The view is breath taking!
I loved watching the humming birds on the deck. The best part was watching a bald eagle take a fish from the lake, right in front of us from your porch. We loved walking to the springs they are so close. I left feeling stress free and relaxed... it was beautiful. I will definatly be back!

Due to the very reasonable price, I was unsure what to expect, but upon arrival, we were quite surprised at how homey, quaint and just generally livable the space was. The proximity to the hot springs was great, as we were just able to walk to the pool. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. We were treated to a full moon rising over the mountains across the lake, and just sat on the deck and enjoyed it and the reflection it cast on the water. All in all very nice.
Great place to stay
We thoroughly enjoyed the sunset suite. Reasonably priced for the accommodation provided. Nice having the Hot Springs so close.

Great place and stay
Everything you need for a stay short or long. Clean and great for the hot springs.
We opened the door of the condo and found a vacation!
This has to be one of the best places we have stayed at. We stayed in the upstairs unit. It was clean, bright, sunny and spacious. Everything you need is there! The deck is unreal you can see both up and down the lake. The beach below the condo is great. The water is clean its easy to access and privacy is a non issue. The location is outstanding you can visit the entire area on day trips ie New Denver, Nelson ,Kaslo the hot Spring etc. We will be back again and again. Thanks guys Peter and Teresa

spectacular views and water
Small cozy condo with everything you need for a beautiful getaway. Do bring your own foods as they have a barbecue, nice sized fridge but no services or stores without a 20 60 min drive, or use dining room across the street at the hot springs resort. Love the solitude and peace, will be even better after the new stairway access to the lake side beach area is completed.
Always first rate
We recently spent the last couple of days in the Sunset Suite and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. This was our second visit to your comfortable accommodation. The snow capped mountain views from the sunny back deck were amazing. It's so convenient to walk across the street to the hot springs. We certainly will return for our spring vacation next year.

Coeur D Alene
We were familiar with the location of this home when it was a fabulous snack stand across the road from the ainsworth Resort. We knew this waterfront home had a great location, but we were blown away by the beauty of the water, mountains and view, view, view afforded from this wonderland!! Our much needed respite turned into paradise the second we walked across both condos thresholds. Beautifully decorated, impeccably clean and offering all amenities from a to Z, 3 days and 2 nights was not long enough. It was nice to have plenty of space to spread out vs. staying in a cramped room at the resort across the road. Knowing the place was already rented for days moving forward, we would have readily called the owners to ask to rent the house for additional days. All details were covered to make our stay complete. The location from the Hot Springs Resort made it primo in our minds. The price was right compared to the resort. We would have appreciated having a washer and dryer available (perhaps for addtl. cost). Only drawbacks was the occasional road traffic noise and the overwhelming malodorous stench of the septic drainage field located at the bottom of the beach located off the Kutenai deck. We will definitely return in the near future. Read more
Response from Kaayla Lea - 04/07/2014
In a few weeks I am having the septic buried so that there will be no smell when the laundry upstairs is happening. I am sorry you had to experience that but fortunately it doesn't happen often and is short lived. All septics are buried but it means taking off the lower deck and enlarging it as well. Also the stairs leading to the lake will be completed at the same time
This property was a great value. It was nice to be so close to the hot springs as well. Absolute wonderful view. May be a challenge for older people but great for couples or small family's.
Coeur d Alene
This condo has beautiful views of the lake and is conveniently located across the street from the hot springs. Well stocked for the most part except make sure you bring your own napkins and BBQ tongs!
Home away from Home
The ainsworth Guest House was a great rental until right across the highway from the hot springs, with a breathtaking view. The house is very comfortable with a very comfortable platform bed (and an extra single and fold-out bed). The kitchen has all the basic amenities. Although the house is right on the highway, no traffic could be heard from the lower unit. Note that the bathroom only has a hand shower. Read more
Response from Kaayla Lea - 03/29/2014
Also there is very little traffic outside and almost no traffic at night.
Lovely little lake house
We enjoyed our stay at the Sunset condo. The condo is well equipped, clean and very tastefully decorated. Our only complaints would be that the bed in the back bedroom was like sleeping in a hammock (way too soft!) and that you could really hear the traffic noise in that room. Although the old window in that bedroom is lovely, it does not block the noise enough. Also, it would be nice if the red 'vacancy' light outside the window could be turned off at night. We did love the lake view and location - would love to return in warmer weather! Read more
Response from Kaayla Lea - 03/29/2014
There is a little chain beside the vacancy light that will turn off the sign.
Nothing else needed
About anything that we need and thought might not be there was - coffee, and really good coffee and all of those basics ingredients needed for cooking and utensils more then enough.
Great view and very nice inside. our only concern which I never read in the little book was the floor wasn't level and it was always on our minds - is this going to slide down the cliff. I would guess it wouldn't be too difficult to level it at some poing.

