We thought we'd try one of the older cabins last summer but will go back to the newer ones next time. futon in living room was very uncomfortable to sit on & watch tv. The mousetrap behind the fridge had a mouse in it every morning. We like staying right next to river, so location was fine.Just didn't enjoy it as much.
Have no complaints about service, didn't ever request any. -

We stayed in cabin 14. My husband and I enjoyed this cabin. While it is older, we did not have any problems. It is a nice size and has room on the outside also and a nice little covered porch. The location is easy to get to. You can see the river from the porch. The kitchen and bathroom had everything that we needed. The wooden table is a nice size. We were happy with our stay and would come back again.

We stayed two nights at cabin 14, after tent camping for three at One Mile camp ground. Needless to say we were anxious to shower and rest in real beds with four walls! Love being by the soothing sounds of the river. Windows open letting in the fresh mountain aire. We had maintenance come light the heater for morning. He was quick and very friendly. The young man with newborn twin girls. Hope to visit y'all again soon. Thank you for providing a pleasant stay.

My family has been coming to Three Rivers Resort for the better part of 10 years. We've always typically came with several people and stayed in the Chalets on the River, but this time with just my wife and I Cabin 14 was great. One Queen bed, with a good size refrigerator/freezer, stove, oven was perfect. Open your window at night to hear the river and for the price you can't find much better. Great staff at Three Rivers always friendly and ready to help in any way they can. We will definitely go back hopefully with kids of our own next time.

Cabin 14 is right next to river- nice to hear it at night but could have used fans for daytime heat whcih was unusual for that time of year- nights do cool down.. Cabin was clean with decent kitchen- would recommend for rustic getaway- not for the luxury minded- hiking, fishing and lots of outdoor activity in the area.

We stayed two nites in a 1 bedroom cabin right on the Taylor River. We combined Rafting on the Tayor which was a great time and with a experienced guide. The aspen trees were at their peak colors which fabulous We definitely got our monies worth.

For just a one night stay, this cabin was completely functional. I understand that "rustic" indicates a throwback to bygone times but the holes in the '60s era paneling was a disappointment. I think the single most important appointment that I would expect of rental lodging at this price point would be the bed and I found this unit's bed to be uncomfortable and unable to accommodate two grown adults comfortably. I ended up moving to the futon in the living room in the middle of the night because every movement was amplified and would disturb my significant other.

Manager
Thank you for your feedback and comments. We will definitely take these under consideration and hope you will give us a try again. Cabin 14 is one of our older very rustic cabins. We try to notify people of this when they reserve. Most of our cabins are new and very modern, some even very upscale. It all depends on what you are looking for. We price shop often and feel our rates are competitive for the area and for what you are getting (kitchen, yard, fire pit, picnic table, resort amenities) but cabin 14 is always on our list for continual improvements. Thank you again for taking the time to do this review.

Kansas CityCabin 14 Whoas and Pros
Left on 10/26/2009 for a stay in October 2009
Cabin 14 from the outside is cute with a rustic appeal, it has a small porch,
picnic table, fire pit, BBQ grill and is just a short walk from Taylor river.
You walk in the door and and you instantly see that this cabin is nothing
special, worn out carpet, cheap paneling which has holes knocked in it in
places. A cheap futon, chair and table, it is also furnished with a frig., stove
and dishes/pans/silverware/coffee pot - seemed adequate. Through the
door to the small bedroom - same cheap paneling and trim, dresser and
queen bed that is uncomfortable (pits to the middle, everything rolls to the
middle).
Through the next door to the bathroom- this room is a dump, the sink is
bearly hanging on the wall no room for your stuff when cleaning up. The
hot water heater just sitting in the corner and has no down pipe on the
safety relief (accident waiting happen and not code in most places), the
shower drips constantly and the shower area is disgusting, peeling paint,
unsealed makeshift trim.
There is very little upkeep on this cabin, the handle on the broiler drawer is
broke, a small shelf in the kitchen is missing screws and is ready to fall off.
It could be an OK place if they would spend a little time and money on this
cabin. The smoke alarm is right by the stove and goes off every time it is
turned on.
If they would provide a few more amenities like coffee, a microwave and a
TV (a small cheap TV with a few local channels so that I could see the news
and weather would be nice. Most people staying her are doing outdoor stuff
hunting/fishing/hiking/etc and would like to know what the weather is
going to be for the next day)
WIFI didn't work most of the time nor available in the cabin, Verizon's
network is the only accessible (thank God I have Verizon).
I have stayed at many cabins of this type and price range and this one is one
of the worst. I would not stay at cabin 14 again or recommend it to others.
However, some of the other cabins on the property seemed much nicer. -

