Located an hour's drive south of Cancun airport on Mexico's Mayan Riviera, Casa Caribbean is a penthouse at La Mirage, a three story, six-unit beachfront building. We are in the middle section of Half Moon Bay, next to La Lunita restaurant and Las Tortugas. We are a short walk from Yal-Ku lagoon and a 15-20 minute walk from Akumal's small town center with wonderful shops, arts, crafts, groceries, dive center and good restaurants.
The Mayan ruins of Tulum are a 20 minute drive and amazing Coba is approximately a one hour drive from Casa Caribbean.

We basically loved this place. The sea view and breeze were devine! And we felt like we were in our own home. The household service was more than good - we sent our housekeeper away a couple of days because we were so sloppy and feelling at home!
Our big complaint has to do with the beach! We didn't realize that snorkeling meant we should have shoes to get beyond the rocky shore! There's no wading in for a swim here! Big disappoint! -

Our vacation ws amazing. We loved akumal because it is very low key and the condo was perfect. We had no idea how much of a blessing it was to be on Half Moon Bay instead of the much busier akumal Bay until we got there. We snorkeled every day right in front of the condo and relaxed. Roberto (the condo manager on site) was such a wonderful help and very concerned to make sure we had a nice visit. We would definitely recommend the place to friends and family. Defintely check out the lagoon, a short walk from the condo.

We are a family with 3 kids and we all fit easily in this clean, nice condo. The view is amazing- we loved hanging out on the hammock!
The best snorkeling we have ever done is right off this beach.
There is a pool down below that the kids thoroughly enjoyed and the restaurant that is attached was amazing. There is a cute little town with restaurants and shops right down the road with more beautiful beaches.
We would definitely go back again! -

i have been to casa caribbean several times and look forward to my next visit. Really, there are two unique features that come to mind. The first is the view. You feel as if you are suspended over the sea as if on a boat. Rays and turtles swim by. There are wonderful sunsets and spectacular storms that advance across the sky in front of you.
The second is the snorkeling. I have been all over the caribbean snorkeling and diving and i have found this place hard to beat. The reef in front is protected and easy swim. The coral is healthy and there are plenty of fish and turtles to swim with. A nearby lagoon is also protected and leads out to the sea. You can swim out as far as you dare with nice coral on the way.
the condo is quite comfortable with modern amenities. The local town akumal is an old diving center with good mexican food and lovely beaches to wonder.- a wonderful place

It's hard to beat this condo in akumal. This two bedroom condo is great for families with small children. It's right on the water in Half Moon bay where the water is very calm and not intimidating. It's also in a quiet part of town yet a short walk to a great restaraunt (next door) and a happening bar (about a ten minute walk). A definite thumbs up.

This was my second time to Casa Caribbean and it will definitely not be my last. The condo is decorated and appointed beautifully and being on the third floor you get gorgeous views and ocean breezes. We watched a turtle nest on the beach below us as we relaxed in the hammock on the porch with a margarita in our hands, it couldn't have been more perfect.
Be sure to visit La Buena Vida just stumbling distance down the beach and swing at the bar with a cocktail as the waves wash in front of you.
And La Lunita downstairs in the building is amazing and they were even nice enough to bring the food up to our condo so we could eat on our porch. We had another amazing vacation we can't wait for our next stay. -

Our family of four had an amazing week at this Casa Caribbean condo. The beachfront views made leaving to go anywhere else seem completely unnecessary! Our sons enjoyed first time snorkeling off the beach, and we were blessed to witness a nest of Sea Turtles hatch!! There were many beautiful species of birds in the trees in addition to all the amazing sea creatures to discover. The community feel is lovely, very low key and friendly---a welcome retreat from the resort areas. The spacious home was beautifully appointed, and daily maid service made staying there a breeze. The superintendent was friendly and quickly responsive to our one request to attend to our airconditioner after a fuse blew. We cooked many of our meals in by stopping at local markets, the kitchen was stocked with all needed dishes, utensils, etc. The restaurant downstairs---right on the beach---was very reasonably-priced, delicious local specialties. What an amazing getaway, pure paradise! We will make this an annual destination if possible!
