Cabins 31-38 are identical styles. These standard "mountain chalets" offer all the amenities of a cabin in a modern and compact package. They are perfect units for families. There is a private bedroom downstairs and a low ceiling (4 feet high) sleeping loft upstairs with mattresses on the floor. Kids love to have their own space to crawl around up here. The kitchen has modern appliances and the vaulted ceiling gives the living area a roomy feel. Outside there is a large covered deck with patio furniture.
*Note of caution for small children: the steps g...oing up to the loft are steep and narrow and could present a falling hazard. The railing in the upper sleeping area is low enough for a toddler or small child to be able to climb over, presenting a dangerous falling hazard. If you have small children, a gate for the loft stairwell is recommended.

Fold out double futon in living room

Our cabin was perfect for the 4 of us (2 adults & 2 kids). The kids loved the loft area to sleep and hang. We cooked 2 night using the kitchen and grill, all worked great! My daughter really enjoyed hanging out at the playground and meeting other children there too! The only thing I would of liked better is if there was more space in between each cabin for privacy! Otherwise we had a great time! We also enjoyed the smokehouse restaurant on premise, the wait staff is very cool & friendly!

First I need to start by saying we were lucky enough to be able to have an early check in. We were in the area and decided to stop by just to see if we could check in. The service desk was wonderful and said it was perfectly fine and the cabin was available and ready for us. We normally stay in Cabin 26 or 27 when we stay at Three Rivers. However this trip, neither cabin was available for our stay so we ended up booking cabin 37. Even though it's a modular and it isn't as 'authentic' cabin as we like, it was a great stay. Plenty of storage in the bedroom for the entire family of 4, clothing and suitcases. The only down side to this cabin is the firepit. We're used to a personal firepit and with the modulars and Rv's, there is a shared firepit. We were still able to enjoy a fire and even met quite a few other 'campers'.
We love staying at Three Rivers and this trip was just one more on our coujt!

This is the third year we have stayed at Three Rivers and again we had a wonderful time. Three Rivers is a great location for touring/sightseeing the area. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. Three Rivers is a great location for us to visit camping friends at One Mile.

We really enjoyed our stay at Three Rivers! It is right between Gunnison and Crested Butte, two great towns to visit! The staff was very friendly and very helpful. They booked us a Horseback ride with Fantasy Ranch, and it was one of the highlights of our trip! We only stayed 3 nights, but there is plenty to do if you wanted to stay the whole week, which we might just do next time. On a side note, we took a drive up the back road that runs past Three Rivers @ dusk one night and saw a Mountain Lion, they can't really take credit for this, but it was really cool!!

The cabin and resort were clean and very presentable. I felt like the owners need to focus on there employee/ customer interactions. I was on vacation and hate to feel rushed and pushed. There were several times in a three day period that I felt they were more concerned with getting my money then to ensure I had a great experience. The golden rule is If I have a great experience I will spend more money and be happy to refer people. On the Rafting topic ask for Chris as your guide, he is great! Thanks Chris you are who my family will remember! Read more
I would be very open to discussing with you the specific concerns you had with specific staff members. We pride ourselves on excellent service and most of our reviews positively reflect the great service we deliver. We are always open to improvements and it would be helpful to know specifically what needs to be improved. Thank you for your comments and feel free to contact me: Jen Stevens, Resort Manager
It was a very relaxing week filled with fun activities.

We own a similar unit so it seemed very familiar. I would recommend you include a mop, blender, scissors and tablespoons for serving. It would be nice if the area could be sprinkled as it was very dusty with all the traffic in and out. The staff members were very friendly and helpful. It was nice having the little shops and restaurant on site. It was centrally located for trips to Gunnison, Crested Butte and the Taylor River. Of course the construction on the road to the Taylor was frustrating but that won't last forever.

The Cabin was missing some much needed essential like a plunger and a dust pan! The BBQ took forever to heat up and even then our steaks were raw. When our toilet got plugged on Wednesday and we asked for a plunger we never got one!!! By the time we left on Friday it was disgusting. Our family had a reunion there (157 of us) and we were kicked out of the Pavilion by 10 pm!!! It was outrageous especially considering how many thousands we have spent at that resort (we've had 4 reunions there). We will not be coming back again. And we are all so glad.

We rented this cabin for a small family get-together. The cabin was clean, comfortable, the perfect size and well equiped for our long weekend together. The setting was beautiful and we enjoyed evenings in the hot tub.

We took our 4 year olds and fishing gear and enjoyed our stay. The cabin was very clean and the kids loved the loft. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The resort was close enough to restaurants and other attractions to keep everyone in the family entertained. We are already trying to decide when to come back.

As usual, our cabin was very clean and comfortable. There has never been a problem with cigarette smoke. We had short notice so we had to stay at Lost Canyon Resort (?) for the first 3 days we were there. That place is a mess. They have no cupboards for your food, the drawers for clothing had cigarette ashes in them and everything in there including the so called clean towels smell like you are drying off with a rag that was used to clean a dirty ash tray. We will never stay there again but we will always try to get our reservations earlier so we can stay at Three Rivers.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, with 1 exception.
First, I would say 90% of hotels/ motels/ b&b's have AC. While true that the temps drop down enough in Almont to not need Air conditioning, at minimum, a fan would be useful to keep cooler in the heat of the day, or to bring in the cooler air into the cabin in the evenings.
No fan.... and initially after asking for one at the front desk, the answer was " sorry, we don't have.."
later that day , a fan was brought by.... an appreciated gesture.
I only think there should automatically be a fan at minimum in every rental unit in every hotel, etc. I believe they cost about $20 each for a window fan.
