Description from the manager
"March Brown"
(Every cabin is named after a fly pattern.)
Cabins 57-67 are identical styles. These deluxe "mountain chalets" on the Taylor River offer all the amenities of a cabin in a modern and compact package. They are perfect units for families. The deluxe models on the river are very new with nice furniture and fixtures for a more "upscale" feel. The best feature of these is that you are literally steps away from the river. Just walk off the covered porch and you're on the river bank. Along the river bank is a grassy area with a fire pit and a charcoal grill plus a picnic table. The unit has a private bedroom downst...Read more

It would be tough to find a better location to spend some time in the Colorado rockies. The Taylor river is just feet from the porch and the fishing in the area is excellent. The cabin itself was clean and served us well. The loft works best for kids but we had two adults who slept there comfortably. The only complaint was that the couch cushions were completely crushed, making it an uncomfortable place to sit for extended periods. The resort staff met all of our needs, and the on-site restaurant was great. All in all, a great place to stay and we'll be back.

The 1 bedroom unit we rented was, in 1 word, perfect! We feel it was a bit pricey, as there is no pool and the river is to cold for swimming. The location of the resort is ideal, far enough away from town for peace, yet close enough to fetch anything needed.

Very good. only thing needing improvement is the sofa. I know it is hide-a-bed, but very uncomfortable to sit on, the middle cushion sinks way down, and the end cushions have you sitting at angle. Otherwise, great stay!

The room size is very tight, but adequate. It meets the needs of a family on an active vacation. Every thing was clean and comfortable. Being near the river was very nice.
We had a great family reunion at the resort. There were lots of cabin choices to meet the various family needs. -

I like being on the water. The kitchen and the family room area were fine, the bedroom and bathroom are too small for someone my size. I also didn't like the fact that there wasn't coffee packets in the room or shampoo. I stay in hotels about 200 nights a year and am used to those things. Maybe I was told there were no amenities but I still think there should be. But the room was open Friday night when I got there around 10 pm and I was able to fish Saturday morning and go to Homecoming so everything I came out there to do, I did! Plus I am friends with Mark and Bruce Eggers who lives across the highway in East River so it was convenient for seeing them too.

All personnell at 3Rivers went above and beyond to make our stay a wonderful experience. Cabin 63 was a delight and exactly what we wanted, river view from inside and out and very well appointed with everything we needed. Loved it all and can't think of a thing which I would rate as least favorite.

We had a wonderful time during our stay at cabin 63 of Three Rivers Resort. We especially liked the large porch overlooking the Taylor River. Great for coffee in the morning listening to the river and watching the slowly come into the valley.
Unit was clean and comfortable. Particularly suited for families with children. The upstairs loft would be uncomfortable for adults with a low ceiling and very steep stairs. The one bath is small is these units. The larger mtn. chalet units up the hill are much more suitable for larger families and have a dishwasher.
My wife and I would rent this unit again. -

We really enjoy staying at 3 Rivers Resort. My wife and I have stayed their many times over the years and the location is perfect. Great service, great food, great people.
Cabin 63 (our cabin for this particular trip) is right on the river and a great spot. Our only complaint was the bed downstairs. Very uncomfortable. We ended up sleeping in separate beds in the loft. Hoping for a new mattress when we stay in 63 next summer.
thanks!

The cabin was beautiful and the deck and picnic area were nice. It would be nice if there was more storage and cabinet area. The bedroom is too cramped and the shower was uncomfortable.

Freeburg, ILBeautiful setting in a beautiful area of Colorado
Left on 08/09/2009 for a stay in July 2009
We had a great stay. All of us really enjoyed just being several yards from the river. The covered deck was great to sit out on to eat and just listen to the water rushing by. The cabin was clean and well stocked although I would probably bring some nonstick pans next time. The kids enjoyed sleeping in the loft even though they had to be careful not to bump their heads. There was actually quite a bit of storage as well. The folks working there were very helpful in telling us about things to do and what were the best hikes. We also did the upper Taylor river raft ride. That was fun! The only thing we missed was a place to just swim although there was a flyer in the cabin about a new community pool that opened nearby but we didn't have the time to check it out.

The personnel at Three Rivers Resort are friendly and professional. Willing to
help and always with a smile. The outdoor restaurant is beautiful. The food is
tasty and plenty of it. In using our budget, we could cook many of our meals
in our cabin kitchen, which has all the utensils I needed. Cabin 63 has all the
amenities of home, but right in the middle of a forest with a river running by
it. Our two teenagers enjoyed staying in the loft, while my husband and
myself had our own separate room. The living room and dining room combine
to make one living area that is roomy. Whether we stayed in and played table
games or watched a movie (bring your own travel TV) or enjoying the outdoors
it was a refreshing way to spend our time together. The boys enjoyed fishing,
which started just a few steps from our front door. The girls enjoyed the
hiking. We all went on a day long horseback ride, which took us back into the
wilderness. Bring your camera! Five days was too short to enjoy everything
that is available. Not our first trip to this place. I recommend that rafting
trips. Enjoy!
