Cabins 39-44 and 49 are similar styles. These deluxe "mountain chalets" offer all the amenities of a cabin in a modern and compact package. They are perfect units for families. The deluxe models are very new with nice furniture and fixtures for a more "upscale" feel. The layout of these chalets feels more spacious than the standard units or the deluxe on the river units. There is a private bedroom downstairs and a low ceiling (4 feet high) sleeping loft upstairs with mattresses on the floor. Kids love to have their own space to crawl around up here. There are... even cupboards to store belongings in this space. The kitchen has modern appliances and the vaulted ceiling gives the living area a roomy feel. Outside there is a large covered deck with patio furniture.
*Note of caution for small children: the steps going up to the loft are steep and narrow and could present a falling hazard. The railing in the upper sleeping area is low enough for a toddler or small child to be able to climb over, presenting a dangerous falling hazard. If you have small children, a gate for the loft stairwell is recommended.

The cabin itself is wonderful if you are a small person or a hobbit, Rooms pretty tiny, especially the bathroom. The cabins are spaced very close together, and I really didn't like being next to a big Rv--they should separate the cabins from the RV parking places. You hear a lot of noise in the mornings if you have your windows open, including conversations from your next door neighbors. Kids love the tiny lofts. One year I rented a big new 2-bedroom cabin and that was great. Being close to a jacuzzi was wonderful. The one in our area this year was not working. High marks on service, the restaurant, and available activities.Use of pavilion for our family reunion was a big plus. Variety of accommodations also a plus (for large reunions or friends group).

What started out years ago as a one time fishing trip to the almont area has become an annual event. Certainly the fishing has something to do with that. However, of equal importance is a comfortable place to stay. Given my positive experience at Three Rivers Resort over the past ten years, I can highly recommend a stay in one of their cabins. Mark, his family and resort staff roll out the welcome mat and are quick to accommodate any reasonable request. The cabins are well stocked, clean and always ready to go. I also appreciate their seasonal specials that make the whole thing affordable. Family and friends who have shared the week with me would agree. It is always hard to return home after a stay at Three Rivers Resort!

When you first approach the cabin from the outside it was hard to believe four adults could possibly fit inside. However, entering you cannot help but be impressed with how efficient the space was put together and the quality of the construction. All worked well and we had a great family reunion using cabins and RV space.

Cabin 44 was exactly what we needed, wonderful neighbors that enjoyed our 2 Yorkies. We had a wonderful rafting trip on the Upper Taylor. The staff arranged our horseback trip with Fantasy Ranch which was great. The Smoke House food was wonderful as always.

While the loft was short (4 ft), it worked well for 2 singles up there. I thought it would be a nice place for a family with little kids. We needed a central site for fly fishing and 3Rivers was just the spot. The Smokehouse restaurant had enough variety and everything we ate there was very good.

I'm not sure what was the best at three rivers and the surrounding crested butte, gunnison area. The resort and all the staff were terrific, the cabin was very modern and comfortable. We couldn't squeeze all the activities in a one week stay! Making plans to go back next year and stay even longer! Some of the most beautiful mountain views ever.

This is our second year staying at 3 Rivers Resort. It was just as wonderful as the first year! The staff is fantastic and the cabins are so clean and well taken care of. The location of 3 Rivers Resort is perfect! Easy to get to Gunnison and Crested Butte as well as a ton of other places.

We loved the updated cabins right on the the river with all the activities within walking distance. The cabins had everything we needed with the best being the covered porch to set and listen to the rain in the afternoons. The staff was excellent for everything including the cabin, rafting, bar, info in general. We will definitly be back in years to come when we travel to Southwest CO.
