This is a lovely semi-detached cottage that comfortably sleeps two, attractively furnished and decorated throughout. The cottage enjoys a delightful elevated position on the outskirts of Addingham, a mere three miles from the fascinating Bolton Abbey and perfectly placed to discover the Yorkshire Dales. The cottage is warm, cosy and welcoming and features a comfortable sitting room with dining area, an excellently equipped kitchen and a large and airy master bedroom with stunning views of Beamsley Beacon. It's only a five minute walk to the thriving village centre, with its array of good pubs, including one gastro-pub, cafes and restaurants.... Visit the nearby towns of Ilkely and Skipton, or take a drive further afield to see the gorgeous limestone scenery of magnificent Malham and Grassington. If you're looking for a romantic break or just a break away from it all, this splendid cottage makes the ideal holiday base.

Town: In the Domesday Book, Addingham is referred to as "Ediham", or "Home of Edi" - the Earl Edwin of Bolton Abbey. This historic village is located between Ilkley and Skipton and sits snugly in the valley of the River Wharfe, only three miles from the Dales National Park at Bolton Abbey. A corn mill near where High Mills is today was also mentioned in the Domesday Book in 1315, and over from the river is a weir, one of the most ancient medieval constructions in the village. Scenic Bolton Abbey is close by, and visitors shouldn't leave Addingham without taking a picturesque stroll along the river to the "Strid". Today Addingham is vibrant and thriving local community surrounded by stunning countryside and boasts little shops, fine pubs serving wonderful ales and a rather pleasing golf course.

The cottage was well located in a residential area of addingham which was well placed to travel to Ilkley and the moor, Skipton and the dales and Harrogate and surrounding countryside. All amenities were provided-good cooking facilities, very comfortable living room with large T.V and books and Dvd's provided. Bed was very comfortable King size-warm and cosy and nice bathroom and shower. Parking space in front was convenient. Accommodation clean and very well maintained and homely but providing a place for us to relax and feel at home.. Just right for holiday for two of us.

The week was a disaster weather wise but we were more than satisfied with the cottage. Very clean and everything you could wish for with a very large and comfortable bed. This cottage is an ideal base to explore the surrounding area with a good variety of walks.
