Description
Large cottage located on a farm, Kalastadir in Hvalfjjordur. Kalastaðir is only 55 km from Reykjavík in a beautiful landscape. The location is ideal for day trip sightseing tours to tourist attractions in the South and West part of Iceland e.g. Blue Lagoon, Reykjavík, Gullfoss, Geysir, Thingvellir, Snæfellsnes and Borgarfjordur. The cottage is close to the sea and the view is breathtaking. If you want to take a brake from driving and enjoy what the area has to offer, you can enjoy a stroll by the sea and watch the seals play along the shore. The local swimmingpool is also close by and the local golf course. There are many hiking routes in the area and there is a lake close by where you can buy fishing permit. You can buy groceries and other things you might need in Akranes which is only about 15 km from Kalastaðir.
The cottage is for 6-8 persons and it has a free WIFI. It´s very well equipped and special care has been taken to make sure that it offers everything needed for a nice stay. The smaller bedroom has a double bed and a closet, the larger has a double bed, a double sleeping sofa, and a closet. There is also a double sleeping sofa in he living room. The kitchen is well equipped, with a dishwasher and you can prepare a good meal there. The bathroom has a shower. Outside the cottage there is a hot tub, gas grill, table and and easy chairs where you sit and admire the beautiful landscape and the sea. Bedlinen and towels provided at no extra cost.
Please note smoking is not allowed in our cottage and we ask guests to not use outdoor shoes inside.
