“Papa and Gigi's Family Vacation” This was our first time at Phoenix West and it won't be our last. Great location right on Orange Beach. Convenient to shops and restaurants. Lovely, clean, and spacious 2nd floor condo overlooking the lazy river. There were 5 adults and 3 children in our group. We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely visit again.

“Great Stay!!” We had a wonderful time. The condo was as advertised. The beaches, area, restaurants and recreation in the area was just great.

“Great condo!” We really enjoyed our stay at the Purple Parrott. The condo was very nice and clean and had everything we needed. They even had Netflix. The kitchen was very well equipped...including a blender and crockpot. It was a short walk to both pools and the gym. The outdoor pool was wonderful and had plenty of lounge chairs. We loved being able to take our own drinks to the pool. The beach was less than a mile away. This was the first time we had not stayed directly on the beach, but it was a much better bargain than a hotel room. We would definitely stay here again.

“Wonderful Christmas!” This condo was so much more than the pictures depict! It was a wonderful place to stay for Christmas! Dana was the absolute best person to work with! She quickly returns any phone calls and emails. She was even nice enough to text us to see if we had everything we needed!

“Enjoyed!!” This place served us well for our needs. We would stay there again. The gated community was nice and the pool area was wonderful. The place was clean and ready for our check in and didn't have any problems. The bed in this unit lacks in the comfort department. It really shoudl be replaced. Other than that it was perfect for our short stay with our boys.

“comfortable and convenient” We recently spent a long weekend at the Purple Parrot for an impromptu family reunion. We chose Yosanmine 10ad for its location near the pool and its proximity to Jump Up 5ad, where the rest of our family stayed. We ate meals and relaxed in 5ad, but during the time we spent in 10ad, we found it to be well equipped, comfortable, nicely decorated, and convenient for our purposes. The bed is firm, which we appreciated. My only recommendation is for the bathroom towels to be upgraded. They were thin and needing to be replaced. The management company is stellar, and we really appreciated the personal attention, friendliness, and responsiveness of the staff. The weather was great during our visit in the first week of October and we especially enjoyed being poolside in the glorious mornings.

“Purple Parrot: Ocean Melodie” How great was this home! We went down for the Thanksgiving Holiday. We have family living in Pensacola and used the fully equipped kitchen to cook a turkey dinner for 10 people. The complex is not on the beach but it is only a two block walk. You can still here the waves crashing on the shore at night while enjoying the large screened in porch or the walkout balcony off the master bedroom.thisnis a two story unit so not good for anyone who can't climb stairs. The complex has a heated indoor pool with hot tub, dry sauna and gym. We used the pool/hot tube every day. The outdoor pool area is a resort paradise with waterfalls and bar. The outdoor season was over so the bar was closed and the pool was too cold to enjoy but we did use the outdoor hot tub! A word of advice, make sure you go to Hub Stacie for dinner. Best food, best atmosphere and best. The Tanger's Outlet Center is 20 minutes away so bring an extra suitcase for all the great shopping you will do. In the summer there are plenty of farmer's markets for fresh fruits and vegetables. Enjoy! You will not regret picking this unit or this complex.

“Satisfied” Cottage is nice and well decorated. Enough room for 2. Back door view is of the pool pumps and equipment but it isn't loud or distracting. Could not get internet service to work - didn't have password for router. Iron was horrible. I was there on business so this was important to me.

“homely accomodation” accomodation was very clean. we had no problem during our stay.The staff at perdido rental office were very friendly and helpful.I would recommend this accomodation to anyone who wants privacy and a pleasant holiday.

“Was a very nice place and had a good experience, would go back a” The only problem was that the condo was advertised as having a couch that was to make out into another bed but it did not. They did change the info after I told them. Was not really a big issue and enjoyed our stay there and would go back again.

“Great vacation” This was one the best vacations that my family has been on in a along time

“Very relaxing” We very much enjoyed our stay. All the comforts of home right there at your fingertips. The resort had a laid back feel that contributed to the overall vacation experience. Close beach access made it all the more convenient.

