Montreal, Quebec, CanadaMissed the Ocean View but very happy overall.

Property was very well managed overall but we would have like to have known about the change in check in procedure in advance; we were told to check in onsite but upon arrival were told we had to check in at La Bahia instead (a good walk away - glad we had a car!). Otherwise everything was excellent and we were especially happy to have made so many great freinds (both owners and other tennants). Pool was A1, overall landscaping of the courtyard was also very well done; Tropical Paradise!

Great location--rough road though. Condo could use a new stove (or a repair). All employees very helpful and friendly. I would definitely go back.

Mayfield Village, OHBeautiful place to relax and enjoy Akumal Mexico
Left on 05/03/2009 for a stay in April 2009
My family and I stayed at this property for a week and had a wonderful time. The villa was very nice, clean and equipped with all the necessities of home, including a very large selection of DVD's, games and CD's. Just steps from the villa was the well maintained pool which was the perfect temp. On the other side the beautiful ocean, a few more steps away. Beautiful gardens surround the pool. The master suite, the entire second floor, with it's domed ceiling was awesome as was the verandah, where we had coffee everymorning. Hector was very nice as was the rest of the staff on site. Always there if you needed something. My only complaint was that after you took a shower or the shower was cleaned by the staff, the BR's smelled for some time, kind of a rotten egg smell, particularly the master BR! Not sure but I think it's because of the septic system most of Mexico is on. Fortunately there were candles in the villa and we lit those for a little while to help with the smell. Other than that, this was a great place to stay; quiet, fun, and very relaxing. Nice home away from home!

Berkeley, CAFun for all ages

I shared La Sirena #16 and an adjacent condo (#17) for one week with 11 family members ranging in age from 11 to 70. We really enjoyed it!
The poolside location was great, especially for the kids. And a short walk (1 min) got us to the seaside for sunbathing and stargazing on beach chairs. We did not miss having a sandy beach immediately adjacent. The staff was ever-present and quickly resolved a problem with the water. I slept in the master bedroom--wonderful!!! We also VERY MUCH appreciated the WiFi in #16.
I'm happy to say that every member of my VERY opinionated/critical family was pleased with the accommodations...and that says ALOT! At least one is planning a return visit. -

OTTAWA, Ontario, CanadaGreat location and value

The unit was very well appointed, with everything we needed and more. The location is super - close enough to the main village; but Half Moon Bay is preferable - not as busy and it has great snorkelling, with turtles, rays, barracuda and many different types of fish. The La Sirena staff are warm, welcoming and helpful. We look forward to a longer stay next time!

Safe couldn't be used, manager couldn't figure out. That's kind of a nuisance when you want to just be in a bathing suit all day. Also internet router didn't work, which was too bad. Otherwise Villa fine. La Sirena could update beach furniture, otherwise fine

We loved our place. It was in a perfect part of the bay to see the sunrise & sunset. The only thing missing from our place was a barbecue, which for us is a must. The beach is a little hard to get into due to the coral reef, but the snorkeling is fantastic. The staff were great & very helpful. Much better than an all inclusive!

Left on 04/11/2008 for a stay in March 2008
We had a wonderful stay. Much more of a place than we expected. The pictures on the web didn't depict the expanse of the accommodations. It was perfect for our group and accessible to everything. We would have liked to walk into town, but too far for Grandma. The only set back was the 30 topes to get to La Sirena!! The kids had fun counting them. Nice and quiet, great pool and beach side getaway. We would love to come back. Great Staff!!
