      Rustic getaway!

Left on 07/30/2012 for a stay in July 2011

It depends upon what you're looking for. For us, it was great. Rustic and relatively secluded and a place to crash after exploring and hiking the Rockies. Kitchen fully supplied. Tv got good reception. Comfortable but not plush. Primarily it's a summer cottage or cabin, and that's what we wanted. No complaints.

      Great Place!

Left on 02/03/2010 for a stay in October 2009

This was our second time in this little cabin; we love the river, the seclusion of the little area, and the location; it's so close to the national park and Estes Park! The furniture in the cabin is getting a little worn and dirty, and it was frustrating that the fireplace wouldn't work, but otherwise we loved it. The new hammock was very nice!

      Early Fall at Pinebrook

Left on 02/03/2010 for a stay in September 2009

We loved it? My wife and I were looking for a more rustic getaway. Colorado is our 2nd home, and we never get tired of it. The cabin was great--very roomy, esp. for 2-4. Rustic? Even the dining table slants down the hillside! Very well equipped. The fireplace and outdoor grill by the creek were great. We had some guests stop by for a few nights and they described it as the best vacation they had ever had. We're going back this year.

      Great Location

Left on 02/02/2010 for a stay in September 2009

This cabin was an old log type with updates in the kitchen and bath. The location to RMNP and other wilderness areas was perfect for our daily hiking trips. The area by the stream was great for cooking out, hanging by the fire and soaking our tired piggys in the cool water. The only negative at all was the fact that we were two couples and the living room did not have a pull-out couch, so our friends ended up sleeping on the couch and floor with the matresses from the bunk bed in the only bedroom. The regualr bed in the bedroom was fine for two of us, but would not have been for my 6'4" friend and his wife. Great trip.

Thank you so much for your review. Pinebrook is glad to hear you had a good time at Riverside. The screened sleeping porch has a very comfortable queen pull out sofa. I'm so sorry you didn't see that. It was noted on the web site.

Wonderful Rustic Cabin Right on The River!

Left on 09/10/2009 for a stay in July 2009

We loved our stay at Riverside Retreat. Staying there is just like coming home to our own personal cabin. Loved it! Perfect for families. From the American Flag flying at the front door, to the tire swing, to catching a fish on the 2nd cast, and too many more delightful things to mention them all. We could not have been happier. We had such a relaxing time, we totally lost track of the days.

I almost forgot ~ What a wonderful view from the master bedroom wall of windows. Wow! I lay there one morning watching a chipmonk travel in the upper branches of the tall spruces, going back and forth, what a busy little guy he was.

As for the beds ~ all where very comfy!

If you have never stayed in a rustic cabin before, you need to know that this is not like a 5 star resort. Wood floors can be sloped, window screens are the old metal type screen. Windows are wood frames and may need a little paint. For people who only like white-glove type places, this may not be you, but if you want to go back in time, kick back and relax in a well equipped tidy, spacious cabin, you will love this place.
