Somerset is a unique historic property with large verandahs and decks overlooking the town and harbour of Albany WA. It's an easy walk to restaurants and shopping so just leave the car at home. There are 6 bedrooms, 1 king, queen, doubles and 2 singles sleeping up to 12 on request. There are 2 bathrooms and toiltes on each level of the house. This house is ideal for a couple of familes on special occasions or for medium groups wanting to holiday together. Somerset is located in Spencer Street Albany, which is part of the historic and orginal location of the historic Albany. If you love unique and historic landscapes you will love this area. There is heaps of parking on and off the property, but you can leave your car at home too because you can walk to lots of attractions especially restuarants and shopping which people love in Albany. The fabulous Earl of Spencer is on the next street corner. Come into the centre of Albany and turn left at the town hall and second street to Spencer Street Somerset. Welcome hope to see you soon!

PerthSomerset Lodge is a real gem in a magic place
Left on 06/04/2012 for a stay in February 2012
We have been holidaying at Somerset Lodge for the past three years. Initially we went for a week but enjoyed our stay so much that we now take it for 2 weeks. We walk in and it feels like we're home. It is a house full of interest and it has obviously been restored with great care and thought. The location is great. It is within walking distance of the main street which offers numerous cafes and restaurants. It is also possible to walk to the Saturday farmers market. The only problem being you buy so much wonderful produce you cant carry it!
At night we wander down to a wonderful old fashioned 'pub' on the corner and have a drink in the garden. We also spend evenings sitting on our balcony watching the amazing sunsets.
We can't imagine a summer now without a visit to Somerset Lodge.
