Located in South Abaco, Bahamas on a beautiful white, powdery sand beach overlooking Cherokee Sound, a breathtaking shallow water bay. Great spot to wade and fly fish for bonefish, go kayaking, beachcomb, shelling or swimming. Snorkeling at the coral heads off shore is spectacular. Also located on the property is your very own private boat basin. Stand on the seawall and fish for snapper and bonefish. Very private area, on a dead end road with lots of wild life. Sunbathe in privacy on the sundeck. At low tide there is a sand flat, ideal for shelling. Other restaurants are located just a short drive away. For guided fly fishing, there is a local guide at the end of the street, well worth spending the day with. Across the bay at Cherokee Sound there are Deep Sea fishing charters available. There are several off shore, uninhabited islands called 'cays' that are great for beachcombing, shelling and barbqueing. Just a 5 minute drive south of Casuarina Point you can view the rare Abaco Parrot, a spectacular beauty. Abaco, Bahamas is a great island for a family vacation, honeymoon, girls getaway, special celebration. Come relax and play! This will be the best vacation EVER!

We rented Donna & Jamie's house for the last full week in March and were very happy with our choice. After looking at numerous properties, theirs stood out due to it's location on a point, on the beach and with bonefish ing literally steps away from the house. We loved the kayaks and used them daily to access the smaller islands either for pleasure or in search of new spots to fish for the elusive bonefish. Definitely rent the small boat that is available. We loved the additional exploration this option afforded.
The house is simple in its design and very nicely appointed. It lacked nothing and if it did, the owners live minutes away and were very helpful and kind to offer their help with anything or leave us alone to enjoy the island.
This spot suited all our kids - ages 20, 18 & 13 and I would also highly recommend it for families with young kids as the water is not at all deep here.

If your looking for waverunners, bazaars, or crowds of people you wont find it here. Groceries and refreshments were conveniently located near airport and we were able to have our toes in the sand in 30 mins. The house is above the ground and has a spectacular view of the penisular tip. The Kayaks are conveniently located on rafters below. Theres a canal that is on side for those who use the boat. We went fishing for wahoo and were in 2000 ? ft in about 25 mins. Theres a blue hole about a 1/4 mile from the house for those adventurous divers. Otherwise there plenty to explore nearby whether you scourge the beach for shells or sanddollars, there were scads on low tide. i didnt see a soul on the beach for two days. We took the kayaks out to a barrier island know as "the point of spit". We went diving in the shallow waters and found some scattered lobsters. The ocean bottom was littered with seagrass and conch of all sizes. Huge colorful starfish were highly visible in the crystal waters. I was in awe of the pristine waters and abundant sea life, its a true paradise. Also on this island i caught my first fish on a fly rod ,not lucky enough to catch a bonefish but they were there. The house is spacious and of high quality. From the granite kitchen to the leather sofas and Hi def tv and surround sound. The master bedroom has a awesome view over looking the water, and surrounding islands. Its large double head shower and king size bed were luxurious. All amenities and outdoor patio made for a spectacular sunny vacation.

I had such an amazing time in abaco. The house was absolutely beautiful, and totally equipped with everything I would ever need. The patio and rooms look out to the most beautiful horizon, perfect for my morning coffees. The view is so breathtaking and inviting but you may not want to leave the house! I found myself torn between the two quite a few times. This is the perfect place for a relaxing vacation. I wish I could have stayed longer.

I've just returned from a bonefishing extented weekend. I stayed at this beautiful and charming new beach front home with all of the amenitites that one could ask for. It has flat screen t.v.s in the livingroom and all bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops and a great island. It has telephone service to the States.The view from the home is spectacular, not another home in sight. I was very content both in the mornings and evenings to just be in this lovely, comfortable home enjoying both the inside and the beach and water vista. I highly recommend this beachfront property for families as well as fisherman.

Look no further, truly this location is a fisherman's paradise. No crowds and quite off the beaten path but easy to get to. You don't have to ride your boat out far to catch quality fish such as mackerel, grouper, dolphin, red snapper, yellowtail, etc. Everything is in your backyard. Bone fishing with a fly rod is wonderful and plenty right outside the house. Just walk into the shallow area and you are set. The house I stayed at is beautiful and very modern with all of the latest amenities such as flat screen TV in the living room and bedroom, cable, Wi-Fi, central air conditioning, ceiling fans, full bathrooms, hot and cold water-softened and filtered. The master bedroom and another bedroom overlook the ocean. There is a fully equipped kitchen with gas range and oven, refrigerator and freezer, microwave, bar area with ice maker, and all of the highest cooking quality ware and utensils, coffee maker, mixture, waffle maker etc. One night I made a great seafood pizza. The other day we fried and bake fish and also made a key lime pie. I enjoyed riding the kayak supplied by the owner and also took my fishing rod with me. A small boat is available with a brand new engine and you don't need to take it somewhere and launch it because it is tied to the canal right in the back yard and ready for you to use. It hard to find a house on a nice beach with canal access. What you will get out of your trip is a place to relax, get away from the traffic and noise and plenty of fishing.

I feel rejuvenated after my stay at the Key Lime House. It was a week in paradise. Our favorite activity was kayaking (3 single person kayaks provided free at the house) from right outside the house around the beautiful bay area, in the afternoons and watching the sunset from the water. We saw sting rays, shore birds, bonefish and other fish, starfish.. Also enjoyed boating to the nearby island for picnics, shelling and walking along the beach and on the big sand bank in front of the house. The house is beautiful (brand new!) and very comfortable and clean, feels like home or better! The view from inside the living room and bedrooms is amazing, and of course the panoramic view of the shallow bay area, mangrove forest, and ocean from the deck is breathtaking. It was a wonderful way to spend our Thanksgiving. Also, we ate at the Golden Grouper in Marsh Harbour for lunch - good authentic Bahamian food - and went to Pete's Pub in Little Harbour for drinks/appetizers on a Friday night. Both places are about 20 mins away.
