Love the privacy and intimacy of a little cabin. Quiet, clean and comfortable. Great value, beautiful surroundings. I would travel out of my way to avoid staying in a big-box hotel.

The staff at Three Rivers were awesome and super friendly from the start, our cabin was super cute, clean and furnished well. The cabins are perfectly located in-between Gunnison and Crested Butte should you have to run in to town. The drive up the canyon from the resort is amazing too!!! I can not wait to come back!!!

Cabin 8 is perfect for one person looking for a warm place to sleep and cook. The location was awesome for fishing the Taylor C&R; and getting to the Gunny.

I had the pleasure of staying at three rivers during a recent fall fishing trip to colorado. Everyone that I dealt with at the resort while both planning, and traveling made this a very positive experience. Tons of prime trout water is located within short distance of the resort, and the fall colors were spectacular. All in all, a wonderful experience.

We have stayed at this resort before but were in a riverside chalet. We booked later this year so we had to "settle" on a small cabin not on the river. We were quite satisfied with the accomodations. Pleasantly surprised to find a tv in room (owner said they just put them in the cabins the week before so was not on website yet). Very convenient to walk to the restaurant/bar/store and was never disturbed by any noises from that area at any time of day or night. Each cabin has 2 parking spots but we had trailer also. They were very nice about letting us put it in the big parking area all week. Very clean laundry facilities. The food is very good. I recommend the Death Fries! The only thing I was not 100% satisfied with was that there was no ceiling fan in the cabin. I purchased a small one to sit in the window for a breeze. Otherwise, we were quite content in the cabin for the week. I would recommend Three Rivers to anyone wanting to stay close to the mountains but not in an expensive condo farther up the road.

Cabin 8 was small but it was very nicely done inside and reasonably modern in its interior compared to other rustic looking cabins we've stayed in in the almont area. The management and their employees are very customer focused and friendly, and go out of their way to be pleasant. These folks know how to run a business. I also liked the "rules" they have in place to maintain some peace and quiet for the guests staying there.
We only needed a one night stay. It seems they require a minimum 2 night stay. This limitation resulted in our having to pay an additional $40 room cleaning fee, which I view as over the top. This made our room stay for about 10 hours $115.00 ($75 for the room, $40 to clean it, over 50% of the basic room fee). We think this is too much, but since beggars couldn't be choosers at the moment we reluctantly paid $115 for a room that was extremely small...bed and a bathroom/shower. -

We stayed at Three Rivers Resort in July at Cabin #8. It was the end of a two week excursion through Colorado. The accomodations were perfect, just what we needed. I was concerned that we were near the restaurant and the noise would keep us up. The cabin was surprisingly quiet. The only problem was my fault. I thought I had reserved the cabin for three nights and I had only done it for two nights. When we came back on the third day there was a note on the door telling us of my error. We immediately went to the manager and he graciously allowed to pay for another night. He said, as luck would have it, the cabin was open for that evening and there would be no problem. He did say that if someone else had reserved it they would have moved our things out - as well they should have. The confusion was 100% my fault, but they were very gracious and understanding about it. The Resort as a whole was wonderful and was exactly what we were looking for at the end of a spectacular mountain vacation. I would go back to Three Rivers in a heartbeat then next time we are in the area.

Three Rivers Resort is situated at the confluence of 3 small mountain rivers in southern Colorado. Within steps are rafting, fishing, rock climbing, hiking, biking, horsebacking, ATV excursions, photo op opportunities and a good bar and grill. We stayed in an original, small cabin and it was truly rustic, made liveable by the addition of a nice bathroom and modern kitchen. A single wooden kitchen chair and two bar stools were the sole places to sit, causing us to buy 2 folding canvas chairs to use during our 3-day stay. Other cabin options were modern pre-fabs, afforded more space, a TV and stream-side location, but jumped the per-night cost to more than $175, compared to our $90 rate. Neither provided fresh towels during a 3-day stay. Food was good and prices reasonable, including $1 beer specials, but activity charges were more than some neaar-by competitors. All the activities make it a bustling resort, so get a stream-side location if solitidude is a goal. We had a great time with the dozen family members in our group, and the kids were always engaged and happy. We would meet them again there in a heartbeat, but just the two of us would opt for a more secluded, less expensive place.

When my wife and son went out of town I decided to take a brief fishing trip in Almont, CO. I wanted a fairly inexpensive place to stay where I could get a good night sleep and have access to some good fishing. The cabin I stayed in was $65 per night. It was relatively clean. The bedding was not as pristine as a hotel, but I didn't expect it to be. The cabin was essentially a room with a bed, fridge, oven, kitchen sink and bathroom. The room was warm, comfortable and I cooked all my food there. The bathroom was very clean. Overall a good stay for a single person looking to do some good fishing.