This is an amazing stay and quite reasonable so nicely decorated
Everything you want is included in this stay :it's clean, well decorated, comfortable, cozy and has an amazing view. Even the beds and pillows are comfortable, plus it's across from the hot springs and within fifteen minutes from shops and places to visit. I found nothing not to like which is unusual for me to say. It might be hot in the summer.
Surprisingly elegant and comfortable
We stayed at the sunset condo with twin 1.5yr olds, a father-in-law and my husband and I. I was pleasantly surprised that the space was absolutely perfect for us. It may have been easier to stay at the hot springs, but it was much less expensive here at the guest house, and I would bet that the accomodations were much nicer than at the hotel. The beds were probably the best any of us have ever slept in while travelling, and the entire condo was pleasant and well appointed. Would certainly stay here again! The only down side was that the smoking guests in the downstairs unit made using the deck for us unpleasant, as the smoke just rises up into the upper unit deck. Also, the road noise in the bedroom adjacent to the road is a bit loud. But we loved it and are very thankful to have found accommodation there. Thanks so much!
Amazing view, romantic setting, excellent proximity to the hot s
We stayed in the Kutenai suite for 2 nights and enjoyed every minute. Was such a relaxing view of the Kootenay lake off the private deck. The hot springs are right across the street and the condo is well equipped for all of your basic needs. Having a nice bbq and wood stove were also bonuses. Will stay again!
Overall a great experience, but...
Overall a great experience. Great view, great location (if you're going to the hot springs) and great place to stay.
The parking situation is not favourable for families with medium to large vehicles. Unless you are driving a smart car, you better work out a deal with the resort across the street, or hope you are the only one staying the night.
We arrived a day after a large dump of snow and were disappointed to find that nothing was shovelled. A matter of customer safety?
Lots of cobwebs. Looked like Halloween came early Read more
Response from Kaayla Lea - 03/08/2014
Re: the parking situation. It was such a large dump of snow that the Ainsworth people who look after the Guest House were worn out with their own property and the snow was removed the following day. We do have trucks and campers park in front and there is always room for at least 2 vehicles. I usually get comments on how clean the apartments are and will check with the cleaning staff about cob webs.
East Kootenays to the West Kootenays.....
Excellent!! Kootenai suite...
This is our new favorite winter/spring/summer/fall retreat! We stayed in the lower suite, absolutely amazing views of the lake, I liked that the overhang from the upper suite was not in the way at all. The furnishings are so comfortable and elegant, everything was so clean, and you could tell that the details were creatively arranged and thought about. Handy to the Hot Springs if we wanted to, but we enjoyed just being right where we were. We felt spoiled, and enjoyed every minute.!
Thank you very much Kaayla and Joy, we will be back!

Much better than a hotel!
Great little place with a spectacular lake view! Nice and clean and very comfortable. We were staying for the weekend for a hockey tournament and we usually stay in hotels, but this turned out to be a much better option. You have your own space, eat homemade meals, and feel much more home-like than a hotel room. Not no mention it's a good deal for the money as well. Would stay there again for sure.
A beautiful and restful place!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Guest House. We stayed in the Kutenai suite and it was so lovely. The suite was furnished beautifully with a well stocked kitchen, and the view was amazing. The owners were very kind and obviously care a lot about their property, which was evident from the moment we walked in the door. I would highly recommend the ainsworth Guest House. We are already planning our next visit!
A small note to other guests: The bed and bath tub are elevated. It was a unique feature for us but may not work well for everyone.
Thank you for a pleasant stay. We will definitely be returning and telling all of our friends and family.

