We stayed at the Creek Side at alpine home the first week of January 2013. The house is cozy and the kitchen is very well equipped. It is minutes from alpine Meadows ski resort and only a short drive to Squaw and Tahoe City. Overall, we had a nice stay. There were a few quirks that were mentioned already by previous reviewers. The loft room should be use as an entertainment room or office. It is not suitable as a bedroom. There is no privacy and noisy. There should be an alternative access for the hot tub (only way now is through the master suite). During our stay, the path leading to the hot tub was challenging. Finally, stock at least a few coffee filters! We were informed prior to arriving to provide our own coffee filters but there was no information on which size the coffee machine takes. When we went to the Save Mart in Tahoe City to busy coffee filters, they were out of stock due to the busy New Year week before us. For some, a good cup of joe is a daily necessity!

Great Home - 5 bedrooms each with their own bathroom - table for 16 - 2 dishwashers, hot tub - by creek, woods in the back yard close to alpine ski chalet - everything there that you need to cook - highly recommend -

Place is really nice. Everyone loved hot tub next to the river. The only thin is that I would agree with other reviewer that room planning seems a little bit strange: bedroom\loft above the living room (which is fine is everyone getting up/down approximately at the same time) and door to the hot tub from one of the bedrooms. Other than that defiantly recommend.

We really enjoyed this lovely home in alpine Meadows. It was spacious, fully equipped and very comfortable. We were especially impressed with the extensive kitchen supplies, cookware dishes and two dishwashers, a must for ten adults. We had a great time and highly recommend this property and its agents.

We stayed here with a big group with several young children for a ski week. The house was gorgeous and very big, the hot tub is perfect and peaceful right next to the creek (hence "Creekside.") And the small deck off the kitchen, with included gas grill came in very very handy, especially with the mild weather.
The multiple rooms downstairs are great to tuck away the kids at night.
The only flaws would be the open loft bedroom, which is just above the living room. Luckily, we were only full the first night so didn't have to use it after Saturday, but not ideal if you have late partiers or early risers. That essentially makes the bedroom useless unless you have some very sound sleepers. Also, you need to walk through one of the bedrooms to get to the hot tub. This wasn't a problem for our group.
However, you also can't beat the location, just a 5 minute drive up to alpine (there are also shuttles that we never took advantage of), or less than 10 minutes to Squaw and probably about 15 into town.
Overall, it worked well for us, but only because we ended up with one fewer family than expected. Would have been difficult if we needed to use that loft bedroom. -

Creekside is a spacious, well-designed house. It was very comfortable for 10 adults and we all had a wonderful time. The views and sounds of the creek really add to the ambiance. We really appreciated the comfortable beds.

Four couples rented this home and found it very well equipped. There was not a single item needed that was not there. We loved the long dining table -- both a meal place and a late-night "night cap" gathering place. The best thing about this place is its home-like warmth. The location on the creek is fabulous.
One improvement would be to put a trash can in the loft bedroom rather than just in the bath. Also, a tiny table the size of the little ones in the living room would be good in the bathroom because there is no where to place a cosmetic bag. That bath also could use a hook on the door for robes, shower cap, etc. (2) The photo should state that that is the rear of the house overlooking the creek. We thought we were at the wrong house! (3) Would have liked to have had the door code a day earlier since several couples were driving from the SF Peninsula and arrived a different times.
But overall, this house is a winner and we loved the privacy, cleanliness and that each room had a bath. We are all 50+ and we would definitely use it again. -

I/we found this house to be fantastic for our group of 12. Outstanding layout for group meals and enough space and privacy as well. I highly recommend this house to everyone looking for a great property with a great location for skiing at Alpine Meadows.

The arrangements were all handled by email & SMS. The service was
professional. Overall it is a beautiful house, well equipped and wonderfully
close to skiing at Alpine & Squaw. There are a few items that prevent me
giving a fifth star however. The checkin and checkout times seem a bit tight to
me (4PM and 10AM). The jacuzzi was warm when we arrived but went cold
soon after and we could not get it warm again. There was not the typical
binder with relevant info/manuals for things at the property and we were left
without it. One of the two disposals and one of the two dishwashers were not
operational as well.
Again, great location and beautiful, well equipped house with just a few flaws. -

House layout is great--very open spaced common living/dining area.
Bedrooms are great--very comfortable beds! Bathrooms are amazing--each very clean and spacious.
Location is good, fairly easy to get to.
Hot tub is good, but a bit difficult to configure. Also the hot tub requires going through the master bedroom. It would be nicer if it were out a central hallway, or even better, right outside the living room area. -

A very nice place. The common areas were warmly furnished and spacious. Bedrooms and bathrooms were immaculate and well-furnished. Location was excellent for access to Alpine and Squaw. The leasing company was easy to deal with.
