3+ Bedrooms - Sleeps 5+: Family sized home with stunning views, set on edge of traditional Lecrin Valley village - equidistant (40 km) from historic Granada and Costa Tropical.

Families with children are very welcome at Buena Vista, a house on the edge of the lower barrio of Albunuelas overlooking the orange and olive groves of the Rio Santo Gorge. From the terraces you can enjoy the view and watch eagles soaring overhead. There are many walks from the village and escorted walks or horse riding can be arranged. The house sleeps 5 easily with 3+ bedrooms, two bathrooms, satellite TV, a wonderful large terrace looking across the Rio Sant...o Gorge and the Sierra de Albunuelas, and a further, upper terrace with far-reaching views along the valley. The open plan living area has ample, comfortable seating, a wood burning stove, a separate dining area and a well equipped kitchen with larder and washing machine. There is a small walled patio outside the kitchen with a dining table, but most guests will want to remain on one of the two terraces to make the most of the views. Car access to the door is not possible but parking is very close by in the square.Every effort is made to make this a home from home. Beach towels are available. There is a selection of toys and games for all ages. A travel cot is kept in the house together with a booster seat which fastens on to the dining chairs. There are no stair gates but improvisations can be made. There are a number of electric fans for use in summer and electric heaters for the winter months.

If you wish to explore Andalusia, this is an excellent location. The property is within easy reach of the bays and beaches of the Costa Tropical, which is not overbuilt or too crowded, the beautiful Alpujarras, the Sierra Nevada and the historical city of Granada. Granada Airport is 40 minutes away and Malaga airport is an easy drive of less than two hours through spectacular scenery.
The village of Albuñuelas is picturesque, overlooking the Rio Santo gorge. There are many lovely walks along and around the valley, which is surrounded by orange, lemon and olive groves giving it a lush green appearance all the year round. The village has narrow streets and an attractive church. There are three shops, a bank, a pharmacy and medical centre, and it is visited by bread and fish vans daily from which you can purchase fresh goods. The village has four tapas bars and a simple restaurant. You can find other restaurants in the nearby villages of Melegis and Restobal.
The Lecrin valley has been described in the UK Independent newspaper as one of the loveliest locations in Southern Spain. American Vogue described it as the "new Tuscany", and it offers a window on traditional Spain while still offering everything the holidaymaker needs.
Depending on the season, there are fantastic walks, horse riding, and cycling in the valley and beaches, water parks, golf, water sports and skiing nearby.
