coordinates to some of the reefs and blue holes that are nearby. You can use the van to explore other areas of abaco. Be sure to visit Pete's Pub near Cherokee Sound. We make a few trips there every visit. In Marsh Harbor, look for a place called Conchy Joe's. It is on a floating dock just as you turn on the road that heads to the ferry landing. Excellent conch salad and fritters. I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a beach vacation in abaco. We are already starting to plan our next trip.

Brookfield, WIWonderful family vacation - beach, relaxing, swimming, fishing.

We stayed at Kokomo, the sister property to abaco Palms (2 BR/2Ba) - owned by the same people and located just a few houses down the exact same beach.
For our active family of five - three children ages 3, 5 (little girls), and 12 (boy) - it was the perfect getaway to relax, unwind, and simply enjoy each other and all this quiet island has to offer.
The accommodations were perfect! From the white spa-like towels, island decor, comfortable beds, tile floors, granite countertops, beach towels, A/C, ceiling fans, separate ice maker (loved that!!!), washer/dryer, kayaks, deck and lounge chairs, to the 16 ft boat moored right in front, and the mini-van waiting for us at the airport!!!
The location is about a 20-25 min ride from town. We stocked up on groceries after landing. There is a very new, modern grocery store that has everything. Both properties have amazing locations - right on the beach. Both rentals have decks and lots of sliding glass doors so you can enjoy the views and sound of the water at any time!!! The beach is wonderful, quiet, and safe to walk. The water is calm, blue, and shallow - with 2 small children, we didn't want any undertow to worry about. The beach and water in front of the rentals is perfect for lounging, swimming, and just relaxing. We organized our daily activities around the tide chart. We found this kind of fun - at low tide, you could walk "forever" on sand bars to search (and find) conch shells, sand dollars, and big orange star fish.
At high tide, we'd take the boat out for fishing and snorkeling atop beautiful coral reefs. We had fresh fish (snapper, grouper, parrot fish, yellow tail) three nights during our 1 week stay!!!
There is also good bone fishing right off the property (you can wade) and nearby using the skiff. I also loved fishing the channel that runs very nearby (5 mins w/skiff) the rental.
My family has the best memories from our stay here!!! Thank you!!! -

Abaco Palms is a clean and well equipped home on a beautiful beach in the Bahamas with bonefishing right out the back door. The kitchen has everything you need and the beds are very comfortable. Highly recommend this home for either families looking for a week at the beach or fisherman wanting a clean comfortable place to come home to after a day on the flats.

My hubby & I stayed at Kokomo for 10 days in april. We have traveled all over to many islands & try to see a different place w/each vaca. However, we would return to Kokomo over & over again! Having a van waiting for your use at the airport & a boat at your disposal was icing on the cake. The setting was stunning. The reef out front kept the water calm & safe. The accommodations were beautifully appointed & the kitchen left nothing to be desired. The south facing beach went on for miles & was a wonderful walk. You name it, they have it. We fell in love w/this gem. You will, too! Go to kokomoabaco.com & see just what it's all about!

The house was large enough for all of us (6 adults, 4 children), clean, more than we expected. Was great to have a van waiting at the airport. The kayaks were lots of fun, the boat was useful for snorkeling. It was great to have all this included in the house, didn't have to worry about booking those items separately. Kathy was very helpful, provided great information, answered our questions quickly. The beach/ocean area was wonderful. This is one of our best vacations. Would recommend it to everyone.

Reading, PAAbaco...all inclusive bahamas vacation.
Left on 07/09/2011 for a stay in April 2011
hello all,
recently returned from a bahamas adventure.
i am a big fan of "do it yourself" flyfishing adventures and this trip was special in many ways as i will describe below.
we flew from philadelphia into west palm beach florida. from there, it was a short flight with bahamasair into marsh harbour, abaco. we spent a week on this island.
our accomodations were in a 2 bed room rental house right on the beach in casuarina point. this is 14 miles south of the airport.
the rental home was nothing short of spectacular...check out kokomoabaco.com. the 2 bedroom home was right on the beach, 30 feet from the waters edge with bonefish passing the front porch in plan site every afternoon.
the rental is complete with a white mini-van (which was parked at the airport waiting for our arrival) and a 16' carolina skiff with 20 hp outboard honda 4 stroke engine.
snorkling was spectacular and right out in front of the rental property. exotic sea shells decorated the beaches as far as one could see.
the rental property as mentioned above was so "complete" that we never ventured far from home. grocery and gift shopping in town, and dinning and sight seeing were our major activities away from the ocean.
finally, the kokomo rental was absolutely gorgeous with airconditioning, flat screen tv's (watched the final four ncaa tournament), vonage phone service, and wifi. all amenities were there...all from dish soap, laundry soap, linens and towels to fresh running water, full kitchen, and most importantly, ice machine!

We were delighted! The house is beautiful. The setting spectacular. The Heacock's have truly thought of everything and we were able to settle in with ease. We snorkeled almost every day, walked the beach, cooked great meals, explored the island and had a great fishing adventure! If you are looking to just chill out and relax, this is the place to come.

There would be no vacation that could ever compare to the stay we had at abaco! The home, beach and all the sea treasures we found were beautiful and amazing. It was a very safe location, everything was easy to find and the people on the island were very friendly and welcoming. We actually made a friend that we now stay in contact with. The homeowner, Kathy, made everything as hassle free as possible. Providing us with maps, keys and any other tips necessary before we arrived. The only downfall was that our trip came to an end and we had to leave! Cant wait to return and neither can our children!
