Saskatoon CanadaGreat Hosts! Great Location! Great City!
Left on 02/12/2013 for a stay in February 2013
What a perfect place to spend three days in the heart of amsterdam! With just a short walk from the train station, we were able to locate Bee's B & B, where we were met by Hans. He was so helpful with directions and a map of the local attractions. He also gave us a discount book and cards that we used to receive 20% off of excursions. Each morning we had a breakfast of freshly squeezed orange juice, warm rolls, boiled eggs and fresh fruit. Delicious!
The apartment is small but well-designed and comfortable. It had everything that we needed. We had no problem finding our way around the area and because it was centrally located, we could come and go quite easily.
Brigitte and Hans were great hosts. Brigitte was very helpful in helping me with setting up a PayPal acct and with providing maps from the train station. I took her suggestion to purchase advance tickets to the anne Frank house to avoid the line-up (which was already around the building when we arrived with our tickets.) This was my first time in amsterdam and if I get a chance to return, I will definitely stay at Bee's.

Pros:
-Decor
-breakfast was amazing
- super friendly and accomodating host Hans!
- bike rental, definitely better than the ones from
The tourist stations
- location, so close to everything
Cons:
- shower was a bit fancy and dIdn't have
Like a proper separate floor but the water didnt run too much.
- staircase was super steep and there was no lift, so dont over pack like i did! Its only one flight up though!
Overall: an amazing studio in an amazing city that surpassed all expectations and i would go back in a heartbeat!Response from Brigitte ("B") - 07/13/2012
Owner
Dear Ann Maree,
Thank you very much for your kind review and we are very pleased you liked the studio and Amsterdam so much!
We are sorry that the water in the shower did not run properly; we wish that you had told us about it as we could have fixed it very quickly (the fancy drain gets blocked fairly easily). The stairs we cannot help unfortunately - this is a common problem with old Amsterdam houses. Anyway, we hope to welcome you back some other time!
Kind regards,
Hans & Brigitte -

We normally prefer to stay in a hotel but the accommodation looks so inviting and the reviews were so good that we took a chance - we were not dissapointed. The communication before we arrived was brilliant and the our welcome could not have been friendlier or more professional. The apartment, food and location are all superb. My husband was taken ill on our last night and Hans and Brigitte were so kind and helpful, we can't thank them enough!

My boyfriend and I stayed in the lovely Bees B&B; for my winter holidays, at the beginning of January.
It was soo nice to meet Brigitte and her housband and be pampered by their breakfast threats! Cleaness and a very nice decor style sourrounded our stay. Moreover the location is perfect, in the very centre of amsterdam. -

This was hands down the best stay on a vacation in years for my husband and I. The owners Brigitte and Hans were friendly, helpful, and generous. They gave us information on the location, discounts for all the tourist attractions in the area, and delish and fresh breakfasts every day. They were available when we needed them and left us to our privacy the rest of the time which was perfect. The room was spatious and included everything we needed including a comfortable bed, kitchen, good size bathroom, tv, etc. The heated floors were very nice as well. Each morning we received a wonderful breakfast at whatever time we wanted and it was always fresh, healthy, and delicious. Hans is a great cook and we would recommend trying their hot breakfast too! Location is perfect, close to anne Frank Haus as well as many restaurants and other attractions. It was an easy walk to everything we needed and wanted to go to. Hans recommended the pizza place next door and it was so good we went back for a second one the same night! This was one of the best trips I have ever taken and part of the reason was because of Bees B & B. We hope to be back some day!

We spent a week in Amsterdam in October 2011, staying at Bees B&B. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday among the canals and museums and, in common with many earlier guests, found Bees B&B most conveniently situated, comfortable and well appointed. Our hosts Hans and Brigitte were very hospitable, informative and helpful. Were we to return to Amsterdam, we would not wish for a better place to stay. Left on 11/17/2011 for a stay in August 2011
The accommodation is very comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast was plentiful and even gave us enough for lunches.
Although the location is very central in amsterdam it is very quiet indeed.
One possible problem for older tourists would be the stairs which are rather steep and narrow, typical of a Dutch house.
Brigitte and Hans are welcoming and informative hosts. -

Brigitte and Hans were the perfect hosts. They were there when you needed them and went out of their way to provide us with an amazing stay. The breakfasts were fabulous...made fresh by Hans each morning. The apartment was spotless and very comfortable and had everything we needed. The fridge was thoughtfully stocked when we arrived to get us through the first day. There are also bikes you can use, which unfortunately we couldn't take advantage of due to the rainy weather.
The location is perfect...right on a canal; walking distance to downtown and most of the sites; close to transportation; and many wonderful restaurants within walking distance.
My only warning would be the rather steep, narrow stairs to the apartment. It didn't bother us, but it could be difficult for someone with mobility issues.
We loved Bees B&B; and hope to return in the future.

