Great vacation rental any time of year! Riverfront 1BR/1BA condo in River Run. Beautiful river views (and sounds), tastefully decorated, shared outdoor hot tub, tennis courts and summer pool. Walking distance to River Ranch Restaurant and Crest Cafe and 5 minutes to Alpine and Squaw. Bike Trail System and river rafting operation also are right next to the condo. Equestrian Center just up the road. Covered entry, full kitchen, wood burning fireplace with plenty of wood in storage closet. Bedroom has a queen bed, flat screen TV and large closet. This is a great place to stay. The only reason I gave the general condition a 4 was because the pool was closed for repair but we used the hot tub.

We LOVED this condo! We were out on the deck enjoying the river every day for a morning coffee or afternoon game of cribbage. The location was a great combination of being tucked away from the busy street, but also with easy access to the mountains, restaurants, hot tub, etc. The main room is bigger than it seems in the pictures, a very comfortable set-up. The only things that could make it better would be to have WiF - it was a pain to have to go to the breakfast restaurant across the street to connect - and a microwave really should be added; there's a convection-type oven that is very outdated. But overall we had a great stay and would definitely return in the future.

I am glad they had a good time. There is a microwave built in above the oven. The guest may have thought this was the cooktop fan only. Internet is an issue and owners would like to provide it, but ATT and the cable company have not installed the infrastructure. The condo also cannot receive a signal from the only internet provider due to a mountain in the way. On a good day, you can pick up internet from a signal across the river, but we cannot advertise internet is provided.

There are two recommendations I would make for this property. Wi-Fi and a mattress topper for the futon couch/bed. Otherwise it's a gem.

There is a mattress pad in the master bedroom closet along with a down comforter, pillow, sham, blanket, and sheets for the living room futon.

A wonderful ground floor condo in a very convenient location just off the main road yet cushioned by a restaurant and babbling Truckee river. A working log fire and very well appointed kitchen for all our vaction needs.

This is a great condo. The river that it sits on is beautiful and you can see the restaurant across the river with the holiday lights & Christmas tree from the condo. The hot tub is walking distance in the complex, which although a bit dirty with leaves, it was nice to relax in after skiing. The thermostat didn't seem accurate, as we were sweating at 65 degrees, but we turned it down the 2nd night to 62 and did much better. The fireplace is gorgeous and they give you lots of firewood. We'll definitely be back.

This was a fabulous place to stay. The property was very clean and a perfect size for what we were looking for. The view from the deck was stunning. The location was great, as there was horseback riding about a half mile up the road and rafting right across the river. This was a great place for a getaway for two, and we hope to come back again someday soon!

Our condo was fine. No access to wi-fi though, and we couldn't get the TV to work, even though we read the three pages of instructions in the binder! The picture lead us to believe there was a quiet river, when in reality, it is right across from a busy restaurant! We were only really sleeping there, so it was fine for what we needed.

I wish they had called so I could help them with the TV. It was checked after receiving this review and it worked fine. Notation on the remote instructs to aim above the LG sound bar. If you don't then the remote's signal does not reach the TV.

If you are a smoker, the condition of the condo may not bother you. We specifically selected a non-smoking condo and it was immediately evident upon entering the front door that this condo had been inhabited by a smoker. Aside from that, the view from the deck was stunning. We ended up returning to the rental desk for a refund as the "smoked in" condition was a deal breaker.

In general, this place was great. Fantastic location - a short walk over to the River Ranch for dinner or a cocktail, and 5 min or less to the slopes at Alpine Meadows. Very reasonably priced for what it is. Spacious, comfortable, pretty view of the river, and the management company thought of all of the little things to make our stay easy. Only (very slight) ding was the condo had a mild musty odor to it - perhaps someone had been smoking in it? But after a few minutes it wasn't really noticeable. Like I said it was mild and not overly offensive, but if you are very sensitive to those things, be aware of it.
