MontrealSpectacular view and beautiful appartment
Left on 05/20/2013 for a stay in May 2013
We unfortunately stayed only 2 nights. We wish we could have stayed a week. We felt like royalty. The appartment is absolutely beautiful : even better than what the pictures show. We lived on the terrace which is huge and has a spectacular view of the Mediterranean. The kitchen is fully equipped : stove, oven, pots and pans, oil, spices, rice, noodles - everything you could need to prepare meals. The appartment is 2 minutes away from the best restaurant in Israel : Uri Buri. It is also a great place from which to explore the old akko, by foot. When we got there, we were afraid it would be difficult to park (there were so many tourist buses) but when they leave at the end of the day, the place becomes really quiet and there's ample room for parking. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower, with 2 showerheads and a bench, was extraordinary. The only fault is that there is no elevator and it is quite a steep ride up the stairs to the 3rd floor. But as soon as you get there, you forget everyhing. It is so beautiful.

USAFantastic stay!!
Left on 04/21/2012 for a stay in March 2012
The apartment is beautiful, clean and with lots of amenities, full kitchen and terrace with a wonderful view of the sea. We absolutely loved the location, in a neighborhood in Old City. An easy walk to the main attractions in acre. Walking around the neighborhood in early evening gave us a sense of what life is like in this amazing old city. The apartment can be hard to find, even with a GPS, especially at night. Be ready to ask around but everyone was very friendly and helpful. Look for a small family grocery store near the House of abbud (Baha'i exile house) and Uri Buri restaurant. Also, the gas stove can be tricky to turn on, and the apartment is on the 3rd level of a house with no elevator, so be ready to carry your luggage all the way up a narrow staircase. We had a wonderful time in the apartment and in acre, and really enjoyed the view. Highly recommended! Travel light and bring matches/lighter for the stove.

This suite is truly perfect in it's location. The
huge terrace is open to the sea, with only the
ancient wall between you and the waves.
The Carmel mountain on your left, beautiful Rosh
Hanikra on your right.
The suite itself is a tastefuly restorated ancient
home with all the facilities for a laid back
mediterranean vacation.
The rooms, with the very high ceiling, thick stone
walls and mosaic decorations are very generous in
size. We couldn't stop our ooooh and aaaah with
every little discovery of another detail, but
dining on the terrace in the evening with the moon
reflected in the calm sea and an intoxicating
breeze in the air, was almost too good...
Acre was a revelation. An amazing ancient city,
full of surprises and less travelled.