Brigitte and Hans were fabulous hosts and could not of been nicer or more helpful. The location of the apartment is fantastic, turly within walking distance to most of amsterdam's major attractions. The restaurants in the area were also fantastic and we never walked more than 10 minutes to a fabulous dinner. Can not recommend this place more highly!

We stayed here for a 3 night break to celebrate a birthday and go to the Take That concert at the amsterdam arena. The location is perfect, really central with lots of restaurants nearby (we would recommend Seasons which is just one street away). The apartment is spotlessly clean, bright and really well equipped, the owners have thought of everthing. We arrived quite early in the day, but were given awarm reception by Hans and were able to leave our luggage whilst we went out to explore. We took a taxi from Centraal Station, 15euros, so were dropped at the door. This was helpful as the apartment does not have a specific sign outside. Also payment is by cash on arrival.
Brigette had really kindly organised a bottle of champagne that my husband had requested for our arrival. Breakfasts were superb and provided at whatever time you specified. The fridge was also stocked with ham, cheeses, yogurt, milk, beer etc. We were given the use of 2 discount pass cards during our stay -used them to skip the line at the Van Gogh museum and also gave us 10% off entry.
This apartment definitely deserves the positive reviews. I would certainly use this again if I was returning to amsterdam. Thanks again to our hosts. -

Charming hosts, a superb room with all the amenities - very well renovated and full of charm. Great space even if just one room and tiny kitchenette. Spacious bathroom - very modern. Very, very clean and bright. No noise from the street since at the back. The breakfast is more than expected with fresh juice, fruit, egg, bread and croissants. Meat and cheese in the fridge and lots of coffee and tea. Would definitely stay here again. Centrally located, we walked everywhere.

Our staying at Bee's was outstanding .
Even before arrival, Brigitte instructed us on how to reach the apartment and even e mailed us a map , taxi and bus instructions etc.
The place is cozy , just as it looks in the pictures or even better , inmaculate clean and very comfortable and fully equiped with every kind of facilities
Heating system worked very well , in spite of very cold weather outside.
The apartment situation is excellent within walking distance of many attractions.
But the most oustanding issue about Bee's is Brigitte's and Hans' hosting attitude .
On arrival , the fridge was full with cheese , beer, deli cuts, milk , juice, yoghurts , etc.
We were permanently asked about our needs and helped with directions and even in booking tickets in advance .
Breakfast was served at requested hour with freshly squeezed juice , eggs and fruit salad meeting our preferences .
Just to paint a picture let me tell that Hans got up 3.30 am during our last night just to make sure we woke up since the airport taxi they had gently arranged for us was arriving at 4am.He even prepared a take away breakfast for us at such a time in the night !
We are nothing but thankful towards both of them and are looking forward to coming back to their wonderful city which we certainly adored.
Of course , we will think of no other place to stay while in amsterdam and will strongly recommend Bee's as an option to conventional hotel lodging. -

We've visited amsterdam several times and stayed in some lovely B&Bs; but this one was the best! Beautifully decorated, quiet room with a huge comfy bed, rain shower, kitchen with food and drink, TV and DVD player. The location is fantastic too, in the loveliest part of amsterdam in my opinion. I will definitely try to stay here on my next visit. Thank you!

The apartment is recently rennovated - clean, well decorated, warm, comfortable. Hans provides a fanstastic breakfast from local markets/shops each morning and as much local information as you can take in. Highly recommended.

Bee's B&B; is by far the best place to stay in amsterdam. Hans and Brigitte were extremely helpful with directions, where to eat, what to see and anything else we needed. The breakfast they provided was great too. Our fridge was loaded with beer, lunch meat, cheese, yogurt and juice in addition to the eggs, bread and juice that were left outside of our door every morning. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the shower and bathroom were spacious and clean. If I ever return to amsterdam I would definitely stay at Bee's again.