A very enjoyable stay!
This was my second time staying at this condo and found it to be excellent both times. We really enjoyed the location being mere steps from the hot springs and a short drive in either direction to amenities. It has a beautiful view of the lake and is well suited for all kinds of vacations. The staff were excellent to deal with and were very accommodating.

Great stay once again!
Just returned from a wonderful relaxing weekend at the Sunset Condo. We were 4 adults and we were very comfortable staying in this well-equipped "home away from home." It is by far the best option for us on our annual winter trip to the hot springs. The attention to detail and creature comforts here are commendable. We love lounging at the hot springs just across the street and then strolling back to our private charming abode for a glass of wine and a gorgeous view of the lake and mountains. It doesn't get much better than this! Looking forward to next year's trip.
Full of Charm
The lower suite served as a writers' solo retreat sanctuary, tucked away on a hill leading down to the beach, and also a few steps away from the Hotsprings. The decor exuded an simple yet luxurious organic feel, and a crackling wood fire in the evenings rendered this haven a home for the soul. You won't want to miss this one!
clean, tasteful, great views
We enjoyed our stay in the Sunset Suite, the kitchen was very well-equipped, everything is very clean and tasteful (not too twee!), the bed was super comfy. Only drawbacks for me were lack of opening windows near the bed, and some road noise in the morning. Next time we'll try the lower suite which I think would be quieter. Best option in ainsworth! Great to be able to walk across the road to the hot spring. We'll be back. Read more

There is an opening window when you sleep in the bed that overlooks the water. It needs to be opened from the deck side and also has a screen.

Gosh I think this just might of been my 20th time or more staying at the Guest house. Again spotlessly clean, warm, comfortable, and just as amazing as the first time we stayed there, such a treasure! Thank you Kaayla and Joy for providing a home away from home for travelers to enjoy! Nice place close to hot springs
Missing a cookie sheet, but had everything else we needed. Close to hotsprings..
Perfect alternative to the hot springs hotel
Our family of four stayed here for one night over the Christmas holidays as a getaway treat for ourselves. The suite was spotless and well-appointed, with raised bathtub and bed, full kitchen with top-end refrigerator, comfortable furniture, attractive decorations and efficient wood stove. There was even a modest pantry with things like maple syrup. The view was of course grand, and the covered balcony provided a perfect vantage to sip coffee and unwind. The walk across the street to the hot springs and restaurant was barely shorter than the same walk from some of the rooms in the hotel. We had a great time in both locations.
Our only quibbles:
No soap. There was a bottle of shampoo but no one could find any soap. Perhaps an oversight?
Pathetic internet bandwidth. The wifi tested out at 0.1 megabits per second, which is about dial-up speeds. This may be out of the owners's control, but expect to rely on cellular data for your internet needs. We did.
There is a metal shelf by the fridge that is at risk of collapse, due to lack of bracing. This really should be fixed. Read more

comfort suite and beautiful lake view
The suite was very comfortable and view was gorgeous. Good location, We arrived in the ainsworth hotspring only 3minutes walk. Only little uncomfortable thing that we could not make coffee because the coffee maker and kettle were not clean condition.
Pleasant stay, beautiful views and directly across from the hot
Our stay was very enjoyable with all amenities provided. We were bringing family from the area but they we're sick so we were able to rebook to the next evening.
Thanks for providing coffee as I forget mine and thought I may have to go across the street to purchase at the restaurant!
Perfect Family Vacation Spot in ainsworth Hot Springs
We will be back!
Way better value than the other accomodations available in ainsworth. Beautiful lake view and right across the street from the hot springs. Beds were comfy, Kitchen was well stocked. There are not a lot of dinning options in the immediate vicinity of ainsworth, so being able to cook our own food was a huge plus. Was like a home away from home.

