  We went on a family vacation with our three boys ages 6, 4 & 2. We read reviews on trip advisor for weeks and went with the Winsome House in St. JohnUsvi. We checked their specials page and ended up being able to rent the house for $1700 for 7nights. We were there from June 30-July 6 and every day was fantastic! Destination St. John was great helping us find just the right villa for our family. Winsome house was beautiful, clean and had the most spectaular view of Coral Bay. Bedrooms were air conditioned, the main house was not, but it had an open air plan that allowed us to take in the wonderful trade winds high up on ajax peak... I must say, it was a little piece of heaven. I wanted to mention that Destination St. John set up our rent car too, someone met us at the ferry, took us right up the street to get our rental car and then we followed them to the house...they even stopped at the Dolphin market in Cruz Bay so we could get a few things before heading to the house, very nice, great customer service. Upon arrival the house was clean and everything we were told would be there was there.There was even a blow up mattress, so our 2yr old was able to sleep downstairs with us. Having the washer & dryer was great, went home with everybodies clothes clean! The house provided chairs for the beach, floats for the pool, beach towels, you name it, they thought of it! Having the pool was a nice bonus and the boys loved being able to swim many times each day, when we were not at the beach. Also, the downstairs bathroom has a door that leads in from the pool, this was fab because when coming from the beach or the pool we could go directly into the shower instead of having to go through the bedroom. Winsome house did a great job of familiarizing us with St. John as there was a wonderful binder full of everything you needed to know about Winsome House, St. John, the National Park, all the beaches, restaurants, etc. We checked out most beaches, but our favorite ended up being Maho Bay. We saw sea turtles, hugh starfish, stingrays, and beautiful tropical fish right off the beach. All the beaches were amazingly breathtaking, with white sand and crystal clear blue water. If you stay at Winsome House be sure to take the Route titled North Shore Beaches, once coming down from ajax Peak you will take a right like you are going to Cruz Bay, but instead of following the road all the way to Cruz Bay you will see a sign that says North Shore Beach and a hard right, take that road and it will take you to all north shore beaches, Maho Bay will be the first one that you come to. We liked going this way because it seemed closer and your didn't have to go into Cruz Bay, if you didn't want to. We enjoyed lots of reatuarants, in Cruz Bay, we ate at the Sundog Cafe, Morgan's Mango, Cafe Roma. In Coral Bay we ate at Skinny Legs, the Tourist Trap, Donkey Diner...we wanted to go to Miss Lucu's, but ran out of time. This was an amazing trip, we will return here for years to come!
