Villa Clorinda A is part of a lovely villa by the sea. It features a large terrace with a breathtaking view of the sea and the coast. It is 80 square meters (about 861 square feet) large, and it sleeps four people. The villa is equipped with heating and parking space upon request (booking).
It is 1.5 km (about 0.9 miles) away from Amalfi and 4 km (about 2.5 miles) away from Ravello .
Villa Clorinda A has two double bedrooms, a bathroom with bath tub and shower wand, a large living-room, a spacious kitchen, and a 100-square-meter (about 1,076 square feet) terrace.
The place
The villa is a beautiful house as if attached... to a stretch of prominent coast. It is surrounded by a terrain which is green due to cultivations of olive and lemon trees. It is in an isolated position, and it is caressed by the sun all day long. Its terraces face the sun, the sea, and all the surrounding scenery.
You will be on the slopes of the incredible and enchanting rocky spur high above the sea whose plain top nestles the city of Ravello. You will have, right before your eyes, the famous scenery of sea and coast which has inspired poets and musicians throughout the centuries. It’s a view which still attracts and enchants visitors.
The terrain around the villa is fenced-in, and the access way is closed by an automatic gate.
You will not need a car to stay at Villa Clorinda A. If you do have one, you will be able to park it on the premises, for a fee, in a private parking lot. The parking space is suitable for at most one car. Private parking must be reserved ahead of time; we kindly ask you to let our staff know, so that we can make the necessary arrangements for you. Alternatively, you can park free of charge along the public roads (the actual distance might vary depending on the availability of parking spaces).
You will be in the region where the famous Ravello wines and the Limoncello liqueur are produced. A few meters away from the villa, you will find a famous wine cellar and a company which produces Limoncello: visiting them and enjoying pleasant moments of tasting wine and liqueur will be a piece of cake!
The terrace
Once through the wrought-iron entrance gate, you can reach Villa Clorinda A by climbing a 12-step staircase which will lead you to a large terrace. From every angle of the terrace, you will be able to enjoy the view of the sea.
The terrace is embellished by flower beds and terracotta vases. It stretches in front of the whole apartment. Right below the terrace, there is a garden which belongs to the villa and where olive and lemon trees grow.
On the terrace you will find a table, chairs, a large umbrella, and deck chairs. It will be your favorite place to relax outdoors!
The house
From the terrace you will be able to enter the living-room. You will find a couch, armchairs, and a table with chairs. Next to the living-room you will see the kitchen, white and bright, with a large window overlooking the sea. The kitchen is equipped with a four-burner stove, an oven, a fridge with a freezer, and a dishwasher. The washing machine is placed in a small laundry room.
A small corridor will lead you from the living-room to the area where there are the double bedrooms and the bathroom. Both bedrooms are spacious, having each a patio door leading to a secluded part of the terrace. This part is separated from the rest of the terrace by a while little wall where a masonry arch opens: the privacy of your bedrooms is just perfect.
Villa Clorinda A is furnished with care in a complete and elegant way. The interior features the typical style of Mediterranean houses, with large masonry arches embellishing the rooms.
The beach
900 meters (about 2,953 feet) from the villa is a public stairway which allows you to climb down to a charming fine grit beach enclosed by rocks. You will be able to reach the beach by descending 175 steps partly covered by pergolas and with points where you can stop and rest.
During the summer months you will also be able to take advantage, if you wish, of a bar and of umbrellas and sun lounges rental facilities.
This charming beach, with its clear water, is a nice place to visit any time during the year: it is in the shape of a crescent and is enclosed by an amphiteather of rocky walls. It is sheltered by the wind and it has a pleasant microclimate which makes sun bathing enjoyable all year round.
Nearby tourist attractions
When staying at Villa Clorinda A, you will be conveniently located to visit Amalfi (1,5 km or about 1 mile), Ravello (4 km or about 2.5 miles), Positano (18 km or 11 miles), Capri , Ischia , Sorrento , Pompeii , Herculaneum , Mount Vesuvius , Naples , Caserta , Paestum and more, as you can use the inexpensive and efficient public transportation network both on land and sea.
50 meters (about 164 feet) away from the villa, you will find the bus stop of the SITA Amalfi-Ravello line bus. From Amalfi you will be able to take a bus to Positano, Sorrento, and Salerno .
At the port of Amalfi you will find ferries and hydrofoils which will take you along the coast to places such as Positano, Capri, Sorrento, Ischia, Naples, and the coast of the Parco Nazionale del Cilento (National Park of Cilento ), with Agropoli , Santa Maria di Castellabate , Acciaroli , and Palinuro .
At the port of Amalfi you will also find boats to go on mini-cruises along the coast and visit the Grotta dello Smeraldo (Emerald Grotto) near Amalfi and the Grotta Azzurra (Blue Grotto) in Capri. You can also rent boats and practice water sports in the place.
In the villages of the Amalfi Coast you will be able to shop for fashion and local handicrafts, including Ravello wines, Limoncello liquor, perfumes, pastries and ceramics.
You will be able to attend cultural, artistic and musical events of high interest, such as the Ravello Music Festival, as well as local street festivals. The list of scheduled events is available at the local tourist office.
Those who like to go out at night will find that the Amalfi Coast has a lot to offer: from romantic piano-bars to very exclusive night clubs.
If you like hiking, in the area you will find walks that are famous for their extraordinary beauty, such as the " Sentiero degli Dei ": Path of the Gods .

My friend and I stayed at Villa Clorinda A and our experience was incredible. The owner of the Villa lives above this rental unit (there are three units - Clorinda A is on the main level) and she was wonderful; helpful and very friendly. The accommodations were exactly as shown on the website...there were no suprises. My only issue was the location. As an active person I loved being away from the main area of Amalfi but if you have children or any trouble walking long distances you may have some challenges.
The terrace is amazing and has such breathtaking views of the water.
Next door to the Villa was a wine vendor - you never really knew when it would be open but when it was we were able to buy some local wine that was lovely.
I would highly recommend this Villa and as for the Summer in Italy website,look no further...it's the best!
