We invite you to come and stay in one of our luxurious apartments in the most stunning, unspoiled setting you can imagine ! We have 3 independent , private self-contained beachfront apartments available for either short term or longer term . The "Beach-Break studio apartment" sleeps 1-2 people max . The "Seascape 2 Bedroom Apartment "sleep 1-4 people max . And the "Sandy Cove studio apartment " sleeps 1-2 people max . Beach Abode is located in the small sea side village of Ahipara. Ahipara is in the upper north island of New Zealand, on 90 Mile Beach .We are a 5 hour drive north from Auckland International Airport or a 20 minute drive from Kaitaia Airport.
Ahipara is a remote destination; Free from the commercialism that tends to come with tourism. It is a relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere. Most of the year the population base is quite small.
We do not have traffic jams, air pollution and crowed streets. Locals are generous, friendly and open. Villagers are happy to be living in paradise and will welcome you to share in the experience.
Ahipara is ideally suited for a couples getaway, the independent traveler and adventure people alike. Favorite pastimes are beach combing, hiking, swimming, surfing and fishing.

- Deposit to confirm - 0% of rental - Security Deposit - In my response to your enquiry, I will indicate availability and also request a deposit and explain how to securely make a deposit required to confirm a booking.Booking of 6 days or less, we require a deposit equivalent to one night's rate for each apartment booked. Booking of 7 days or more, we require a deposit equivalent to two night's rate for each apartment booked. And bookings that are 3 weeks or more then up to the first 3 nights may be required at that stage . If booking is cancelled 2 weeks or less from the arrival date, the full deposit amount will be forfeited. Bookings cancelled 2 weeks + 1 day or more from arrival date, the deposit will refunded minus 8% of the deposit amount to cover administration cost.During the highest peak season period ( December 21- Jan 04 ) I will require one months notice in order to receive a refund on deposit . I do accept VISA & Master Card . On the Beach Abode Beachfront Lodge website , on the reservation page there is a link to a secure credit card form . Please don’t pay the deposit until you have inquired about availability and have confirmed to you that the apartment or apartments are available for the dates you require .
Additional notes from owner
All services including linen& towels , operational cost , wi-fi internet , dvd's, parking are included in the tariff . There are only two services that are not included and that is if you order breakfast or require a laundry service . Those 2 things are additional . Everything else is inclusive . No hidden cost or taxes

We enjoyed the stunning location right on 90 mile beach which provided beautiful sunset walks and was a great base for exploring Cape Reinga. Our Sandy Cove apartment was compact, comfortable and well appointed. Nearby Gumdiggers Cafe had good sandwiches and coffee to pick up on the way past. Thank you Sue and Ned for your warm welcome and helpful advice.

Ahipara is a place facing the Tasman sea, on the west coast of New Zealand, a township on the cusp of ninety mile beach, a lip of headland before a seemingly endless expanse of coastline begins. Imagine a ruggedly beautiful place, where the quiet and solitude allow the unwind from a busy mind and frantic world pace.
Hosts Susan and Ned Pyne and their dog Mango get it right. They are friendly and warm while respecting your privacy - a fine balance.
Here are people who respect the environment and the fragility and beauty of the ecosystem around them and their sense of responsibility and love for the place is evident and admirable.
This eco-responsibility and care has informed the way Beachfront abode is set up, with all the requirements you need for self catering, sustainably.
