Description from the manager

"Royal Stimulator"

(Every cabin is named after a fly pattern.)

Cabins 31-38 are identical styles. These standard "mountain chalets" offer all the amenities of a cabin in a modern and compact package. They are perfect units for families. There is a private bedroom downstairs and a low ceiling (4 feet high) sleeping loft upstairs with mattresses on the floor. Kids love to have their own space to crawl around up here. The kitchen has modern appliances and the vaulted ceiling gives the living area a roomy feel. Outside there is a large covered deck with patio furniture.

      Great place to stay!

Left on 09/19/2012 for a stay in September 2012

We really enjoyed our stay at Three Rivers! It is right between Gunnison and Crested Butte, two great towns to visit! The staff was very friendly and very helpful. They booked us a Horseback ride with Fantasy Ranch, and it was one of the highlights of our trip! We only stayed 3 nights, but there is plenty to do if you wanted to stay the whole week, which we might just do next time. On a side note, we took a drive up the back road that runs past Three Rivers @ dusk one night and saw a Mountain Lion, they can't really take credit for this, but it was really cool!!

      Three Rivers Cabin 37

Left on 07/18/2012 for a stay in July 2012

The cabin and resort were clean and very presentable. I felt like the owners need to focus on there employee/ customer interactions. I was on vacation and hate to feel rushed and pushed. There were several times in a three day period that I felt they were more concerned with getting my money then to ensure I had a great experience. The golden rule is If I have a great experience I will spend more money and be happy to refer people. On the Rafting topic ask for Chris as your guide, he is great! Thanks Chris you are who my family will remember!

I would be very open to discussing with you the specific concerns you had with specific staff members. We pride ourselves on excellent service and most of our reviews positively reflect the great service we deliver. It was a very relaxing week filled with fun activities.

Left on 06/28/2012 for a stay in June 2012

We own a similar unit so it seemed very familiar. I would recommend you include a mop, blender, scissors and tablespoons for serving. It would be nice if the area could be sprinkled as it was very dusty with all the traffic in and out. The staff members were very friendly and helpful. It was nice having the little shops and restaurant on site. It was centrally located for trips to Gunnison, Crested Butte and the Taylor River. Of course the construction on the road to the Taylor was frustrating but that won't last forever.

      No bueno

Left on 08/26/2011 for a stay in August 2011

The Cabin was missing some much needed essential like a plunger and a dust pan! The BBQ took forever to heat up and even then our steaks were raw. When our toilet got plugged on Wednesday and we asked for a plunger we never got one!!! By the time we left on Friday it was disgusting. Our family had a reunion there (157 of us) and we were kicked out of the Pavilion by 10 pm!!! It was outrageous especially considering how many thousands we have spent at that resort (we've had 4 reunions there). We will not be coming back again. And we are all so glad.

      Ideal Setting

Left on 09/30/2009 for a stay in September 2009

We rented this cabin for a small family get-together. The cabin was clean, comfortable, the perfect size and well equiped for our long weekend together. The setting was beautiful and we enjoyed evenings in the hot tub.

      fun with kids

Left on 08/13/2009 for a stay in August 2009

We took our 4 year olds and fishing gear and enjoyed our stay. The cabin was very clean and the kids loved the loft. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The resort was close enough to restaurants and other attractions to keep everyone in the family entertained. We are already trying to decide when to come back.

      Comfortable and Clean

Left on 08/05/2009 for a stay in July 2009

As usual, our cabin was very clean and comfortable. There has never been a problem with cigarette smoke. We had short notice so we had to stay at Lost Canyon Resort (?) for the first 3 days we were there. That place is a mess. They have no cupboards for your food, the drawers for clothing had cigarette ashes in them and everything in there including the so called clean towels smell like you are drying off with a rag that was used to clean a dirty ash tray. We will never stay there again but we will always try to get our reservations earlier so we can stay at Three Rivers.

      fan issue...

Left on 08/04/2009 for a stay in July 2009

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, with 1 exception.

First, I would say 90% of hotels/ motels/ b&b's have AC. While true that the temps drop down enough in Almont to not need Air conditioning, at minimum, a fan would be useful to keep cooler in the heat of the day, or to bring in the cooler air into the cabin in the evenings.
No fan.... and initially after asking for one at the front desk, the answer was " sorry, we don't have.."

later that day , a fan was brought by.... an appreciated gesture.
I only think there should automatically be a fan at minimum in every rental unit in every hotel, etc. I believe they cost about $20 each for a window fan.

aside from this, it was a very pleasant stay!
