Villa Oldenhoff is situated in a beautiful rural location in the centre of a polder bordered by the River Holendrecht. This polder links the picturesque villages of Ouderkerk aan de Amstel and Abcoude, and is less than 10km from Amsterdam.

Our modern Bed & Breakfast provides all you need for a wonderful stay; peace and quiet, beautiful views over open countryside, luxury, comfort, in a restful rural environment. Villa Oldenhoff combines the traditions of yesterday with the modern comforts and facilities of today.

Villa Oldenhoff provides six large rooms each with a kitchenette, bathroom and toilet. There is also a fully equipped l...arge communal kitchen.

The Garden Rooms are situated in the old cheese store. Opening directly onto the patio these rooms provide opportunity to enjoy the sun in our private gardens.

These modern well appointed rooms have natural stone floors with under-floor-heating. The bedroom has the comfort of a box-spring bed from Jensen and the bathroom has a walk-in shower with rain shower facility.

Your breakfast can be enjoyed in the breakfast room or served in your room, or when the weather is good on the patio. The choice is yours! In your room there is even a small kitchen area with a combination oven, Nespresso coffee machine, and fridge.

On the middle level of the house are the Parlourrooms.

These rooms are in the previous Drawing Room and have a rural feel to them. These rooms provide the occupants with magnificent views to the north and south of the unspoiled countryside, the dikes and of course the garden. These rooms are fitted to the highest modern standards. The floor is warm stripped wood. In your room there is a small kitchen area with a combination oven, Nespresso coffee machine, and fridge. The bedroom has en suite with a box-spring bed from Jensen and a bath and rain shower.

Our attic rooms are full of rural atmosphere. The vaulted roof and views towards Amsterdam and over the polder gives these rooms a unique and special feel.

These rooms like all our rooms are appointed to the highest standards. The two rooms have natural stone floors with under-floor-heating. The bathroom has the luxury of a free standing bath and walk-in shower.

Breakfast can be enjoyed in the breakfast room or served in your room, or when the weather is good in the garden.

Villa Oldenhoff is situated in beautiful countryside, but is close to Amsterdam, with its museums, cinemas, and bustling nightlife. The Arena, Heineken Music Hall and Ziggo Dome are accessible by bicycle, which makes visiting a football match an easy! From Abcoude there are direct buses and trains into the heart of Amsterdam.

In front of the villa runs the River Holendrecht which connects us via the Waver to the lakes at Vinkeveen, an excellent area for summer recreation. The Holenrecht also connects with the River Amstel which will take you directly into Amsterdam city centre. The picturesque villages of Abcoude, Bambrugge, and Ouderkerk aan de Amstel are also accessible by boat.

You can even use our launch to experience the canals of Amsterdam, or with a rowing boat or canoe enjoy the navigations of the area.

Villa Oldenhoff is surrounded by an expansive network of cycle lanes. Borrow a map, hire one of our cycles, and enjoy the Dutch countryside.

For nature lovers is the Botshol nature reserve only 10 minutes away by cycle. From one of the reedboats enjoy the peace and tranquility offered by this protected area. To protect the outstanding flora and fauna, reed beds and wildlife there are no motorboats in the reserve. In the cold winters when the waters In Botshol freeze you could even experience the dutch passion for skating.

Eating and drinking provides many choices right on our doorstep. Only two minute walk away is Herberg de Voetangel. A renowned restaurant with an outstanding kitchen and wine list. Five minutes away by car is Oudekerk aan de Amstel, known as the culinary centre of The Netherlands. Choose from the variety of restaurants providing excellent food; from simple meals to haute cuisine,Oudekerk has something for every palate.

Five minutes by car in the opposite direction is the village of Abcoude. Café/restuarant De Eendracht is an excellent place to enjoy summer evenings on their terrace.

A little further away is the village of Bambrugge where café De Punt is. This nostalgic Dutch café serves good food at a price that wont hurt the wallet!Read more
