It ' an elegant and quiet neighborhood close to the city center , heading south west towards the sea . Around the house there are roads that are a true concentrate of the history and evolution of Rome from the Roman Empire to the present day , with extraordinary historical artifacts and unique monuments . In addition, the house , which is about two kilometers from the city center, it is well connected to adjacent neighborhoods as well as the Via Cristoforo Colombo and as well as some of the best pieces of the Roman countryside, such as the one that runs along the guidelines of the street Ardeatina the Via Appia Antica, countryside rich in history that reflects the influence of the beneficial sea not far away .
PARKS AND MONUMENTS MONUMENT and ROADS
Next to the house and along the directive of the Queen of the Streets , the Appia Antica, there is the Park Ardeatino Scott, who represents the southern part of the Appia Antica Park , a large green strip that extends to cover a huge area that reaches south up to the via Appia Nuova and via Ardeatina the southeast and the via Cristoforo Colombo, both directed towards the sea. On the Via Appia Antica, the three kilometers between the Park Headquarters ( Port St. Sebastian is just before ) and the Mausoleum of Cecilia Metella meet the Catacombs of Callixtus , the basilica and catacombs of San Sebastiano , those Balbina and Domitilla , the Mausoleum of Romulus with the ruins of the Villa of Maxentius and the Circus of the Imperial Villa .
Very close to the house there are the tomb of Priscilla , the Domine Quo Vadis (or St. Maria of Plants ) , the ancient Roman Cistern of the Via Colombo , the Necropolis in via Semeria , the Columbarium of the Freedmen of Augustus and the circular basilica Ardeatina .
The Queen is via Appia Antica , walking , from a certain point onwards, only on foot.
