Relax as this beautiful villa is waiting to ensure maximum comfort and enjoyment for you and your family or guests. Designed to accommodate large groups, Casa Delfín provides expansive common areas and five private bedroom suites.

Sleep in comfort in your spacious bedroom suite with its own air conditioning and its own bathroom with sink, toilet, and shower. There are two bedrooms with a king size bed including the master suite on the top floor,... one bedroom with a queen bed, and two bedrooms with two double beds each.

The ground floor features a large living area and a wrap-around veranda that opens to the path leading directly to the lagoon. Just walk down to the end, put on your snorkeling gear, and commune with parrot fish, angel fish, sergeant fish, and many other exotic tropical fish. Swim towards the sea and you may spot a turtle or ray after the lagoon transitions to a sandy inlet. Inside, a luxurious semicircular seating area calls for conversations and good times. There is also a large built-in bar with a refrigerated cooler for beer and drinks.

The second floor features a large living/eating area, kitchen, and expansive veranda. The flat screen TV US content via satellite including all of the major networks and HBO as well as a DVD/CD player. Open WiFi Internet connection is available at no cost along with unlimited free phone calls to and from the US, Canada, Mexico, Europe and about 50 other countries. We even provide a US phone number so your family and friends can call you.

With the fully equipped kitchen, you can choose to fix your own meals, go out to any of the area restaurants, or hire your caretaker, Rene, to fix you some special dinners you are sure to remember.

Spoil yourself with a truly special treat, go to the top floor roof deck where you get the most spectacular view of the lagoon and the surrounding area from any location in Akumal. In the main area, you can relax on the lounge chairs and "catch the rays" in complete privacy, or you can sit in the palapa covered seating area if you want to enjoy the view but stay out of the sun.. but best of all, you can relax in the heated rooftop pool overlooking the lagoon.

We are located in the small town of Akumal directly on the Caribbean Ocean in the heart of the beautiful Mexican Riviera Maya. Only 60 miles south of Cancun airport, the town is worlds away from the hustle and bustle of the party towns of Cancun and Playa del Carmen. In fact, it is the only place that retains the old laid-back, relaxed atmosphere that existed before the resorts took over much of the coast.

Akumal has plenty to do with good restaurants, shopping, two beaches, diving, snorkeling and more. It is also ideally located for excursions to Mayan ruins (Tulum, Coba, Chichen-Itza) as well as other beaches, golf, nearby towns (Tulum, Playa del Carmen), tourist attractions (Xel-Ha, Xcaret, Xplor, Hidden Worlds, Achten-Chen), and more.

Our private complex is located directly on Yal Ku lagoon with magnificent snorkeling. With two private entrances, you have free access to the lagoon whenever you want. Because the lagoon has no waves, the snorkeling is ideal for children or inexperienced snorkelers as well as experienced snorkelers. We strongly recommend using vests while snorkeling and provide a variety of sizes from infants to adults.

These rates are for vacation rentals within a Saturday to Saturday. Weekly only (Saturday to Saturday) for Christmas, New Years, Easter, and school holidays. 4 or 5 night minimum for stays within a Saturday to Saturday period.

  We left Long Island in the early winter, having already experienced two months of snow, ice and bitter cold. We were delighted to arrive at the Casa Delfin and were struck by its unique warmth and beauty. The house sits seamlessly in nature, looking over and backing into a natural swimming and snorkelling pool. For those who appreciate underwater worlds, this pool offers a peek into a different universe filled with magnificent fish. We had a blast picking up local fish at the Cueva del Pescador and cooking them in the well-equipped kitchens of the Casa Deflin. We walked to the beaches on the open Caribbean Sea, and also made it into town to drink Margaritas and watch the sunset. We would do it again in a heartbeat and hope Casa Delfin will be available to accommodate us the next time our schedule permits such a trip.

  What an amazing oasis

  We were at the Casa Delfin and I had no idea what to expect. It was my first time in Mexico and I fell in love with the area, thanks to the house and its location. Located directly on a snorkling Lagoon this house is spacious, charming and most of all the perfect house to bring family or friends. We definitely will go back to Casa Delfin... hopefully soon. It's a true Oasis in Mexico! Highly recommend it. The owners were so easy to deal with and the people who took care of the house were so nice and helpful that when we needed anything... it was there moments later. What a fun vacation this was!

  Review This was a return visit and our favorite place to stay in akumal! Perfect for our family and extended family with so many areas in the house for togetherness or some privacy when needed. The Yal Ku unfortunately has been discovered by tour groups but we found if we went out in the early morning it still felt like "our Lagoon". Afternoons were much too crowded for our tastes but still lovely to look at. Rene and Lucy are the best. They prepared a wonderful birthday dinner for my husband and couldn't have been more gracious. We love Casa Delf&iaute; and akumal but much more crowded now than we remembered, bound to happen I suppose with such a beautiful spot. Look forward to our next visit.

  Anyone who has a chance to stay at Casa Delfin should do so. The house is beautiful, spacious and relaxing, and is right on a lagoon where the snorkelling is superb. Birdwatching and other activities are all around, and the service was great. Akumal is a great village, with restaurants and bars under palapas on the beach. This is a great place! We've been back several times.

  The most relaxing place...

  We arrived in akumal at night by rental car and actually missed the turn twice because the road to town was under construction. As we drove to the Lagoon, we wondered if we were really in the wilderness. Then, we arrived at Delfin. We were met by the staff and welcomed. Our every need and want and even wish seemed to have been anticipated. We had the rest of our lifetimes - and my girlfriend actually accepted my marriage proposal within the Delfin. We are now happily married.
