      Romantic getaway and spiritual retreat

Left on 03/04/2012 for a stay in March 2012

This was better than I could have expected. We met neat couples/singles in all different stages of life. A married couple with many kids vacationing without children, foreign aupairs from another country, a couple newly pregnant and another couple close to tieing the knot and us...A couple married for 22 years raising two teenagers and at what could be a possible crossroads. We started Friday with a visit around the beautiful house and farmland to include seeing mountains, peacocks, Arabian horses and then an evening with fundue with the two younger couples. It was delicious and my husband and I ate and
visited until time to sleep. We both slept like we have not slept in years with the most comfortable bed and post hot tub experience. We were well rested to
begin our huge once again amazing feast which we follow upped with a hike up crabtree falls. Jennifer made us an amazing picnic basket with a bottle of wine that we had on a beautiful lake. we then returned to have massages in a quaint spa shed and naps. After resting we went to Devil's Backbone for dinner and band. The mountains and houses along the way are an adventure in themselves and then there is great people watching in the resteraunt with all the wintergreen skiers. We returned to talk and then read our books by the fire. We once again returned to bed early and awoke to another huge wonderful breakfast with talks of each person's adventure. Jennifer is a healer. She makes suggestions and provides food based on what she thinks your needs and desires are with the information you give her. This is much more than just your average Vacation; it is a romantic getaway and or a spiritual retreat. We both left feeling well rested and emotionally and spiritually recharged. I wish the same for you. We will definitely be back.

vacation. I will recommend this to everyone I know.

Its a beautiful and peaceful place...wonderful for rechatging

Left on 08/18/2011 for a stay in October 2010

This is a beautiful property and very peaceful.. There is nothing around for severasl miles and there is plenty of space atthe house.
It feels as if you are in Italy at a farmhouse.
We are planning to return there again this year.

      Unique country getaway

Left on 07/28/2011 for a stay in July 2011

A big thank you to Jennifer for arranging our visit to Fairview last week. We happily join the ranks of your past renters in saying that we had an absolutely wonderful stay.

Our two families were searching for a halfway meeting place to vacation and agreed upon the mountains in central Virginia. Since our past experiences with renting online consisted of only newly-constructed beach homes, we were a bit apprehensive about renting an old home in the country. We're happy to report that staying at Fairview was not only a very pleasurable experience, but has revised our thoughts on future vacations.

The surrounding mountains provided a beautiful and tranquil backdrop to our vacation and we enjoyed hiking among them as well. Cooking in the well-equipped kitchen was a treat and we had plenty of room for all at the large dining room table. We found the beds very comfortable and all of the rooms beautifully decorated with furniture and fine linens.

All in all we had a wonderful, relaxing vacation and hope to return again someday.
