Description from the owner
Perched right on the edge of the coastline with sweeping majestic views of the Caribbean ocean, Nah-Hah is our crown jewel. The cool ocean breeze beckons you to come relax in a hammock on the veranda, or to take a dip in the custom Infinity edge pool. As you enter the lush, tropical grounds of Nah-Hah you will start to feel the tension float away. The journey to your relaxation will be completed as you enter the villa and the bubbling sound of the fountain in the entry way soothes your spirit while the sound of the ocean in the background washes away the final bits of tension. Let yourself be pampered by maid service (6 days a week) and have...Read more

Additional Location Information
Nah-Hah is on the most NE point of land separating Bahia Media Luna (Half Moon Bay) & the Caribbean Ocean. Has at least 240 degrees of sea water views. The Palancar Reef is out in the Caribbean Ocean just about a 100 yards from the shoreline in front of the villa. Walk down the path from the pool garden area to enter the bay, with your snorkel gear on and have a close up underwater view. The point has pockets of sand which have gathered treasures from the sea, small shells, interesting coral pieces and marine plants and creatures. Adult collectors and children enjoy these and sometimes artistic souls use larger pieces of coral, driftwood and limestone to create sculptures to the sea.
Unfortunately the Bing map used above does not show the actual bays and land forms of the area. Doesn't even show Yal-Kul Laguna or Bahia Media Luna and Akumal Bay. Ask me to send you a Google map reference to see this astounding location.

Cedaredge ColoradoAkumal for more than a week
Left on 03/20/2013 for a stay in January 2013
We arrived in akumal January 15, 2013 for a monthlong stay at Casa Nah Hah. I had gone to akumal in November to look at a location for this stay and met with Kathy to look at the house. It was perfect for my wife and I as we wanted a private location where we could see the Caribbean. The house was more than adequate and we had different guests arrive at different times.
We arrived with the fountain in the entry running and a perfectly clean house. Daily cleaning was the rule not the exception. We had a number of meals prepared by Jesus and his wife. Delicious and oh so handy to not go out to a restaurant and cheaper as well. The second floor deck was used extensively with wonderful views of the sea and the sound effects of the waves awesome.
We often walked down the steps and snorkled in Half Moon Bay. Each time we went we saw something new, giant sting ray, loggerhead turtle, and of course many fish. YalKu lagoon is close by and well worth snorkeling there as well.
Akumal is a small village easily walked to from Nah Hah and offers a several wonderful restaurants.
After many trips to Mexico I always hated leaving after a week and wanted more. If at all possible stay longer you won't regret it.

Loved it so much we are returning for another two weeks this year. So good I would hesitate to rave if the owner and caretakers were not so wonderful as to make it an ethical necessity. I could reiterate the accolades below, but will just state they are true for the sake of brevity. Everything you need for fun is at the house or close at hand. Great little town, and many great attractions for a variety of tastes nearby. Kids 6/10, now 7/11, would just live in the beautiful ocean view pool if they could. The house is big enough that you, the adult, can have a lovely outdoor massage or pedicure on the second floor balcony and be totally at peace, even with a full house.

Fabulous house, fabulous location, caring owner, and wonderful caretakers. We landed at this house somewhat randomly but are returning again this year for another two weeks. An incredibly relaxing place for a family (and potentially bigger groups). Much to do in the general area of the Yucatan, but you may not want to leave "home" where the caretakers cook fabulous local dishes and you can have a private massage on the second floor balcony porch.
Minor downsides: we are cooks and the kitchen is more of a galley kitchen than a full kitchen. Somewhat surprising given the size of the house. Like any ocean front property, the climate takes its toll on anything that isn't stone. That said, the property is well maintained and fully equipped for fun by all.

Everything is Great!
A large comfortable house, comfortable beds with super cold a/C units.
Wonderful kitchen with all the cookware you'll need
Super service from the on premise caretaker.
Walk right into the bay and snorkel followed by a dip in the beautiful pool. Or walk 5 minutes to Yal Ku.
Walking distance to the tienda and restaurants on the bay. Iguanas hang out with you while you read on the patio. Best hammock in akumal. Wifi is reliable if you just have to stay connected.

