We stayed here for 9 days in November and December and loved it all! This condo is quiet, secluded and a great place to rest. There are no phones, TVs, not even a radio station here, so if you want to party, go to the big resorts! The condo has everything you could possibly want, including spices, purified water, shampoo, etc, etc. Bring your toothbrush and visit for awhile!
Peggy was great to deal with, sending us many tips and brochures, etc.

Peggy and Mike's condo is lovely, spacious, well-appointed, and open to the light on all sides. We liked the decor, and we loved the balconies, the hammock, and all the windows. It's a relaxed, fairly secluded compound, and it's family-friendly. The shore is all reef. If you want sand, you can walk over to the beach farther down the akumal cove, and it's a nice half-moon bay. The pool is a pretty L shape. The staff is gracious. Nights are very quiet. All in all, we were very happy with the entire experience. It's a second-floor walk-up apartment.

I have been traveling to akumal for more than 25 years and for me it has always been a place of magic and beauty. On my most recent trip I spent a week at La Iguana #13. Having stayed at many other condos and hotels, I can honestly say this is one of the best in the area and certainly the best for the price. Located at the north end of Half Moon Bay, the condo is removed from the crowded beaches and mega-resorts that have sprung up south of akumal. The condo itself is exactly as described by the owners. It is spotlessly clean and is kept that way by the wonderful housekeeper, Silvia. The kitchen is well equipped if you prefer to cook for yourself but if you are taking a vacation from cooking, you can check out the nearby restaurants. (I recommend La Buena Vida for the food, drinks, location and friendly servers.) There is a large terrace off the living room - perfect for al fresco dining - and smaller terraces off each of the bedrooms where you can sit and enjoy the ocean breezes. You won't be disappointed.

The Unit is on the 2nd floor of a 2 story unit and has windows on all sides. Because of this, and in spite of the typical Mexico heat, we never even had to consider turning the air Conditioning on...tremendously enjoying the sounds of the Sea at night and birds in the morning. Daily Maid service was excellent and the Unit had lots of little amenities that one does not normally expect in a vacation rental. Cueva de Pascador had fabulous grilled Grouper and the Yal-Kul Lagoon is less than 200M away and worth a visit.

We just got back from an 11 day stay at La Iguana 13 and loved every minute of it. The owners were so wonderful at providing us with excellent resources to help plan our trip and the accommodations were terrific. The bed in the master suite was so comfy and there was plenty of room for everyone (two adults and two teens), to spread out and enjoy themselves. There were two bathrooms with shower and a large kitchen with all the appliances we needed. The internet connection was a big plus as was the aC in both bedrooms! There are games to play at night and hammocks to laze around in during the day. We loved being able to grab our snorkeling gear and walk out to the water and swim as well as walk down the road to the incredible Yal-Ku lagoon. It was like swimming in an aquarium! The beach in akumal town is great and swimming with the sea turtles and sting rays there is an awesome experience. The local restaurants are nice and you can walk to some nice ones from the condo along the beach. This is a great place to stay and wonderful owners to work with. The maid service was awesome and I felt very safe there. I highly recommend La Iguana 13 and akumal to all, and I plan to return myself in the near future. I have already give the condo info to several of my friends!

We stayed in the condo the last week of Oct. Had an awesome time, close to everything that we needed. Plenty of restaurants nearby, the road area is safe, and everything is within a mile walk.
The condo is clean, roomy, and everything you could want is there. The management is very nice and helpful, and any requests, they get back to you immediately. Close to the beach, just a walk thru the breezeway, and lounge chairs are waiting for you. Snorkeling in the area is spectacular.
There is plenty to see in the area, but you'd definitely need a car for any outside excursions. But if you're looking for somewhere to relax, drink, eat good food, this is the place to stay. Lots of friendly people staying in the area, which made evenings nice if your looking for conversation. Waking up in the morning, drinking coffee on the patio, listening to the birds, you can't help thinking 'life is good". Had a great time, would definitely go back again, and again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Iguana! Hector was so welcoming and the staff was fabulous. We loved snorkeling in Half-Moon Bay (just through the breezeway). The pool is great. It was the quiet and relaxing family vacation that we were looking for! Swimming with the sea turtles topped off our week.

Our party of 4 had an awesome time in the akumal area. The Stones' condo fit our needs perfectly. The place was immaculately clean and beautiful. The condo grounds were lush and tropical; the pools were clean and refreshing. The condo staff were friendly and efficient. They'll even teach you a few Spanish words and phrases. Half Moon Bay was the perfect place to relax, read, and snorkel. One evening we watched the release of hundreds of baby sea turtles into akumal Bay. What an unforgettable sight for all ages! A variety of restaurants, bars, and stores are within walking distance; we had many tasty meals. The fresh seafood was incredibly delicious! Peg and Mike, we will definitely return to your vacation rental on Half Moon Bay! Thanks for being so accommodating.

The vacation my wife and I just enjoyed for our 20th wedding anniversary at Peggy and Mike's condominium was very enjoyable and relaxing. The pools, grounds, and condo are kept very clean and in great shape. We enjoyed snorkeling in the nearby ocean, with schools of colorful fish, sea turtles, and coral. In fact, this is something we did every day of the week. This condo is situated in a very good location, with little traffic and many restaurants within walking distance (we didn't even rent a car, instead using a transportation service to and from the Cancun airport). This was an awesome vacation and also a great value.