“Wonderful Cottage -- Unless it rains 17 inches!!!” We loved 18C and Purple Parade. The location near the pristine beaches and glassy green water of Johnson Beach were perfect. And what a deal ... $8 pass for a week. We went to the beach with lifeguards and those without. We loved it. We had a couple of small glitchesn with the condo, mainly trying to use the ice maker... but the decore and extras provided were great. The giant was great, but suggest you leave instructions on how to use the shower. the most features were above great! Leda at the management got us into the place with only a few hours notice. Only negative was when we faced the record breaking rain on the morning we were leaving. They knew next to nothing about the evacation or driving dangers. Waiting 4 hours for the rain to slow so we could load our car... water was over the second step and pouring our of the sky like an open faucet

“Loved perdido key village resort” My family loved the feel of feel of the resort. The indoor and outdoor pools were so nice. The only complaint my kids had were that the mattress were uncomfortable in the two guest bedrooms. Master bedroom one seemed fine. It was very clean and well tended. We will come back again next year.

“A Little Piece of Heaven” This was the 2nd year our family chose to stay at the Purple Parrot Resort. We love everything about it...incredible value, location, the pool area, live entertainment and cleanliness of the unit. Jd and staff are the best, excellent customer service! Looking forward to a Girlfriend Getaway on Labor Day week-end!

“Great Week-End” We have a grandchild in the Navy and this rental works very well for the Pensacola area. Our last 4 visits we have stayed in a hotel which does not work as well as renting this condo did for all involved. This rental allowed kids to come to us so it was more like a vacation for them as well. Condo was clean and well stocked for our needs. Area was very nice and close to lots of things to do.

“Very well appointed place to spend a vacation.” We thought to vacation home was very attractive, well situated, and quite satisfying for our needs. The only negative we had was the inability to get the broadband internet service to function.

“Laid Back November Vacation” We stayed at Boogie Man in November, visiting our son, who was attending school at NaS Pensacola. Unit is in a good location with ample parking right out front and only steps from the indoor pool and gym. Easy drive over to the beach with a couple of nearby public parking lots. The unit was spacious,comfortable and nicely decorated. Good internet connection was nice. Would like to see a few additions to the kitchen like "normal size" bowls and cups. The front screened porch was nice but the plastic furniture should be upgraded. My wife pointed out that the master bed was quite soft. Overall, wWe would gladly pick the unit when we are back in the area.

“Very delightful and restful” Service was excellent. Home was well stocked with cooking and cleaning goods. More channels on the TV would be good, and teh wifi worked well.

“Nice Condo - Ocean View From 2nd Floor” Pleasant and helpful staff. Very accommodating. The condo was clean and well maintained. Both indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs. The outdoor pool is quite scenic with its own waterfall. The only thing more I could have asked for would have been a large flat screen TV (the condo only had a standard TV - not HD). They offer a military discount.

“relaxing” the house was really relaxing and quiet. one of the chairs on the porch you couldnt sit in because it was broke but that was the only flaw

“Clean, but in need of repairs” Our stay was pleasant - it was easy enough to check-in and get settled, despite the lack of on-site management 24/7. The rental was mostly clean, save for the roaches in the bathtub (eww). I'm guessing no one had been in the condo since the last renters (and maid) several weeks before. But, several doors, drapes, etc., were broken and in need of repair. From my understanding speaking with people at the resort, the previous owners lost the property; and, it is currently being managed by a temporary agency. That's fine, but be aware of it up-front. This property is not what it once was. The pool was probably the best part of the resort. We were there shortly after Hurricane Isaac, and there was hardly anyone there at the resort or on Perdido Key. And, that made it very peaceful. The neighbors were friendly (some folks apparently live in the condos, in addition to renters). Mosquitos are plentiful, and a neighbor killed a cottonmouth snake outside the condo one evening, so be aware of your surroundings. All in all, it was a good stay - I feel like the stay should have been discounted, as it obviously wasn't summer season anymore. But, we paid what we paid. For the size of the condo and amenities, it was a good value.

“Comfortable, Very Clean, Quiet & Relaxing!!” Great stay that exceeded expectations. All the amenities were exactly as stated on the website. The unit felt like a home away from home. All that is required is to unpack and bring in groceries. We enjoyed the beach chairs and beach umbrella. The restuarants nearby were wonderful. We already reccomended this location to a friend.

