Family Time
Lincoln, NEPeaceful Family Getaway
Left on 08/23/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Our family has spent years staying in Estes Park so this was our first stay in allenspark. It was perfect! The view from the rocks was gorgeous and peaceful. We enjoyed being secluded and away from the crowds. Estes Park was a quick easy drive from the cabin and Wild Basin was nearly across the road. We simply had it all. Our family's favorite activity was our 2 hour horseback ride in the mountains! We std thankful we chose the local stables in allenspark.
The cabin rooms were a bit small and that was okay with us. We were there for quality family time in the beautiful outdoors of Rocky Mountain Park and the National Forests.

We had the best family time here. Our two young boys loved the loft that was just for them. We enjoyed the rocks for climbing just outside our front door, and the fire was nice to cozy up by after our hike in the rain. Amazing family memories here and would highly encourage friends to stay here.

The cabin was rustic with all the ammenities needed. It was also close enough to Estes Park, but was far enough away to give us the seclusion we were looking for!

This was a great getaway from video games, tv, cell phones, and the noise of the Denver Metro area. The kids had a blast hiking every morning after breakfast, and playing in their loft. The adults enjoyed playing board games and making smores and hot cocoa for the kiddos. Thanks it was a great getaway and made for a warm memory!

MissouriQuiet getaway in the mountains
Left on 09/12/2009 for a stay in July 2009
My family enjoyed the McCoy's Blarney Castle. If your looking for a get away from tv, cell phones, and the hustle and bustle of everyday life, this is your place to stay. The kitchen was equipped well and we used the outdoor grill almost every night. The fireplace was easy to just fire up and get the chill out of the air when we came home from a long day of hiking or in the morning before breakfast. Our only complaint was the bathroom. Our family of 4 couldn't shower consecutively due to lack of hot water. Also, the note that encouraged us not to flush the toilet after each use was a little disturbing considering we spent 16 years teaching our kids to do so! All in all, we enjoyed our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay in the cabin. It was nice, quiet and cozy. Thoroughly enjoyable.
The only issued we really had was lots of big black ants in the bathroom.
Also, not enough curtain coverage for privacy at night.
