Located in the centre of town , 2 minutes away from the Market-Place in a quiet side street, with shops, bars and restaurants all around. The beach is 5 minutes walk away, there is a newly built boardwalk where you can walk to beaches 5 minutes walk away, harbour with cafes and seating areas , boat trips, is only 5 minutes walk away. Being central means you do not need a car, everything is in walking distance.

A group of 7 of us stayed in this house in June 2012. We were a mixture of couples and single people all in our 30's. The house was fantastic, all the mod cons you could ask for and very spacious even for 7 adults. We were met at the house by the owner, who was lovely. He showed us around the house and even took us into the town to show us where to find the supermarkets etc. The roof top terrace is fantastic, we spent most of our days there. The beach is only 10 mins walk away and anytime we were there it was pretty empty, which was lovely for a relaxing bit of sunbathing.
The house is right in the centre of town and it gives you a real sense of local life. We loved sitting on the terrace listening to the local people chatting in the cafes below us.
All in all this was a fantastic holiday and i would highly recommend this house to anyone. The only thing i can say is i dont think this house would be suitable for very young children due to the fact of the staircase on the way to the rooftop terrace. That is the only negative.
Alvor itself is beautiful, and the restaurants are very reasonably priced. I would definately recommend the captains table restaurant, the owner is very entertaining!!Response from Lin Hall - 09/28/2012

Loved every minute in this beautiful well equiped house and lived with the locals for a fab two weeks in alvor. House was perfect with all mod cons and was very spacious with air Con in every Room and free Wi-fi which was a great bonus. Even though the house has only three bedrooms and two bathrooms there was indeed loads of room as the house is very well laid out. Lovely downstairs patio area partly shaded just off the kitchen , wet room downstairs and two large sofas which converted to beds. second floor has three bedrooms and another spacious bathroom. Then the lovely roof top terrace with sun loungers, tables and chairs and also washing machine and fridge there to keep the "water chilled".Fantastic location in the middle off the village opposite a lovely bakery and next door to a very good restaurant , all bars just seconds away and a few mini-markets (well stocked and very reasonably priced) minutes away.10 minutes downhill to the harbour with another 5 min walk to the beach. Surrounded by bars and the best restaurants all resonably priced made this a wonderful holiday.The house is sound proffed which meant even though we wer in the centre of everything we were never bothered with noise. Beds were so comfortable with extra linen and lots of towels. Booking was easy and communication was excellent from the owners, we were met on arrival and given a guide to the village and then left to our own devices for the two weeks which was much appreciated. We really loved this house and never needed a taxi from the time we landed until we were going back to the airport which was great. The locals were lovely and very welcoming adn everything about here had a safe and wonderful feel to it. Highly recommend for children over 7 and adults , home from home with all the benefits of being in a sunny climate surrounded by reasonable mini markets and very reasonable restaurants (also just seconds from the house is the great indoor veg and fruit market open 6 days a week 8 til 1). Will definitely return to this property - looking forward to it already as i write this review.

Hi Linda and Patrick.It would be remiss of me not to acknowledge my own and the appreciation of my three colleagues at the superb standard and presentation of your delightful townhouse apartment and of our total and absolute satisfaction with the accommodation and its part in making our recent alvor visit a memorable one.Our anticipation turned to pleasant surprise on arrival to find that the property offered everything and much more that your web description Practical layout, tasteful design, quality fittings, luxurious furnishings and central location all came together and provided us with a week's relaxation to surpass anything we have enjoyed in over 20 years visiting various resorts in the algarve.
Your bedspreads, throws, pillows and dressing gowns etc. added a 5* touch but also the quality and comfort of the beds , the dining and kitchen furniture , the quality of glassware and utensils to mention just a few things all added up to adding class and comfort to a level we have not previously experiencedResponse from Lin Hall - 06/01/2012

This holiday house is outstanding. Oozing luxury with its facilities, it is situated in the heart of alvor town, allowing you to mingle with the delightful locals and become intoxicated with its vibrance. We found the owners to be so helpful and friendly...never intrusive but always available if needed. The beautiful beach is just a short stroll away. We were lucky enough to be the first guests into this townhouse and came away wishing we could stay forever..it really is a little slice of Portuguese heaven.It sleeps 8 guests but deceivingly,is a delightful tardis of space behind its doors...from its sun drenched terraces to its cool chill-out areas...everyone could escape to their own personal space when required. To anyone looking for somewhere to holiday away from the holiday crowd masses of larger hotels/apartments...quite simply this is the best of the best. My advice...go sample it and prepare to be wowed!!

The house was amazing! Everything looked brand new. Very comfortable, ultra clean and tidy. Lots to do at night. Very quiet location I had the best sleep ever! My friends loved it too. The owners were great. Upon arrival we received a welcome basket. They bent over backwards to look after us. I am defintely going to book this house again next year.

Antes de mais gostaria de recomendar esta casa para umas férias bastantes relaxantes e confortaveis na zona historica de alvor/ Algarve .
Fui muito bem recebido pela proprietária da casa no dia de chegada , foram bastante simpáticos . Tinha uma pequena oferta na casa a nossa espera uma garrafa de licor tradicional da região e doces também.
A casa é bastante confortável ( especialmente as camas que se nota que tem um cuidado especial para o conforto por parte dos donos )e espaçosa , tem óptimo quintal exterior para relaxar a noite e beber um copo .
Relativamente os nossos filhos eles adoram também pois tinham um extenso areal e uma zona de diversão nocturna mesmo ai sair de casa . A casa esta bastante bem equipada com tudo necessário para passar bons momentos , até um home-cinema tem ao dispor.
Alvor em si é um bom sitio para se estar no verão , tem um extenso areal onde se pode encontrar um recanto para passar uns bons momentos sossegado a apanhar belos banhos de sol :) . Por sua vez a noite alvor esta cheia de pequenos e tradicionais restaurantes e bares onde se pode apreciar uma bela de uma sardinha assada.
Recomendo a estadia nesta casa luxuosa , a qual tem um preço de estadia bastante convidativo para as condições que apresenta.
