San DiegoBest Vacation Rental Ever!
Left on 04/05/2013 for a stay in February 2013
We stayed at Pine Trail for a week in February. The location of this vacation rental is perfect - nestled in a nice quiet neighborhood and very close to alpine Meadows and Squaw ski resorts. The house is absolutely beautiful and has large panoramic windows to enjoy the amazing view of the surrounding mountains. This home has all the comforts of home (and more!). It is especially great for families. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds all have nice bedding with thick comforters (not the thin ones you typically have in vacation rentals). My favorite room is the kitchen...it has beautiful granite countertops, top of the line appliances and is stocked with every appliance and utensil you could ever need. We had the best family vacation here and will definitely return!

Great service from Tahoe Getaways, prompt, friendly and efficient service. The home was as advertised, great location, newer home with all the amenities. We had an issue with the garbage disposer, however Tahoe Getaways sent someone out the next day to replace it. A few minor improvements would go a long way; the back deck railing very loose, a light cover in the downstairs bathroom, a functioning Ipod docking station (cord had a short) new caulk around the tubs. These were minor and did not take away from our experience, however a little TLC would go a long way. The hot tub, sauna, large kitchen/ family room and kitchen made this an ideal spot. Our crew of 11 people had a great time and would definately choose this home again.

We stayed here for a week with our kids and our friends and their kids. We had plenty of room. House was really close to squaw and alpine ski resorts. The company who manage the property were very professional and were able to help with any queries.

We absolutely loved our stay in this home. The house accommodates families so well as there is enough space for everyone to enjoy. Sitting in the warm jacuzzi while gazing out upon the snow covered hillside was a daily must and great for those just back from the ski slopes. Another plus is the ski resort is very close so skiing is just minutes away. We will be returning as often as we can and we highly recommend this rental to others.

Oceanside, CABeautiful House!
Left on 02/29/2012 for a stay in June 2011
We stayed at this home with four kids and two adults, and it was totally comfortable and absolutely breath taking with room to spare. Couldn't believe how nice the appointments were. An odd thing that I didn't even think of, but found to be very nice -- when we arrived, the house had been freshly cleaned, the towels and sheets laundered -- and there was a little sash from the cleaning folks over every toilet to let you know that it had been sanitized just prior to our arrival. Oddly comforting! Very nice furniture, gourmet kitchen, beautiful view outside the dining room and close to town, grocery store, slopes (fun even in the summer), lake and restaraunts. We were sad to leave -- and I somehow found fault with my own home to return and find that I did not have sanitazation sashes in my own bathrooms! So clean, so nice, so comfortable -- we had a great time and would love to come back. Thank you!

San Diego, CASpectacular Tahoe retreat with breath-taking views
Left on 02/29/2012 for a stay in July 2011
This house is incredible! From the fully appointed kitchen to the stunning views, this house was amazing. The rooms were spacious, the decor was inviting, and the location was unparalleled. We enjoyed our summer stay so much that we came back again in the same summer! The kids loved the proximity to the stream and hikes. The adults loved the easy drive to town, fantastic accommodation, and relaxing hot tub. This beautiful home is a real treasure!

Bay Area, CaliforniaAlpine Meadow House
Left on 02/01/2011 for a stay in January 2011
This is a spacious, very clean and very well-appointed mountain-style home with high-end finishes. It has very comfortable, essentially new, furniture.
It is located in a neighborhood of similarly styled and new appearing homes adjacent to the alpine Meadows ski resort. Its a 4 minute drive to the resort parking lot, or you can pick up the resort's shuttle by walking a couple hundred feet to the end of the street. Driving to central Tahoe City takes about 10 minutes.
Notable attributes of the home include radiant heat, sauna (in the master bath, which also includes a double shower and extra large double vanity) and hot tub. The large open kitchen with high-end appliances lent itself well to making dinner for 6 adults and 6 children every night. The dining area and living room areas were very comfortable. The hillside backyard was great for sledding with the little kids after a fresh snowfall. The 3 main bedrooms plus additional bunk-bed room are well-appointed, each with its own television, and the layout of bathrooms lends itself well to groups of families with children. We used the huge walk-in closet in the master bedroom as a room for our infant who slept there in his portable crib. Linens were abundant and included apparently new, thick towels and comfortable bedsheets.
Only downsides to the house during our stay was the ice maker was not functional (and the young service representative who came late during our second day to troubleshoot could not fix it), and the slightly steep driveway was icy. On the other hand, the snowplow came to clean up right away after several inches of new snow had fallen overnight.
