French Angel combines two totally renovated and redecorated two story, two bedroom townhouses.

Plan your activities or let events unfold. French Angel offers direct access to the lagoon, and easy access to the ocean, nearby restaurants, and the many activities in and around Akumal.

Sleep in comfort in your bedroom suite with large wi...ndows overlooking the lagoon. Located on the second floor, each bedroom has its own separate air conditioning and bathroom with sink, toilet and shower. In each townhouse there is one bedroom with two double beds and a second bedroom with a king size bed.

The ground floor for each Townhouse contains two a complete living room, dining room, two kitchen, bathroom, and laundry area. The spacious living rooms include comfortable furniture and patio doors looking over the lagoon. The flat screen TVs are attached to a satellite with US content including all the major networks and HBO as well as a DVD/CD player. Open WiFi Internet connection is available at no cost. Each unit has a telephone with free, unlimited calls to the US, Canada, Europe, and over 50 other countries. With a US phone number, your friends and family can easily call you.

The open transitions from the living rooms to the dining areas add to the feeling of spaciousness. The spacious dining areas include a table for six and again feature patio doors looking over the lagoon.

With the fully equipped kitchens, you can choose to fix your own meals, go out to any of the area restaurants, or hire your caretaker, to fix you some special dinners you are sure to remember.

Walk out a few steps from the patio directly to your private access to the lagoon. Put on your snorkeling gear, turn left towards the head of the lagoon and commune with parrot fish, angel fish, sergeant fish, and many other exotic tropical fish. Turn right and swim towards the sea and you may spot a turtle or ray after the lagoon transitions to a sandy inlet. With essentially no waves, the lagoon is ideal for children and adults, and offers magnificent snorkeling for both the novice and the more experienced snorkeler.

Treat yourself to something special: go to the roof deck where you get a spectacular view of the lagoon, the ocean, and the surrounding area. You can relax on the lounge chairs and "catch the rays", or you can sit in the covered seating area if you want to enjoy the view but stay out of the sun.. but best of all, you can relax in the heated rooftop pool overlooking the lagoon.

We are located in the small town of Akumal directly on the Caribbean Ocean in the heart of the beautiful Mexican Riviera Maya. Only 60 miles south of Cancun airport, the town is worlds away from the hustle and bustle of the party towns of Cancun and Playa del Carmen. In fact, it is the only place that retains the old laid-back, relaxed atmosphere that existed before the resorts took over much of the coast.

Akumal has plenty to do with good restaurants, shopping, two beaches, diving, snorkeling and more. It is also ideally located for excursions to Mayan ruins (Tulum, Coba, Chichen-Itza) as well as other beaches, golf, nearby towns (Tulum, Playa del Carmen), tourist attractions (Xel-Ha, Xcaret, Xplor, Hidden Worlds, Achten-Chen), and more.

Our private complex is located directly on Yal Ku lagoon with magnificent snorkeling. With two private entrances, you have free access to the lagoon whenever you want. Because the lagoon has no waves, the snorkeling is ideal for children or inexperienced snorkelers as well as experienced snorkelers. We strongly recommend using vests while snorkeling and provide a variety of sizes from infants to adults.

These rates are for vacation rentals within a Saturday to Saturday. Weekly only (Saturday to Saturday) for Christmas, New Years, Easter, and school holidays. 4 or 5 night minimum for stays within a Saturday to Saturday period.

  We spent a week in a Blue Tang house and we barely got out of there in the whole week. You have everything you need. The house is upscale. The staff was always attentive. The terrace and pool on the top provide you with stunning views and lovely evenings. The lagoon is by the door and we felt it almost like our private pool. We went snorkeling everyday and it was beauuutiful. If you are interested in Mayan ruins, Tulum is just 15 km southbound. Just go and check yourself! Definitely a place to escape from reality.

  Wonderful Relaxing Spot I almost Hate To Tell anyone Else about!

  This was our 5th visit to akumal, and our 2nd to this property. It is truly at "the end of the road". There are only good things to say about the property and staff. If you enjoy snorkeling, this place is nirvana. Please remember to bring a UV shirt to protect yourself and do not use sunscreen in the lagoon!

  A Real Find!

  French angel was all the website said it would be and more! We were well taken care of by the staff and David's info before we went really came in handy. The town is lovely, the diving source David gave us was great and reasonable. Very good restaurants were within walking distance of the villa with several right on the beach. The snorkeling in the lagoon that is right outside the door is the best in the area. Be sure to look for the info binder in the villa. We didn't see it at first and it answered most of our questions. Also the guestbook has lots of great hints about activities and warns about the jelly fish! Really a fantastic find and we plan on returning with more family and friends!
