We actually stayed in the apartments which are run by Ken and Vlad . The tow bedroom apartment was very spacious and very well appointed. The appartments are in a great area of the city.
there are a number of resturants on the same street and many more a short walk away. It is a easy walk into the city.
Ken and Vlad made our stay so easy. we stayed in the two bed appartment for four days at the begining of our trip then we were moving on to berlin. they stored one of our suitcases for us on our return when we staying in the one bedroom appartment.
Both appartments were spotless and very well appointed.
We would not hesitate to recommend Maes your holiday. We are planning on staying there again -

As my title says, Mae's is the only place I stay when I go to amsterdam. Vlad & Ken treat you like a family friend! The property is immaculate, conveniently located and quiet! Everything you could need for your stay is there. The beds are amazing. I felt like I was at home.

My husband, sister and brother stayed at Maes following a Christmas Market River Cruise with Viking. We thought nothing could top what we saw and felt on the cruise. But, this quickly became the highlight of our trip. It was in a beautiful location, right on the canal. It was walking distance to wherever we wanted to go, like the anne Frank House. We used the tram to get around and it gave us a great view of our surroundings. Everything was coated in white snow ao it made it feel like a Han Christian andersen story about skating down the canals.
The hosts of the B&B; could not be more helpful. The accomodations were clean and actually brand new! The breakfast was more than a person could want, with Dutch pancakes too...yum!