wow! We booked the lower suite for 2 nights and did not want to leave!!! What a wonderful little place. Quiet, private, beautiful, cozy, and convenient!!! The kitchen has everything you need to cook for yourself, the fireplace kept us nice a cozy (it was -22 outside burrr) and the lake is beautiful to wake up to. Way cheaper than a hotel, and in my opinion it does not compare. You get a little home away from home :) The suite was very clean, the bed was comfy, it was very charming!! I would, and have recommended this to everyone!! You will not be disappointed!!! The Hot Springs are a 1 min walk accross the street...awesome! Thanks Kaayla for offering such a lovely little place!!! We will be back again very soon :)
Amazing place for a great price!
We stayed in the sunset suite for one night for our anniversary . We were greatly surprise with the condo . Great feel to it , very comfortable and it had all the little things you need ! We will defiantly return time an time again . Thanks you !
Wonderful place to stay. Great people to deal with. Would highly recommend to everyone.
Awesome compact and everything at your fingertips
Very clean and cozy, kitchen well equipped will be back in the spring
Cute Place with Great View
While the house wasn't perfect for our needs (we were 4 women playing cards and the house had 3 beds and 2 chairs at the tiny table), it was clean and well appointed. My only suggestion would be to keep the porch light on so we can see to get in, and put a light above the barbecue so we could see to cook!
Another amazing stay
Were already counting down the days until we can come back. The place is so cozy you'll want to stay forever. The beds and bedding are so comfortable and the whole place is a dream. Were so lucky to have found this little gem.

October 2013 Trip
Arrived late, but very pleased to see the condo was exactly as described and everything in working order. The book on the coffee table was very helpful.
We had a relaxing glass of wine in the lounge at the resort and brought a very tasty meal back to the condo for dinner.
Best bathtub ever! I had 2 sisters with me and we all enjoyed our baths that night, especially since we had to postpone the hot springs till the next day.
Would definitely come back, and recommend staying 3-4 days at least - one did not give us enough time to appreciate all the area has to offer.
The sunrise guesthouse had a great view. And all needed amenities.. Plus a little extra. It was really nice because it was so close to the Hot Springs caves.
We enjoyed our stay and will hopefully be back again.

Great Value - Wonderful Location
Had a great time renting the lower one bedroom appartment. With the location being right on the beach across from the hot springs you couldn't ask for a better location. Definately will be returning.
A clean, cozy, relaxing vacation with a fabulous view of lake.
Four women from bridal party were comfy & slept great, had a wonderful time getting to know each other. Enjoyed sharing meals in well equipped kitchen & warmth of wood stove. Across street and walking distance from ainsworth hot springs, bit of a hill for those that have mobility issues & lower condo has a few stairs. Top condo is street level from what I saw.
Always a pleasure to stay here
This was our second stay at this nice little guest house. It is well kept and always clean, everything you need is there, bed is nice and comfy!
Beautiful view and just a walk from the hot pools!
We have wonderful time!!
A very nice place to stay. The condo is clean, neat, great view and fully loaded. We lived in the sunset condo, 2 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom, 2 queen size beds and 1 sofa bed could fit 2 little kids.
We loved that place, so sad we were only there for 3 nights, should book for a longer holiday.

Amazing view of the lake from lovely furnished suite in historic
This darling, lovely furnished guest house had a perfectly wonderful lake view, well-appointed kitchen, some fascinating architectural touches and history besides. At least, history for me as my great-grandparents' house used to be two doors away. They lived in ainsworth from abt 1890 - 1920-something. I wanted their view and to try to imagine what life was like for them. It couldn't have been as comfortable as it was for us in the guest house, though. I recommend you stay there. You'll love it. Quiet and so serene, we were really sad to leave.
Very relaxing, quiet and a great place to unwind
The Sunset condo is very nice with plenty of room and all the amenities you require. Great balcony/deck to sit and enjoy the lake view in the evening. Would definitely stay again.
Spokane Valley WA
Spectacular view. Right across the street from ainsworth Hotsprings. Not the best accommodations for someone with hip, back or knee problems. Have to get into bed using a stool, as it is about 4 feet off of the floor. Have to climb for steps up in to a very small bath tub with no shower. Be sure to wash any dishes/pots or pains you use as they were dirty. Some highway noise. Check in time was suppose to be 2:00pm, got there at 2:20pm and was told by the housekeeper it was not until 3:00pm. She was pretty rude. Overall very relaxing. Take the road trip to Trout Lake, absolutely beautiful.
Entering the lower Kutenai Suite, we were greeted with a spacious, bright, tastefully decorated and well equipped vacation retreat. The balcony overlooking the beach and beautiful Kootenay Lake had a propane bbq and a table with chairs. Here we enjoyed the early morning sunrise drinking coffee made from the fresh coffee beans we found in the kitchen cupboard. The ainsworth Hot Springs and Caves were so convenient, just across the road. We couldn't find paper towels or napkins but we didn't look very hard; I am sure they were somewhere. We will be back. Response from Kaayla Lea - 09/19/2013
Thanks Marion. Will check on those paper towels. We may be out.
Clean, modern, cozy, and reasonable!
We booked here for one night as a last minute stay passing through the area and our only disappointment was that we couldn't stay longer. The guesthouse has an amazing deck overlooking the lake, and panoramic views from the bedroom, living room, and kitchen with floor to ceiling windows. Though it was right on the highway, we heard no road noise inside. Great little touches like pancake mix and syrup included in the fully equipped kitchen. We strongly recommend, and will be back!

