A fully furnished, Interior Designer designed ground floor apartment, with many windows, in a spacious 1893 Victorian Home with a separate entrance. Located in tree lined residential neighborhood.
Alameda, and island in the San Francisco by, 3 miles wide by 5 miles long, was once the elite beach resort playground for San Francisco in the late 1800’s. Their summer homes were constructed in the grand style, many with ballrooms on the lower level. Hence the name ‘Gold Coast’.

Seattle. WaBoxwood feels like a home away from home!

My husband and I spent a Thanksgiving week at Boxwood and enjoyed every moment of our experience there. As soon as we walked thru the gate and opened the door, both of us knew we were in for a special time.
The interior is beautiful and inviting. The location to the City and Wine Country which we were headed to for events is so convienent. Plus the neiborhood is just great for walking and there are tennis courts near by, which are important for us.
We can't wait for our next visit to the Bay area, and our stay at Boxwood.

I satyed here with a friend for a week to be near my family for my father's funeral.
We had plenty of privacy but had good contact to our helpful hosts. They are informed about the area and provided everything we needed. It was a great place for two and accessible to all Bay area points of interest by car. Grocery shopping and a mall close by and plenty of parks and beach areas for joggigng or walks. -

We spent a whole month at Boxwood House, and it felt like home. The owners were most gracious, and the place reflected their interior-designer, elegant style.
The bed was incredibly comfortable and the "black-out" draperies allowed a peaceful, long rest.The park and Crown Beach are just around the corner with a view of the San Francisco skyline, just across the Bay.
The garden that surrounds and the neighborhood are peaceful and delightful. We would stay with these wonderful people in the San Francisco Bay area again and again. -

Boxwood was recommended to us from friends that had stayed there before and "loved it". From the moment we drove up to this amazing Victorian Home and realized there was a cozy cottage behind a beautiful private gate on the property, that was our home for a week, well it was thrilling.
For my wife and I this was the perfect romantic, and easy place to enjoy our stay close to the city, wine county, and friends we wanted to spend time with in the Bay area.
We have traveled in many places here and abroad. Boxwood met all of our expectations.
When we visit again, this will be our home away from home.
