This Crete villa rental near Adele offers a taste of authentic, rural Greek life with the convenience of a larger city nearby. You’ll enjoy basking in the sun by your own private pool, taking in the scenery, or having lunch on the terrace or balcony of this Crete holiday villa. A short drive will take you to the traditional Cretan town of Adele [population under 400] to explore or pick up some baked goods. You can also enjoy the clear, sandy beach at Adele, while a slightly farther drive from this luxury villa in Crete will take you into Rethymnon.
[250 m2] With large balconies on each storey, this gorgeous new villa on three leve...ls has panoramic views in all directions, from the countryside to the village and the sea. Outside you'll have a garden area as well as an unusually-shaped pool [36 m2] with a shallow area for children, surrounded by stone and patio furniture. A stone retaining wall surrounds the property and there is both a barbecue and a clay oven for outdoor cooking. The local property representative will meet you at a prearranged place and guide you to the villa. At that point [or, if your arrival time is late, the following day], the representative will answer any questions and introduce you to the spectacular island of Crete. A representative will also remain available on a 24-hour help line for any further assistance you might need.

First floor: The main entrance to the villa is on the first floor [level with the pool], through a wooden door. You can take the stairs or a ramp, convenient for wheelchairs. Inside you’ll find yourself in a large living room with two couches, a fireplace, and satellite TV, along with sliding doors that open out onto one of the large verandas. Next to the living room is a kitchen, fully equipped with dishwasher, stove, oven, and microwave. Beyond the kitchen is one bedroom with two 75 cm-wide twin beds [narrow beds]. There is also a bathroom on the first floor, with toilet, sink, and shower that easily accommodates wheelchair users.
Second floor: The master bedroom is located on the second floor, with a queen-sized bed [160 cm] and an en suite bathroom featuring a round Jacuzzi tub [three steps up to the tub] as well as sink and toilet. This bedroom also has sliding doors leading out onto the veranda. The next bedroom has a queen-sized bed [160 cm] and an en suite bathroom, this one with a skylight above the tub, allowing you to bathe under the stars. The final bedroom on this floor has two 75 cm-wide twin beds [narrow beds] and an en suite bathroom with toilet, sink, and shower; also with a sliding door leading onto a veranda.
Ground floor: Downstairs you will find one large bedroom with three beds: one 160 cm queen-sized bed and two 75 cm twin beds. This bedroom would be most appropriate for a couple with young children. It has a bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower.
This five-bedroom Greek vacation villa in Crete is 3 km from the tiny village of Adele, where you’ll find historical churches, picturesque houses, and traditional coffee shops. It is located on the road going toward the famous Monastery of Arkadi. Adele is also a great place from which to base your explorations of the island, as it offers convenient access to roads leading to several major destinations. You’ll also want to go into Rethymnon to sample Cretan cuisine and to visit the sixteenth century Venetian Fortezza, the imposing location of the annual Rethymnon Renaissance Festival. If you’re interested in the history of the island you may also want to peek into the Historical and Folk Art Museum for a taste of traditional Cretan ceramics, textiles, artifacts, jewelry, and clothing from across the centuries. Other nearby spots of interest are the Palace of Knossos and the Preveli Palm Beach.