Already planning our next visit to gorgeous Villa Nah Hah. Lovely villa with a million dollar view. Sparkling pool, nicely landscaped grounds, wrap-around terraces, hammock, lounge chairs, all very well maintained by friendly gardener, Jesus. Arrived to find huge tray of fresh fruit, along with large bouquets of glorious tropical flowers: an extremely nice touch. Wife Diamele keeps home interior spotless & well-stocked with necessities. Spacious bedrooms with huge windows overlooking the ocean, nicely cooled with a/C. Comfy & clean beds, pillows, & linens. Great to have access to satellite TV & be able to use our laptop to keep up with email & business. Caretakers fixed us a tasty Mayan meal our last evening for a reasonable fee; was truly delicious & memorable. Had loads of fun snorkeling, scuba diving with Natalie & Ivan, playing with the spider monkeys at The Jungle Place Sanctuary, gazing at the turtles in akumal Bay, visiting Tulum & Coba, doing the ziplines at Hidden Worlds, & checking out a few local cenotes. Spent one evening in Playa del Carmen, had drinks in the cave at alux, but most fun was at the Fish Spa at Wayan Village on 5th avenue. I think our favorite thing on the whole trip was watching the aqua & lavender octopi in the shallows right in front of the villa at dusk. Fantastic!!!

VancouverFamily Time in akumal
Left on 02/08/2012 for a stay in January 2012
My two adult sons, partner and friend spent two weeks in the Nah Hah Villa. We enjoyed the accommodations - More than enough space for all to come together or have private space to relax separately.
The kitchen, although a bit small, was very well equipped and allowed us to enjoy cooking local dishes which the family enjoys. All rooms had a wonderful view out to the patio, pool and ocean.
The facilities and grounds were very clean and well maintained on a daily basis by the caretakers. The only element we missed was a sandy beach but that did not prevent us from walking down the stone path adjacent to the pool and walking into the ocean. With water shoes we were able to manoeuvre around very well, swim, snorkel in the warm ocean waters. Thanks to Kathy, Jesus, and his wife for making our visit very relaxing and enjoyable. Susan

This is among the most beautiful vacation sites I have visited. This was so relaxing. The views from every window were spectacular! The caregivers indulged us each day with fresh fruit, the cleanest of quarters, and meals as we requested. The lovely town of akumal provided the perfect retreat.

This villa is amazing. I've been there twice now and would not hesitate to return for a third visit. The home is located on a point so the view is 270 degrees or more! Well furnished. Great family as grounds keepers and they are wonderful cooks as well. It's wonderful to come home from a big day and have a great home cooked meal waiting. The beds are awesome, the constant breeze means you don't need aC, although it is available in all the bedrooms. You will want to rent a car as it is a bit remote from the main road. Covered parking for one car. Very safe, the caretaker or his family is always on site. If you get to meet the owner, Kathy, you are in luck. She's a delight. I can't say enough about this wonder home. You are sure to be totally pleased.

Perched on a point in north akumal, the view of the Carribean from Villa Nah Ha"s infinity pool is world class. The 4 bedroom house and its tropical surroundings are the perfect spot for a family vacation. The house is spacious and offers plenty of room for 8 adults and 3 children under five. There's a fully equipped kitchen so you can cook in, but you can also hire staff who live on the property to prepare meals. They're a wonderful family and take great care with housekeeping and maintaining the grounds. There are also a number of restaurants within easy walking distance, which is a real plus. Another plus is that besides a beautiful pool to enjoy, you're only a few steps away from wonderful swimming and snorkeling in Half Moon Bay. A 5 minute walk will get you to Yalkul Lagoon for more snorkeling. At the end of the day you can kick back and do some awe inspiring stargazing while sipping a cold one on the pool deck or on the second floor deck..take your choice. Life is very good at Villa Nah Hah.

I went to NaHa with my husband and some friends and we loved our vacation, the house is really great and it is located in the best spot of akumal, you can stay all day in its wonderful designed pool enjoying the view of akumals bay and the caribean sea. It is an excellent choice to take some days off to simply rest in paradise, or to have fun with family and friends.
