McKinney, TexasGreat apartment, very hard to find
Left on 10/02/2012 for a stay in September 2012
We stayed in a 2-bedroom apartment with friends. The apartment was very nice, clean and in a quiet area. We had a very difficult time finding it even with directions from the rental agent. The apartment is located in a very rural (2 miles from a main road) hilly area on a 1-1/2 lane road. But, after the first time, we were able to negotiate the road with few issues. The apartment is part of a 4 building complex with a pool, etc. Two small issues, on day one, the rental agent gave us the keys and about 20 sheets of toilet paper to use--yes 20 sheets among 4 people. Also, there were 2 bars of soap (small like the hotel size you get for a one night stay). So, you have to find a grocery store and buy essentials. A small thing that the owner could fix immediately, but chooses to not fix it. Again a small thing, was getting ice. There was one ice tray that made six cubes. Not enough for 4 people to have a drink before dinner. Upon booking, the agent required a bank draft for the deposit. This goes against the recommendations of Tripadvisor, and caused me great concern. In the end, it all worked out alright. Also, we had to put a security deposit of 500 Euros, which in itself is not an issue, but the rental agent required the deposit is cash. So we had to hustle up and find an aTM to get the cash. Then you are left with 500 Euros in cash when you check out and if you are leaving Europe, you have all the excess Euros that you have to exchange for dollars, resulting in big time exchange fees.
All in all, the apartment is a good place to stay if you do not let the small issues cloud your stay.Response from SAS LES QUATRE RUISSEAUX - 11/15/2012

Good morning and thank you for take time to let a review on trip advisor.
For the deposit , it was because we had a problem with the credit machine this week.
But it was written in the rental contract you have signed.
I'm very surprise you don't have enough paper toilet, because there is one in the bath room , and one in the box I give you on your arrival....
The apartment is furnished, but we don't provide all you need for one week.( only for the first day)
Some guest asked me to go shopping for them, and I do it .
I'm happy you appreciate your stay there, and be sure I note your comments for future guests.
I hope to welcome you another time,
Kind regards,

AdelaideBeautiful apartment - would recommend it"
Left on 09/26/2012 for a stay in August 2012
We stayed in a one bedroom apartment in early august. It was very hot, but we had air conditioning (rare in France) a pool, and a beautiful garden. So no problems. We loved the apartment and the facilities. We live in a similar area at home, in the hills just outside the city. However, we found the road a little narrow and dangerous, especially if one met with an inconsiderate driver. Love France, but sorry, there are a lot of drivers like that. Also, it was not 5 minutes from aix. It was 5 minutes to the main road to go into aix. Minor criticisms. I would still highly recommend the apartments.

Dublin, IrelandExcellent value, quality accomodation
Left on 08/03/2012 for a stay in July 2012
Located just 3kms from the centre of aix-en-Provence and less than a 30 minute drive from Marseilles airport Les Quartre Ruisseaux is the perfect base for exploring this wonderful area. In a rural setting but not isolated, the house is perched on a hill overlooking aix-en-Provence. It's primarily a residential area, with a cluster of houses sitting on individual large plots. The house is well maintained, beautifully furnished and spacious with all the necessary mod-cons to hand. There is lots of storage space so it's easy to keep the apartment tidy. The pool is super, and the area around it big enough to accommodate all the guests in the event that they decided to spend their day by the pool (never happened while we were there). Towels were supplied for the pool which was a nice touch. It was so easy to access shops, local attractions and aix by car and the roads were relatively traffic free. There was great opportunity for hill walking and cycling around Sainte Victoire, however, during our stay the weather was very hot so forest fire warnings prevented us from accessing all the tracks. We would definitely book this property again. The handover was efficient and overall it was great value for money.

Amersfoort, The NetherlandsA stylish apartment just outside aix en Provence
Left on 07/31/2012 for a stay in July 2012
If you travel by car this apartment at just 10 minutes drive from the center of aix en Provence is a good option.
It is a newly built gated vacation rental. At the time of our visit the apartment was in an impeccable condition and there is already a nice garden growing at the back side of the building giving a green view from the balcony. There is also a pool with sun loungers for the complex and most of times when we wanted to use it there was no one else there. Of course, choosing a modern building means giving up on the charm many typical stays in Provence have. This apartment is, no doubt, a stylish and a very practical option for a fair price. If you,
however, look for the original touch of Provence, it’s better found in one of those traditional chambre d’hotes.
We had the T2 apartment on the first floor which is, first of all, far bigger than it looks in the photos on the website. Two people live easily even a longer stretch in the spacious apartment with a separate bedroom, living room, bathroom and kitchen. The interior is tastefully done with shades of gray and nice furniture. The kitchen has a Nespresso coffee machine (thank you!), a dishwasher, all basic cooking equipment and cutlery & pottery & glassware for four.
We got a kit with some Nespresso coffee capsules, tea, diswasher tablets etc. at arrival – a nice touch. They also provide beach towels.
An advantage of the first floor apartment is that you get the longest possible sun time on your balcony and enjoy a beautiful sunset in the evenings. Because of this it would have been nice to have just two light chairs and a tiny table on the balcony – now we dragged the kitchen chairs out there.
A small hiccup we had was that the water flow just halted a few times in the middle of a shower or washing hands. It returned within minutes, so no biggie, and it’s probably just a kind of thing a new building can have.
All in all, the chic aix en Provence is a wonderful city with beautiful city center, abundance of restaurants and outdoor terraces and an amazing shopping scene (put on your stylish pair of shoes, though). If staying in aix, Rousseaux provides you a roomier stay than a city hotel with a semi-private pool area.Response from SAS LES QUATRE RUISSEAUX - 08/13/2012

LondonFab place to stay
Left on 12/07/2011 for a stay in September 2011
We stayed here in September of 2011...we were a little nervous about booking this place as we could not find any reviews apart from the one other review on this site. We had absolutely nothing to worry about and what a find, this place is a real gem...spacious, stylish and with a very pretty garden surrounding it. It is a 5-7 minute drive down the hill into aix-en-provence, which is the most charming town. Parking is not a problem in aix, as there are many well signposted parking garages at very reasonable prices, all located within minutes of the town centre. Aix is a great location for discovering other places in this lovely region. We will definately be back.

Gatineau, CanadaAmazing Villa
Left on 06/29/2011 for a stay in June 2011
My husband and I spent a full week at the Quatre Ruisseaux Villa from June 12th to June 19th and it was simply incredible. The actual site is beautiful, the pool is so nice and it is very quiet. We had a wonderful time and we recommend this place without any hesitation. The owners were very helpful as they went and bought food for us because we arrived on a holiday and everything was closed. I was quite impressed. Thank you so much Elizabeth and Patrick!