Our annual One Week Stay at the ainsworth Guest House
This is I believe the 5th consecutive year that we have stayed at the Guest House. It really works for us because we stay for a full week. We've been coming to the ainsworth area for about 40 years, staying at different places and the Guest House is our spot! We love the full kitchen because we do all of our cooking, not to mention having access to the barbecue. We like the privacy, abundance of room, deck overlooking the lake, wi-fi and the close proximity to the Hot Springs since we go in twice per day. It's nice that staples are provided such as coffee, coffee beans, sugar, oil, vinegar, etc. And, there is a hair dryer and plenty of towels, although we bring our beach towels to take to the Hot Springs. Every year there are improvements! This year it looked as though the main living areas had been freshly painted, and fabulous new deck furniture and a new door lock added. The thing that I like best is that it seems like a "home away from home" at an affordable price. I have only two concerns. The first is that because we cook so much, it would be helpful to have additional bowls for food preparation and serving. The other is that the bed in the main room should be updated. Maybe get a higher frame so that it can be properly cleaned underneath (it was a bit dusty in the bed area), a new mattress that offers good support and new sheets and a mattress cover that have the required elasticity to stay in place. One other thing that we had a problem with was the barbecue. It had sufficient fuel, but wouldn't provide a high flame. Maybe if the housekeeper could check this periodically, it could be monitored. We will be booking for next summer! Read more
Response from Kaayla Lea - 09/09/2013
Donna I am putting in a new bed, with a higher bed frame as well as a new mattress cover. There are 8 bowls but will add more. Also, will check the BBQ. Thanks for letting me know.
Could not dream of a better view
Great place to stay. Loved the view. Would definitely stay there again.
Nice view good location
I really liked the view and having a bbq. I enjoyed the bedding and comfort of the bed. The kitchen was adequate and we were so happy to find some pancake mix provided on our first morning as we had forgotten our milk for cereal. However we were disappointed because the smell from the bathroom was pretty bad. Maybe the septic tanks needed emptying while we were there? There were little flies coming out of the sink drain as well. It put a damper on our enthusiasm for sure... Read more