HUGE BATHROOM WAS A BIG PLUS. EVERYTHING WORKED PERFECTLY: STOVETOP BURNERS, BIG FRIDGE ~ HEATERS FOR BOTH THE STUDIO AND THE BATHROOM !-! VERY IMPORTANT TO THIS FLORIDA CRACKER :) ONE REQUEST FOR FUTURE REFERENCE - MISSED THE MICROWAVE (OTHER CABINS MY FRIENDS STAYED IN HAD MICROWAVES BUT THEY WERE BIGGER CABINS) BUT UTILIZED POTS, PANS, DISHES. THE ASSOCIATES OF 3 RIVERS OBVIOUSLY TAKE GREAT PRIDE IN THEIR PROPERTY. LUV ALL THE EMPLOYEES I MET.

My husband and I found the accommodations very enjoyable. During Labor day weekend we had a booth at the Peoples' Fair in Crested Butte. It was difficult to find a room that was not over $125. I happened on your website by accident through one of the online booking agents. The price was RIGHT!!!!! We try to cut our overhead when working the festivals. The room was very clean. I enjoyed not having to compete with a TV. NO TV!! Yepee!! The thing I liked best was after hours a note was left on the office door with a map. When we headed toward the cabin, it was dark except for the light on the front of the cabin. I felt welcome. Unfortunately we did not have an opportunity to eat at the restaurant. Maybe next time. I am certain we will stay at Three Rivers again.

I enjoy getting to 3 Rivers every fall. This year I was only able to come up for one day and by myself, but your place is a quiet repit while enjoying my favorite time of the year to fish the Taylot. Dry fly fishing was superb and the weather is always the best in the early fall.
I could not believe that I had a package yesterday from 3 Rivers with some medication I accidentally left in my cabin. You guys are the BEST!

Yes they do look really cute in the pictures but trust me they?re not. I drove over 15 hours (Dallas TX to Almont Co) arrived tired, hungry and ready to just get out of the car. When you arrive at any other hotel or resort you expect that all you have to do is unpack, do some light cleaning and then go to bed or go out to eat! NO not with this cabin, 3 hours later 2 rolls of paper towels, 1 gallon of bleach, a broom, mop and Windex it was livable. I am not joking here I had to move every piece of furniture because there was dog hair, dog pee and people hair everywhere. I don?t think the cleaning people ever swept or moped under the bed since the place opened. The stove is gas and had a small leak. The dining table had dust and spider webs all over it, on the subject of spiders the cabin is full of them. When we arrived there was a young couple saying in cabin 7 and when we woke up that next morning we notice that they were moving out, before they left we went over to talk to them she told us that when she woke up there was a black widow on her face. Needless to say I will never rent from Three Rivers Resort ever again. You might think you?re getting a nice cabin for your money but your not.

Manager
As general manager of the resort, I wonder why this was not brought to our attention immediately. We pride ourselves on cleanliness and I have not had any complaints of this nature regarding cleanliness. We have front desk staff, housekeeping staff and maintenance staff available during office hours and then staff on call when the office is closed to take care of any guest issues. We do not have black widows here but since I live on the resort property, I know that spiders are abundant no matter what type of house or cabin you have. This type of cabin is our most basic and rustic cabin. If this guest wanted something more on the magnitude of a home, we have those as well. Nearly every guest who chooses this basic type of cabin loves the quaint and rustic nature of it. A recent guest called it "refreshing" to see that there were still such cute cabins available for lodging. We are very, very responsive to any sort of cleaning issues that arise. If this had been brought to our attention, we would have responded immediately with a full cleaning team.

Cabin bed was alittle smaller than the picture or diagram describes (wide angle lens?). There were some yellow jacket wasps in the cabin. It was annoying to have some young girl at the cabin door 5 minutes before 11am, telling us we needed to get out by 11. Front staff didn't seem very informed about the fishing, which we found odd.

We came, for the first time to the Crested Butte area, primarily to see the wildflowers we had read so much about. We looked for an inexpensive resort that was close to the focus area, comfortable and affordable. We found it at Cabin 8!
Folks were helpful and friendly.
There is a problem with the light above the bed. It's ready to fall off the wall. Minor problem.

My experience at Three Rivers Resort was very nice.
It was so relaxing to be in the mountains at a cabin that I wish I could call my own. The cabin was well maintained and clean. The resort is located in a good spot so that a person has a lot of options on where to visit other locations without driving to far. I hope to be coming back there soon. I would like to thank the people that are working there they all were very nice. Looks like to me that they do an excellent job on keeping the area well clean and good shape. I have one complaint that is really not a complaint but maybe the resort could provide coffee in the rooms with the coffee maker. since I screwed up bought some gross instant coffee. -
