Paris, FranceGreat Vacation at Villa Ka Kuxta
Left on 12/31/2012 for a stay in December 2012
Villa Ka Kukta was a little paradise for all my family 5 adults and 7 children. We all had a wonderful time. Akumal is a wonderful place to stay, the villa is in a secluded location and we really appreciated that. Akumal Playa and Village are very nice, we enjoyed the restaurants and the boutiques there.
It is easy to visit some of the Maya sites: we went to Tulum, Koba and Chichen Itza.
We enjoyed Christmas Mass in Chemuyil, people there were very friendly, in fact all mexicans are really very nice.
The management and staff at the villa were perfect, they cooked nice dinners for us and did everything they could to make our stay pleasurable.
We were sad to leave and sorry we could not stay longer (the trip from France is quite long and tiresome, but my son and son-in-law had to go back to work, a week is too short...)
All of us will keep wonderful memories of this awsome place and we wish you a great 2103. -

Veghel, NetherlandsKa Kuxta: again a luxurious and relaxing experience
Left on 12/02/2012 for a stay in November 2012
This was our third time for a 2-week vacation at villa Ka Kuxta with our whole family. Parents, children, spouses and grand children.
The villa is an ideal location for such an occasion with lots of privacy in the villa and be/do things together at the same time. Although the travel from the Netherlands is very long we think we may be back in future again. -

Left on 11/21/2012 for a stay in June 2012
I was one of three families (5 adults, 5 children between the ages of 12 and 9) who spent a week in June at the lovely Villa Ka Kuxta. The villa is an easy, just shy of two hour drive south of Cancun, tucked away in a small gated development. The villa itself is lovely - Mexican architecture, jungle foliage. When you first enter, you are struck by the amazing view - a wall of sliding glass doors on the far side of the living room opens onto the beach. The house included large bedrooms, two big kitchens, a dining room table big enough for our whole group, two lovely living rooms, a second floor deck and a rooftop deck. Everything is furnished with an eye towards luxury and comfort. When you step outside, before you reach the beach, there is a pool - which provided hours of entertainment for our kids. On the beach were some kayaks for the ocean. The waves were gentle and the water was great for snorkeling. The house was kept spotless, bottled drinking water was provided and Demetrio, who manages the house for the owners, made sure that our every need was attended to. We found plenty to do during the day. Mayan ruins are within easy reach at Tulum and Coba and Chichen Itza makes for a fascinating day trip. We snorkeled at akumal Playa, we took the kids to swim in cenotes. Sometimes we cooked at home (there were two very good supermarkets nearby), other days we enjoyed the restaurants in akumal Pueblo, Akumal Playa and Tulum. I can't say enough good things about our stay at Villa Ka Kuxta.

We had a wonderful time at Villa Kakuxta. We rented both the main house and the Casita-both were immaculately clean. With the included staff, it had the flexibility of a house with the convenience of a hotel. Demetrio, the house manager, was extremely helpful in organizing tours, offering suggestions on local restaurants and shopping. We can’t wait to return.

London, United KingdomFabulous place for families
Left on 08/30/2012 for a stay in August 2011
We travelled in a big group of 2 families. I would say it is ideal for this as it has 2 independant living areas with seperate kichens etc... If you want to eat togegher you can or you can spend time seperately.
The kids liked being by the pool and we canooed to akumal in the evening with a giant tortoise swimming along side us.
If you take children ask for directions to the Cenotes- inland underwater caves- our children are still asking to go back so they can swim in them again.
Overall very friendly and a great place for a relaxing break. -

We found the villa to be very well set up for our family stay. The service staff were very welcoming and hospitable. We loved the location and general set up. The mgmt company was very helpful in organizing our stay and we would work with them again.

Veghel, NetherlandsStill a great villa and location, but villa needs attention.
Left on 12/07/2011 for a stay in December 2011
We had again a great vacation with 10 people in the villa, but comapred to 5 years ago the villa and management needs attention and maintenance otherwise it will slip down to an unacceptable level relative to the rent paid, facing problems with some airco's and humidity, bath tubs, warm water, fountain, etc.

Long Island, NYTop Notch Vacation Spot
Left on 03/01/2011 for a stay in February 2011
We have been renting villas while vacationing in akumal for 7 years and this was the best property by far. This house is extremely well constructed and sited. The house sits directly & I mean directly, on the beautiful Caribbean. There is nothing between the house and the sea except the swimming pool and some white sand. The views from every room are spectacular. The interior is tastefully appointed. The bathrooms are marble and tile. The interior is trimmed in beautiful hardwoods. There is quality furniture throughout. There is nothing tacky or cheap about this place. There are two complete kitchens and the house is ideal for two families that want to vacation together but still want some privacy as there are two complete bathrooms and ample living space on each of the two levels. The roof top deck has unparalleled views.
South akumal is for those who want the beach and serenity. This is a quite, secure and altogether peaceful place to spend a vacation.
The manager and maid were attentive but unobtrusive. I highly recommend this villa. -

Left on 03/31/2008 for a stay in January 2008
This was our first time and it won't be our last. Everything was as described and we felt at home from the very start. What a great way to enjoy a week in Mexico. Thanks to the staff on-site and management for making this the first of many trips away from the resort crowds.
