Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

very close to centre and the wonderful Barter books. Comfortable and everything provided. Plenty of room and lots of games etc for kids Smallest bedroom bed a little small for an adult. House and garden looking a bit tired. Great bus link to main line station. Parking away from house but you seem to be able to park outside to unload. This means it is very quiet yet its easy to walk to all the shops and attractions etc

I would recommend that it be made clear in advertising that this house is suitable for only 4 adults. The single room is only appropriate for a child as the bed is too small for an average sized adult.

Grove House is large, very nicely furnished and equipped, and with nice extras: lots of toys for the kids, biscuits on arrival etc. The location is great for alnwick Town Centre, Alnwick Gardens (both 5mins walk) and Barter Books (literally at the end of the street) plus the coast and local attractions within easy driving distance. Car access is the only setback, particularly if you have a large car as it is an extremely narrow dead-end street so you have to reverse back out after unloading.
Also the shower is not the most powerful in the world but apart from this it's a comfortable, homely holiday base for families or small groups. -

Sole problem is the lack of parking and the need to unload and park, in some instances, some distance away. Dove cottage is situated in a terrace of similar properties and some of the near neighbours are extremely friendly and sociable. It was a very welcoming place and the standard of furnishings and fittings is high.