Joan, I am so sorry you had this experience. I stayed there myself a short time ago and did not have any of what you experienced. The cleaning person is very good. I will definitely check into it and make sure it never happens again.
Great location, condo and price. overall outstanding
San Carlos, CA
I've been coming up to ainsworth my entire life but have not stayed at the guest house until now. It was absolutely wonderful. It is definitely the best accommodations in the area within walking distance to the hot springs. I plan on staying there every time I go up there in the future. I almost didn't want to rate this since we'd like to keep it a secret!
Beautiful View, Wonderfully Equipped, A Gem
Very spacious suite with an excellent kitchen with everything you might need. Good beds. Good linens. Real high speed internet not the usual snail-like version.
And the view? Worth a million dollars.
Home away From Home in ainsworth Hot Springs, BC
My husband and I spent our honeymoon at the ainsworth Hot Springs Guest House, which was like a home away from home. The place was very clean, comfortable, and cozy, not to mention it has a wonderful view of Kootenay Lake. We enjoyed looking at the water and mountains from the balcony, and it was a great plus to be right across the street from the ainsworth Hot Springs pools, which we visited more than once. My one critique would be the lack of an air conditioner when the weather really warms up, but otherwise, it's a place I would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in the Nelson-Ainsworth-Kaslo area.
Our experience was very relaxing, perfect get-a-way spot
The home was very clean, felt like home. It was an unexpected delight to have fresh coffee beans provided. It was a pleasure to arrive and have everything we needed provided. I thought it would be noisy from traffic(due to the location )but it was not. It was serene and quiet and we will be back. We had a lovely experience. Loved the view!
Previous reviews already mention it all - this condo is perfect !
We only stayed for one night, but we will come back for longer !
Condo is very good deal and the hot spring was amazing.
The price of the condo is a bargain and the stay was really good and clean. The hot spring was also very enjoyable.
A lucky find!
We had found this little gem on the internet when looking for accomodations in ainsworth. The unit has everything you need to plant your self for a few days. It was very inviting, warm, beds were comfortable, and kitchen was set up so we could cook meals in which we appreciated. An issue with the the satelite was resolved the next day. Its really just a quick walk across the road to the hot springs. The view lakeside is beautiful. Would recommend staying here.
Newport, Washington USA
We were expecting a condo, it is a 2 story home converted to two appartments. The home is well decorated, the bed is comfortable. The seating furnature is very uncomfortable. The fire place is a wood stove that you have to buy wood to use. The beach access doesn't exist. There is no off street parking. The music from the party in the house next door could be heard in the house. Read more
Response from Kaayla Lea - 06/16/2013
I'm so disappointed Jim that you were disappointed. The community hall next to us is not often used but it must have been a rare occasion to have heard music in the suite. It is usually very quiet. I recently spent $650.00 on a sofa that glides and thought it extremely comfortable as well. Also, I think the sofas are comfortable but will keep this in mind when purchasing furniture in the future. I am in the process of building steps to the lake but there are ways to get there as the information provided says. I think the parking in front is very convenient and safe for guests to park their vehicles. So am surprised that you don't find it so. In the U.S. a suite is a room and a bathroom so I can't call it a :suite". "Apartment" is not a word that people usually look under. "Condo" is. I'm sorry if it wasn't what you expected. I do my best to not mislead anyone.
Modern, clean, comfortable and a great view to wake up to in the morning. Hope to return soon!!
Attention to detail very good, timely. Home was basic but comfortable. Location great, road noise not ideal (was not aware of main highway right on door step.
Ainsworth Hot Springs
comfortable and cozy
Positive - a lovely cottage-like atmosphere and surroundings
- extremely clean
- complete kitchen, gadgets, appliances, etc.
- beautiful view of the lake
- quiet, no traffic noise
- the gal in charge went out of her way to help us with our luggage, and to try to get the t.v fixed.
Negative - the bed was much too high and awkward for those of us who have to get up in the night
- t.v. didn't work
- lots of stairs, our car wasn't easily accessible
- the tub was also very high, not designed for seniors
all in all, it would be ideal for a young family or couple who wanted to stay for a longer period of time, i.e. not having to move stuff in and out every day.
As peaceful and relaxing as you can be
Ainsworth Springs was one of the most recommended place to stay, and enjoy the beautiful view of the lake. Not to mention about the natural hot springs that everyone will enjoy. It's a good choice for the resort to be located just above the lake, whuich gives traverlers and families a great view of the landscape. The ainsworth condor provides almost everything you needed, including glassware, comfy beds, television, etc...
Everyday it was be as peaceful as the last day you have been in ainsworth, as you listen to the waves pounding against the shore. So, it's for people for every age, and everyone.
Excellent location, right across from the hot springs. Very relaxing settings. Full kitchen and supplies made our trip much more enjoyable. Read more

The home and a very nice feel to it and we loved the view of the lake which you can easily see unobstructed from the living area and one of the bedrooms. The condo had plenty of space for the 3 of us and a dog. It is very well equipped with lots of thoughtful touches to help you enjoy your stay. It's an excellent base to visit Kaslo, Nelson, several hiking areas and the ainsworth hot springs just across the road. The parking is convenient right outside the door, although is on the main road. We found the seating arrangements a little bit awkward for the 3 of us to watch the TV together and eat together. Excellent value for money.
Our stay was absolutely amazing! The condo was clean and comferatble, everything we needed was there, and the view was spectacular. Read more

