This special apartment is one of 4 beautiful apartments inside a historic palazzo located within a 10 minute walk into the heart of the village of Amalfi.
It has a uniquely lovely private garden furnished like your own outdoor living room - a long front balcony, providing an exceptional sea view from almost every room - and unusually spacious rooms with 20' ceilings.
The decor is a thoughtful mixture of family heirlooms and contemporary pieces which complement each other and the historic atmosphere beautifully. This exceptional property has been lovingly renovated to a high modern standard yet retains the wonderful characteristics of the historic Liberty architectural style of the late 1800's on the Amalfi Coast.
The location could not be better. It is a 5 minute walk to several of the area's nicest beaches, and a 10 minute walk into the center of Amalfi Village - where every kind of shop, restaurant, and service awaits you. The Amalfi dock is just steps away, where you can get the public boats to anywhere in the region, including Positano and Capri.
If you choose not to rent a car, you will be in perfect shape in this location. The local buses leave from the Amalfi Marina and will take you anywhere you'd like to go.
If you enjoy walking and hiking, this property is near many of the great trails and paths that criss-cross the Coast.
The apartment is comprised of 2 bedrooms, one with matrimonial bed and one with twin beds which can be wrapped together and made into one large one. There is a gracious and beautifully decorated living room with fireplace, and a combination kitchen-dining room. The living room and the two bedrooms open onto the balcony.
The master bedroom and the kitchen open onto the private garden where there is a lovely ensemble of outdoor furnishings and a distinctive banquette with oval-shaped marble table.
There are 2 baths - one with tub, one with shower.
The name of the apartment is "Casa degli Iris Blu" and takes its name from the famous Van Gogh painting, Blue Iris.
