Description from the owner
We just love this holiday villa with private pool and sunny gardens, located in a quiet spot close to the village of La Roquette-sur-Siagne, and 8km from the Palais de Festival in Cannes. It has two bedrooms, plus the flexibility of further sleeping in a super, detached pool house.
The villa and pool house combined offer approximately 110 sq metres of living space and comprise a spacious living/dining room, open-plan kitchen, two good bedrooms, two bathrooms, terraces on both sides, beautifully landscaped gardens, a detached pool house with shower, private swimming pool and parking for two to three cars. Additional Location Information
Local shops, restaurants & boulangerie can be found just 1km away at the village of St Jean, plus further ones 2.5 km away at La Roquette. A large new supermarket is just 1.5km away and of course there's a spectacular choice of shops and restaurants in the nearby town of Cannes. Here you can also visit the charming old town of Le Suquet and check out the designer stores along the famous sea front ‘La Croisette’.
Local markets are held in nearby Mandelieu every Wednesday morning and there's also a superb covered-market daily in Cannes which offers an array of local Provencal produce, olives, fish, fruit and veg.
Sporting activities in the area are abundant– there’s all aquatic sports like sailing, diving, fishing, water skiing & jet skis; plus there's tennis, horse riding and superb golf courses at nearby Mandelieu and Mougins. Jogging is also popular along the coast between Cannes and Mandelieu or you could go for a long promenade and do some people watching along La Croisette. You are also in very close proximity to the mountains and hills of the Alpes Maritimes region here, which makes hiking and cycling very popular.
Beaches are sandy and can be found just 9 km away at Mandelieu-la-Napoule and right around the bay of Cannes.
The ski stations of Greoliere, Valberg, Isola 2000 and Auron are between 1 and 2 hour’s drive away if you fancy a couple of days winter sports!
Getting around, a car is generally recommended from here; however there’s a bus stop just 300 metres away to easily get to Cannes and Grasse. A good train service also runs along the coast from Cannes, making it easy to visit neighbouring towns like Antibes, Nice and St Raphael.
Sightseeing is endless; you have the town of Cannes and its old town ‘Le Suquet’; the Port of Cannes; boat trips to the nearby ‘Isles de Lerins’; the charming hilltop village of Mougins; a trip into the Esterel hills; the amazing Gorge de Verdon; Grasse and its perfumeries; Nice and its old town and port; the potteries at Vallauris; Aqualand and Marineland near Antibes; the freshwater Lac St Cassien; the hinterland villages of Montoroux, Tourettes, Fayence, and Seillans; a day trip to St Tropez or in the other direction to Monaco and the Italian border.
Other entertainment includes shopping, the casinos & nightlife of Cannes, cinemas, festivals, wine tasting, helicopter rides, or just good old relaxing by the pool!