I've been staying in the cabins at Three Rivers since I was a little girl. The memories are wonderful every time we come back. There is still such a small, hometown feel about the place. It is nice to see the old cabins are still maintained, as well as newer, more modern cabins being built. That way we will have a wide choice of cabin size, price and amenities whenever we want to visit. We appreciated being able to use the hot tub as well.

BEAVER, PENNSYLVANIATHE CARPET NEEDED TO BE REPLACED
Left on 09/30/2009 for a stay in September 2009
I THINK I STAYED IN THE ONLY CABIN THAT WAS NOT UPDATED. THE CARPET HAD A LOT OF STAINS, & IT WAS COMING APART AT THE FRONT DOOR. THE SHOWER HAD BLACK SPOTS AROUND THE UPPER WALLS; THE CABIN WAS CLEAN, & MY HUSBAND HAD NO PROBLEMS. I JUST THOUGHT IT WAS A LITTLE ROUGH FOR ME. (A CITY GIRL:) IT GOT COLD AND WE HAD TO USE THE HEATER & I THINK SINCE IT IS AN OLDER ONE IT MADE A LOT OF NOISE.
THE SERVICE WAS GREAT; WE LIKED THAT OUR CABIN HAD CABLE HOOK UP
WE WILL COME BACK. I JUST WON'T STAY IN CABIN #14
THANK YOU!

I did not appreciate some of the policys of the resort. At the final group dinner your associate and i do not know his name came to us with a very demanding attitude about paying for the use of the area. This was uncalled for. Also I purchased an expensive beer planning to take it to the dinner, I was told i could not remove it from the bar so had to leave it in the bar, this is also uncalled for. Cabin 14 was not upgraded as many were. I should have been informed of that fact at the time i reserved it. It was not nearly the quality of many other cabins.
The white water raft trip was very professionally directed. My wife fell out of the raft and was immediately pulled out of the water. The guids did an excellent job making the trip a great experience. Thank you for that. -

Upon arriving to 3 Rivers, we were treated warmly and with great courtesy.
The staff always friendly and helpful.
Our room was pleasant clean as well as the carpet. Everything we needed was
at hand.
The river outside the window offers an extremely soothing feeling to the
nights sleep
What we liked least? Not long enough stay.
We will see you next year.

Pampa, TexasOur stay in Cabin 14 at Three Rivers Resort
Left on 07/22/2009 for a stay in July 2009
We really enjoyed our stay.
The service was super as has been the past three years. Because of family not being able to join us, we had to downsize for a four bedroom to a one bedroom. The process went really well. Mark was wonderful to deal with and very informative as to what was available and the dates.
The cabin was a nice size for two people. The bathroom was larger than in the two & four bedroom cabins.
We really liked the location. We have stayed in 18 and 22, so we have been from one end to the other and in the middle.
Everything was provided as necessary to spend the week.
The only two things we found that we think would enhance 14 is to add a deck on the back or on the side so you could perhaps see the river. The porch is too small to sit on. The second thing we think would be helpful is to have a teflon coated skillet so the food would not stick.
We would highly recommend any of the cabins at Three Rivers. We have always chosen to stay close to the river, and this has worked well for us.
We are thankful for the service we receive and for the professionalism in handling reservations and nay problems we might have. -
