penticton,canadaCasa Rosa is perfect!
Left on 05/12/2013 for a stay in April 2013
This is our first time staying in a vacation rental. The last several trips have been to all inclusive and we thought we would try something different. We loved Casa Rosa and can't say enough about it. We did a ton of research on all the properties in the area. We found the location of the house with the pool and beach to be one of the best in the area. The house has everything you need. The only thing we thought it was missing was a gas BBQ and and dishwasher. Maria, Bernadino and Noel looked after us so well. We used a grocery delivery service from akumal to stock our fridge and we were set. We made a few trips into Tulum and shopped at Chedraui. It has everything we wanted and the selection was much better than the San fransico shop in Tulum.
The snorkeling was fantastic! We can't wait to visit Casa Rosa again!Response from Akumal Direct Reservations - 05/13/2013

Thank you so much for your lovely comments about your stay at Casa Rosa! We are so pleased that you enjoyed the house and Tankah Tres beach. Renting a private home is a much more personal and private experience than staying in a large all inclusive hotel complex.
We are happy to learn that you used our recommended grocery delivery, Riviera Maya Groceries. It's so convenient!
The reason why we do not have a dishwasher machine is because the house is on septic and water is delivered. Maria is more than happy to do guest dishes anytime! We have noted the request for a gas BBQ.
We will look forward to your return to Casa Rosa! We appreciate your business. Thank you so much for choosing Casa Rosa for your vacation. -

Mexico CityAbsolutely fantastic !
Left on 01/06/2013 for a stay in December 2012
We had the opportunity to stay in this fantastic property and it is just absolutely amazing. The house is perfect ! great bedrooms, nice spaces and overall very nice maintained and with all of the needs to make your stay very comfortable. Outside, the great Caribbean sea, perfect view. The beach is not that good to swim as there is a lot of coral, but the two kayaks provided make enough fun to go further and then you can find nice spots with sand and very good for snorkeling too ... as a matter of fact, there are several tours that go just in front of the house with tourists paying to snorkel.
The service from the maid is great, nice dinner ...
If you are looking for a place outside the noise of Cancun and even Playa del Carmen this is the place to stay, also if you are planning to do more nature turism or archeologic, this is also the place as it is very close to lots of cenotes (underground rivers) and very close to Tulum ruins.
To sum up, this was the best vacation ever and we look forward to come back ... -

Geneva, SwitzerlandParadise indeed!

We stayed at Casa Rosa with our 2 daughters and 2 small grand-daughters, and all of us had a really good time. The house was exactly as advertised, very comfortable and well-equipped, and really peaceful. It is indeed paradise!
Bernardino, the caretaker, and Maria, the housekeeper, were really great, always very helpful, and the meal they prepared for us at our request one evening was really delicious and not to be missed. It does make a difference having someone there if you need them, and Bernardino is great - discreet but always available. It's also reassuring to have Noel, the security guard, outside every night as it is such a quiet location.
It is difficult to imagine how this wonderful place could be any better.

I enjoyed our stay at Casa Rosa. The location was perfect and the amenities met our expectations. We especially enjoyed relaxing under the palm trees and playing in the kayaks. We were disappointed in the cleanliness of the house. None of floors appeared to have been scrubbed and the tile in the kitchen and dining rooms was stained. We asked Maria for a mop, as were were going to clean them, and neither she or Bernardo could find one. When Eddie arrived to introduce himself, I asked if the floors could be mopped. He graciously said yes and spoke with Maria. A mop was eventually found, but all of the floors were not cleaned.
As far as the furnishings, the artwork and bedrooms were beautiful. The only thing I would change is the orange sofa as it was uncomfortable and did not fit in with the rest of the decor. One last thing, we bought food to cook on the grill, but the grill was rusty and in poor condition. -

Davidsonville, MDTHE NEXT BEST THING TO HAVING THE YUCATAN ALL TO YOURSELF
Left on 08/23/2008 for a stay in August 2008
I have traveled extensively around the globe for over 25 years. For personal travel, I stay whenever possible in vacation rental properties. I find they provide a more comfortable and memorable experience than hotels. That means I have stayed in a lot of rental properties in a wide variety of locations from Tuscany to the Gulf of Siam.
Casa Rosa may very well be the single best such property in which I have ever stayed. The location is suberb, the beach almost unbelievably white and pristine. We were out everyday enjoying the sites in the area, but, frankly, we really did not need to go anywhere. We could have had a fabulous time just staying at the house.
The condition of the property is flawless. The staff is courteous, attentive when they need to be and unobtrusive when that is required. Both of the local property managers visited us during our stay, and they were both class acts as well.
The cenote down the road is a real pleasure on a hot day. I snorkeled every day I was there in the bay out front and saw more fish than I had seen in many years of scuba diving, all within about fifteen minutes of the house.
The last night we were there, the baby turtles began to hatch from nests along the beach. Literally hundreds of them were becoming disoriented and wandering away from the water rather than toward it. The night guard, who was a true gentlemen, was out in the dark, scooping them up and taking them gently to the bay. He invited both our children to help, and they participated in saving dozens of these endangered animals. You could hardly ask for a more perfect way to end our vacation.
In short, if your plan is to drink your weight in tequila and sit by the pool with hundreds of other tourists - stay in Cancun. If you are looking for a real vacation and a chance to experience what the Yucatan has to offer, you would be hard pressed to do better than Casa Rosa. -

Some vacations stay with you for a lifetime.
The combination of Casa Rosa, Tulum, and the adventures in between, will certainly be talked about for a long, long time.
We loved every minute of it. -

Perfect for families with kids. Lots of shade and nice small pool. We had a wonderful time, the bedding was so nice and cozy with flowers. I recommend this house. The kayak was very fun but remember to bring your own snorkal gear it is not provided. Also the gas grill does not work well at all because of the wind, we had to use a charcoal grill.