Thanks Ben, Glad you enjoyed your stay.
I wish we would have known about this place sooner. The guesthouse blew our expectations away. Clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. Big kitchen, comfortable beds... Not to mention the amazing view. Our intentions were to go to the hot springs everyday but the place was so beautiful we just hung out there mostly! Read more

Thanks so much Brittany. The pillows came from Ikea, to answer your question.
Escapeism at its finest!
Lovely spot for time away.
Good price for all the comforts and
a beautiful view! Great proximity to the
Hotsprings & surrounding area. Save money
By having the option to make your own
Meals. Clean & very comfortable!
We've been twice & will be back :)
Could not have been a more pleasurable stay.
This was our second relaxing stay in the ainsworth Guest House's top unit. Every possible thing a person could want is thoughtfully included on the premises. It rained most of the time we were there but we didn't care as we snuggled up to watch movies on the big screen television. The complete and full-sized kitchen made meal preparations fun for the family. Our grandson loved having his own private bedroom, sitting area, and bathroom. We walked across the street to enjoy the hot springs. Perfect! We';ll be back for a third stay next year and look forward to it. Thank you you Kaayla. Read more

Thanks Dean for such a psitive review. I'm happy you are happy.
Lovely view, very clean unit. Pets okay which is great. Only one problem is we could not find the linens for the couch bed. Read more

Patricia, I'm sorry you couldn't find the linens. There is a welcoming card which is placed in front of the sofa on the coffee table which tells you where the linens for the couch bed are. In the future I will ask the cleaning lady to put the linens out when we know that someone will be using the sofa bed so that will not be a problem and hope you will come again.
Total relaxation, peaceful.
Accomodation was easy to access with flipkey, nice.Condo had everything you need to cook, verandah and windows gave expansive views of lake, comfortable sleep, woodstove a bonus - local,Cliff delivered firewood and chatted away to the attention of 5 women! The access to hotsprings was a 3min. walk across the road, perfect.
A delightful stay, will definitely be back as also affordable.
Suggest a crib board and splatter lid for cooking bacon.
I would most definetly stay there again!
We absolutely loved it! It was in the best possible location, right across from the hot springs and with a very nice view in front of the lake.
The service was very good, with booklet on the table for things to do, dining preferences, etc.
The suite was very clean and organized, it was paradise!
We stayed 2 nights at the Sunrise Condo, had a fabulous time and would keep this in mind for future trips.
Love this place.
The suite is well appointed and beautiful. The view of the lake is second to none, and we love the ability to sit and drink coffee looking at the view.
The kitchen is well stocked, and it's very easy to bring your own food and cook for yourself. The BBQ works great...along with everything else! Fully stocked kitchen is very convenient since there's always something we forget...but not to worry, it's there.
The unit is directly across the road from the hot springs, and is a much better value than staying at the hotel itself. We also love the fact that our dog can come with us, and he loves going for walks on the beach.
The beds are comfortable, and there's plenty of towels, sheets, and blankets for everyone.
The hot springs themselves are awesome, and are my favorite in B.C. The cave is wonderfully unique, and there's a large variety of water temperatures to enjoy.
The hotel restaurant across the road has many gluten free options, and the food is excellent.
All in all, no complaints with anything. We've been here before, and we will come here again. Try it out, it's great!
Awesome Romantic Weekend
Due to schedules, we had to have an early Valentine's weekend. This worked out perfectly for us as the Guest House was available. What a great place to get away! We loved being able to walk across the street to our favourite hot springs. We also loved that the kitchen was fully functional and we were able to cook our steaks on the bbq. The view is spectacular from almost anywhere in the suite. We highly recommend the Guest House to everyone. We will definitely be back. Thank you!!!
The apartment is very nice, with all you need! It's very close to the Hot Springs. The apartment is close to the road, but there is no noise as there is not a lot of traffic. You can visit Kaslo and Nelson, and the ferry trip was great!
It's definitely a place to go in summer or in winter!

