Booked for a few days holiday in March. You take a chance on the weather which was absolutely awful. Cottage was very pleasant. Probably best for older visitors or small family. Plenty of interesting things to visit on anglesey. We didn't use public transport but it seems you can even get to most places by bus.

What a lovely cottage with friendly and gracious hosts, beautiful views and warm and cozy atmosphere! We visited the Royal Oak for two weeks in September to attend the wedding of friends, and my husband and I had an absolutely wonderful stay. Mrs.Allingham was available to us for questions or concerns and we arrived to a basket of home grown produce and jams left by our hosts.
Close to many attractions and nestled in a lovely spot on the coastal path we found it a perfect location to explore North Wales. I would definitely return to the Royal Oak without a doubt!

The friendly owner called in to check we had settled in and found everything to our needs, explained the local amenitys, leaving us with some local made jam and home grown vegitables. The location was superb just at the beginning of the harbour with plenty of walks for our large Bouvier dog,and we could want for nothing in the cottage everything to keep a four year old, parents and grand parents happy. Nearby two friendly pubs, a chip shop and a cafe with anothe cafe at the far end of the harbour.
alltogether an ideal location to explore anglesey