My eleven-year-old son and I stayed at Bee's B&B; for four nights. I knew we had booked the right place as soon as our airport shuttle turned onto Leliegracht. The canal/street was like a postcard.
Our room was newly renovated, tastefully decorated, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. It was a great amsterdam experience to have a key to "our” canal house. Hans and Brigitte were great hosts and very helpful in pointing the way to the grocery store (great Spaghetti Carbonara and Pizza Margherita at the Italian restaurant a few doors down) and ice cream shop.
Bee's is in a great part of the city to wander (on foot or by bike) and is convenient to the Canal Tour Boat stop, paddle boats, Anne Frank House, Westerkerk (great view from the tower), tram, Stop and Go bus, and lots of restaurants and shopping.
Breakfast was plentiful and delicious - fresh from the bakery breads, fresh fruit salad and fresh-squeezed OJ. Staples foods (butter, milk, cheese, coffee, tea, and individual jellies, peanut butter, and nutella, etc.) were in the kitchenette.
The room was quiet but not overly private. The windows looked onto another part of the building, but they had blinds (which let the sunlight in) and drapes.
We would definitely stay at Bee's B&B; again. -

I stayed there for 3 days with my son (8 years). Nice siuated in the center near everything but not to loud. Very nice and new renovated room with kitchen and bathroom with rainshower. Super breakfast with fresh fruits, orangejuice and bread etc. and a fridge with everything you need for breakfast and even for lunch (picknick). Very friendly and relaxed owners, so no problem to com with a child. They also can give you good informations. The anne frank house is just around the corner and is open until 10pm. So I could even visit while my son was sleeping and without waiting for entrance.

Bees Studio was the loveliest and most comfortable place we stayed in during our 2 months travel in Europe. Admittedly, it was the most expensive, but my partner and I were glad we paid a lttle extra and Bees is good value for money. Aesthetically, the studio apartment is very stylish and has a very lovely 'warm' feeling about it. It is super clean and the quality of the (breakfast) food in the fridge is great- we especially appreciated too, the freshly squeezed orange juice brought in in the morning and the fresh rolls and fruit salad too. Hans and Brigitte provided great service, particulalry helping out with booking trains and assisting when my partner lost his passport! And finally, Leilegracht is beautiful, great location- a good balance of vibrant and quiet and peaceful.

My parter and i stayed at Bee Bed and Breakfast for 3 days and we loved it. The location was fabulous, set on a quiet leafy canal walking distance to all the main sights and with the best pizza cafe next door. (Highly recommend) Brigitte and Hans were very friendly and helpful and couldn't have been better hosts. The apartment is up some quite steep stairs so could be difficult for someone with some physical problems. The room is light and airy and very quiet, the kitchen facilities well thought out and all in all we loved the room. The breakfast surplied was huge and delicious. Hired bike for the day from Hans and had a marvellous time. Geat day out and again highly recommend. Thanks Hans and Brigitte for a great stay. We would stay there again if we return to Amsterdam.

A top class studio in a fantastic location. Our hosts were very accomodating and hospitable. The studio is well equipped, modern and very clean. The Jordaan area of Amsterdam is (in my opinion) the most beautiful area of Amsterdam and the studio is centrally located. There are great local shops, bars and restaurants on the door step. Dam square is only a 10 minute walk away and the property is close to a tram line so getting there is not a problem. My wife and I have visited Amsterdam many times and stayed in various hotels, B&B's and apartments. Bees B&B is by far the best accomodation we have stayed at in Amsterdam. From the fully stocked fridge to the fluffy towels (and not forgetting the warm bread and fruit cocktail at breakfast) Bees B&B is excellent value for money. We will return and will be recommmending this place to our friends. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Hi Bees B&B (best&best)
Thank you for your wonderful hospitality during my stay in Amsterdam (14-18.04.2010) The minute i walk in the place I got warm welcome from Brigitte and Hans the owner of the place. Food are ready in the fridge. Room is clean and well decorated with all facilities that you would need while you away from home. The location is very good 10mins walk to Dam square. The neighborhood is very friendly, lots of cafe, bar, restaurants and small shops. The owners gave me enough privacy but still ready anytime I need any help. I would go back to this place again if I visit Amsterdam again next time. I just feel like home at this place. Thank you again for taking care of me and also offering the solution when the flight disruption happens. I really appreciate it.
Kind Regards,