“Thanksgiving Stay” What a vacation. We came to Pensacola to spend the holiday with our son who is in the Marines. Our stay at the bungalow was so very relaxing. I was very pleased with how clean and comfortable the rental was. The only thing I would do different is get one with a screened in porch. I wanted to sleep with the door open but was afraid the raccoons would come visit. Being close to the beach was also nice. I do wish there was a better view of the water, but I read three books and enjoyed the birds.

“Great Stay in 37c” I was very surprised that the condo was better in person than on the internet. Everything was great except for the bed. The bed was hard and very uncomfortable. It should be replaced asap. It was quiet and clean and all the items you need to survive on vacation. We would definitely stay at the Purple Parrot again, maybe not in 37c though.

“Beautiful and "home away from home" feel!” The pool area was breathtaking. :)) We enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen, and the convenience of the washer and dryer to wash beach and bath towels was wonderful. The condo was spacious and very comfortable. Th beds were extremely comfortable, and had plush linens and pillows. The carpet throughput the upstairs could stand to go...and the tub in the master would be tricky and uncomfortable for some...also had mildew stains... Overall really great stay

“Fun time” This was our second time stay at the Purple Pelican. We had a great experience the first time and wanted to bring the family and friends back. Everyone had a great time however during our stay the bar and restaurant were closed down due to disagreements with the Homeowners association. One of the biggest reason that we booked here were for the pool, bar and restaurant--while the pool is still wonderful there is less of an appeal when you have to leave to find food and drink. I hope that the Pelican will figure it all out and reopen. I still love the cottages and the pool but will have to rethink a future stay without the other amenities

“Great” Great room, first night but next few nights people upstairs very loud all night long and did not get much sleep.

“Wonderful time” Our family of four enjoyed every moment of our week long stay in 8ad Island Paradise at the Purple Parrot. The condo had everything we needed and was very comfortable.

“We will definately return to the exact same spot next year...I a” We spent 7 fabulous nights at the Purple Parrot in the Perdido Breeze 9ad. I simply cannot say enough about the resort, the condo and our time there - There were a few things missing which were published online, such as beach chairs, but hey, you can't complain much about just that. After grocery shopping and a light, late meal, I hung out on the patio/porch and watched the little green frogs play on the patio. We slept very well (note - we did hear the people upstairs, and planned for that by bringing our own fan as a noise buffer) and were off and running the next morning. It would take me a day to list all that we did while there, but I recommend the following: parasailing, go to the public pier at Pensacola Beach, shop at Joe Patti's seafood market(you will not believe the prices), go the Wharf in Orange Beach and eat at the Villaggio Grill (we splurged for our anniversary dinner) and go have oysters on the Perdido Drive "strip"... Neither of us are big beach fans, and found the public beach just down the road to be a bit "rocky", but on our last day learned of Johnson Beach - which is supposed to be smooth and not full of "knock you down" waves - so we can't wait to go there next year! I did a lot of research before booking at the Purple Parrot and read lots of great reviews and lots of complaints. It is homey and has a very "local" feel to it. The pool is stellar, walking around at night was pleasant, and the noise level was not bad at all after 9pm. They have the basics here - it's not gonna be stocked like your house. Read their tips for what to pack or consider going to Wal-Mart. You will need dishsoap, trashbags and toilet paper. Just think ahead, and when you arrive, check out what is there. I made sure to look for things like a tea pitcher, a wine opener, measuring spoons, etc. Bring an umbrella! We will be back.

“Great” Location is great. It put us in the middle of every where we wanted to go..We spent time in both states...Beach area at park was best I'D ever been at.Peachy keen was perfect...Had Evert thing we needed or wanted...Oh, one thing missing, A pot big enough for the crab legs we bought to cook that night. Dinner ended up great and enjoyed eating them on our screened in porch watching it rain...We loved it.

“Very Comfortable!!” I'm an owner of another unit here at Purple Parrot. My unit was booked so we decided to stay at another. It was a wonderfull unit. Very cozy, comfortable, and had everything that we needed. The mattress was incredible! Like sleeping on a cloud. The pull out sofa, was also nice for the kiddos. Highly recomend for a family of 4 or even a couples, getaway.