Wonderful cozy atmosphere!
Check-in was simple and convenient. We were surprised at how much space we had once we arrived and the view was exceptional. The unit was well designed and the ambiance was very comfortable...more like a personal cabin than a motel/hotel. Everything we needed was thoughtfully included. We were able to economize by cooking some of our meals in a kitchen that had all the tools we needed. The Resort right across the road was less than a 2 minute walk. You could not be closer unless staying in the Resort/Hotel itself.
Our 17 year old daughter was effusive in commenting that it was one of the nicest hotel experiences she'd ever had. If we had known in advance what we were getting we would have booked longer. It was difficult to leave. We will definitely return unless this review drives the price beyond our budget. At the moment, this is a great value. Thank-you to the management!
We loved the Sunset Suite. It was clean, decorated tastefully, had everything we needed and was conveniently located right next to the lake and across the road from the hot springs.
I have stayed at the guest house going on five years now and look forward to going back each and every time! Clean, comfortable, and view is just breathtaking. Kaayla and joy are just amazing hosts!
Kaayla the cabin was wonderful !

No, we don't have a boat dock, but Jones Boys Boats is a mere 3 minute drive North and you can launch your boat there. I look forward to hearing from you in May!

A most pleasant and memorable winter experience!
It was the perfect place to celebrate our daughter's birthday. Great view and great location! Just a dash across to the Hot Springs.
Place was tastefully decorated and kitchen had the basics that we needed. The rented both the upper and lower units for the occasion. We had forgotten a camera and owner/manager were extremely helful in returning item to us in the mail. Would return again!

we will keep this one on our list...
they switched us to the lower smaller unit, It was very clean and well decorated. You know they put a lot of effort into the design and function...nice appliances, well stocked with dishes and cozy comforters. The bed could be a challenge for an older person.(very tall) The view and location across from the hot springs is great. The only draw back is the odor from the treatment plant next door.
was very clean and welcoming..beds were comfortable..
delightful in every way!
We came to ainsworth for a 'girls getaway' and to visit the Hot Springs. The condo offered everything we wanted. Lots of room, privcy and beautifully decorated with views to die for. The views of the lake were delightful. The kitchens were so complete, everything you'd need to cook all meals.
We were a group of three and rented both condo, so everyonne had their own bedroom and bathroom - a must for ladies.
Aside from going to the hotsprings, we never left the condos.
I would certainly rent these condo's again - if fact, we'll be returning next year for our annual girl's getaway.
This place is fabulous and serene. Definitely our favorite decompression destination within driving distance of Spokane, Wa.
The suite above can get quite noisy at times-perhaps a sign in that suite urging regard for neighbors below would help.
What a beautiful place!
Bright, sunny and beautiful. This place had everything we needed for a wonderful night away. It was great!
Beautiful, comfortable. Everything you would want in a getaway.
Rejuvinating, captivating views, comfort at its finest
Didnt want to leave, will be back again and again and again

Superb, clean and comfortable.
This was our 2nd stay and both units are excellent. We will be back many more times for sure.
Scenery pleasing to the senses, restful and beautiful.
My partner and I really enjoyed staying at ainsworth Guest House.
The suites have all the conveniences of home. The suite has a wonderful view of the lake and is very quiet and peaceful. It has large windows to enjoy the view from inside as well as from the deck.
The hotspring is just a moments walk away.
Nelson and Kaslo BC offer some nice excursions not far from the guesthouse.
We have stayed at the Guest House twice now and would have to say it is one of our favourites. Home away from home, Ainsworth Springs Guest House has it all. What a beautiful spot!
We went to ainsworth for a memorial service that was held in the ainsworth Community Hall. The hall was next door to our surprise as Google maps have the guest house as the Mermaid Lodge and Inn(which is beside the Resort). This is a great location as it is across the road from the Hot Springs Resort(less than 1 minute walk). The Sunset Suite, on the main floor, had been remodeled, very clean, full kitchen, full bathroom, ensuite in the bedroom and sleeping for 6. This was the perfect spot for us.
Totally Satisfying and Impresive
Considering the location and surroundings ainsworth Springs Guest House was shocking luxury in decor, space and plenteous in kitchen supplies and the linens. The view of the lake was fabulous with no street noise. Very very nice and convenient and for us very economical because of the kitchen. Our stay was too short to have found any dislikes. For those with mobility problems, to safely drive from the condo parking to the hot spring site is difficult without going all the way to Woodbury to turn around.
