The Green Room Guesthouse
This studio is a great place for those who are looking for a cozy yet budget accommodation in the heart of the old city of Amsterdam. Couples, friends, children, businessmen, musicians and all sorts of artists are very welcome.
It offers a spacious open patio, where you can relax after a day of walking in town. No kitchen. Walking distance to Central Station, Dam Square, The Jordaan, shopping, bars, restaurants and all major attractions in the city centre.

We enjoyed our stay and the hominess of the Green Room Guesthouse. It was very clean and had the conveniences that we needed such as wi-fi, perfect location to Central station. We enjoyed the coffee and tea in the morning as well as the fresh fruit. The downfall was the street noise and the noise above us from the stairs as other guests came and went, very noisy! The apartment owners were very nice. We liked the location the best and the outside noise the least.

I would rate this appartment excellent, as it is comfortable, and adaptaple to the needs of those renting, a spacious room.
Aaafke the owner, was most welcoming, and generous, with a bowl of fruit, and plants of spring bulbs.
It is spacious and clean, and quiet, considering it is in the centre of amsterdam, and next to a church. Ground floor level in an advantage. Being so central it has access to many attractions, near the Singel Canal. Also near the shops, and supermarket.
Ten minutes from Centraal Station, comfortable, warm and clean. Could have another dining chair for the table, also instructions for the trash for disposal.

The apartment (located in the downtown)is large, well furnished and warm. It has a kitchenette with a mini fridge, plates, cutlery, etc.
Also the apartment has a beautiful terrace if you want to have some food/drinks outside.
Finally, I'd like to stand out that the landlords are very, very nice! :) I highly recommend this place for young couples.

This house will be my only place to stay in the future in amsterdam. It is in the heart of the center, very clean, useful and has a very well hosts, they are ready to help you with their smiling faces everytime, you won't regret to stay in there.

die außenwand rechts vom Fenster ist feucht, schimmelig, der Putz fällt ab
die schwarzen Ledersessel sind abgewetzt,
die Beistelltischchen voller Kränze
die Handtücher verwaschen und mit Löchern
Feuchteschäden an der Decke im Bad und im Kitchenettebereich
insgesamt etwas abgewohnt und nicht ganz sauber
Geschirr mussten wir vor Benutzung spülen, aber eine Spüle/Becken gibt es in der Kitchenette nicht (Handwaschbecken im Bad benutzen!)
Möblierung einfach und spärlich
um den Innenhof zu benutzen, muss man über 2 Trittleitern durch das Zimmerfenster steigen!!!

This Studio is very cozy and have a lot of charm! especially with the patio outside near an impressive Cathedral !!
2 of my friends and I stayed there for 3 days, the location of the appartment is near all the major tourist activities in amsterdam .
The red light district is at 5 - 10 minutes walking distance
The appartement is very clean & confortable ,with a lot of facilities ,(kitchinette,desk,wifi,relaxing chairs,library...) .
The landlords are very friendly and helpful and will give you good advices for your stay . Also the people working for the agency "Appartments Unlimited" are very helpful and professional.

I highly recommend the Green Room Guesthouse for your stay in amsterdam. Literally, it is a 5-minute walk from the train station and a quick turn off of Singel. As soon as you walk out of the door of the apartment, you see the beautiful Singel Canal - probably the most beautiful canal in the city and center to just about all that amsterdam has to offer. The outdoor patio provides for a very home-like feel and the view of the old church is spectacular. The owners are especially nice and provided many great tips and suggestions for our stay. The room is clean and uniquely styled. I would definitely stay at The Green Room Guesthouse for my next visit in amsterdam!

I could not have been happier everything was as described and promised. The Green Room Guesthouse is rustic but well appointed with all the essential, best of all it is very clean.
The owners which were more like hosts are the best! They were very helpful and accommodating.
The location is great and within easy walking distance of everything that you would want to get to in amsterdam.
For the price I do not think that you could do better.
If there is any room for improvement at the Green Room Guesthouse it would be to have a fan to move the air,..but hey I like fans.Response from Apartments Unlimited - 07/29/2012

Absolutely loved this apartment! Perfect for a long weekend in amsterdam. The hostess is very kind and helpful and catered for all our needs. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable. The apartment is really comfortable and relaxing..the courtyard is a big bonus and one of the reasons I chose the Green room.. It was home from home for us! If we stay in the area again we would definitely chose here.
Apartments Unlimited provide an excellent service too.

Our stay at the Green Room was just perfect. The studio is just of right size, very comfortable and on a surprisingly quiet street around one of the busy parts of town. Location is another major plus, you are in the centre but without all the hustle and noise.
Our hosts were very friendly, we shared lovely conversations out on the private patio.
Overall, this place is fantastic value for money. Would definitely recommend it for a couple or 2 single visitors. I wouldn't mind even staying there if i was a solo traveler!

After staying in amsterdam once before and lodging at a hotel I decided my next trip would be better spent on a boat house or an apartment and I am so glad that I made that choice. My mother and I loved our stay. The location was perfect. We could come and go as we pleased. And it was a very adorable room. My only complaint would be that the people that live in the building above the room would stomp up and down the stairs but other than that we loved our stay here.

Very nice lokation, and the hostess was real pleasent. We felt quite at home, very cosy. The weather in amsterdam was at its best during our stay, so we ended up falling in love with both the city, and the Green Room Guesthouse!

Generally everything was quite alright. It's actaully part of the owners' house, but is private enough. The bathroom is small but clean. The room has low ceilings but nice remodelled terrace across from church. Owners are nice and accomodating. The centrality of the location is the best aspect; very easy to locate in perplexing geography of amsterdam.

We were accommodated here for 3 days- central location, we had all we needed- the only inconvenient was the fact we did not understand there is 1 room with 2 beds.the appartment is really close to the central station, there are many restaurants close to the apartment,tram station and the city attraction are accessible on a walking distance.very clean and the owners are very kind.

I'm sorry that you didn't understand well what the webpage of this property shows: there is one bedroom with 2 single beds (that can be placed together to form a double, if necessary), and a double sofa bed. Next time, if you let us know exactly what you're looking for, we can advise you the best accommodation for your needs.

What a great location! This place is a block from the Renaissance hotel, perhaps the top location in all of amsterdam at half the price and far more privacy and convenience. Even though it is right smack in the middle of downtown, it has a secluded courtyard next to an old grand church. At any given time there could be a chorale group in the church to provide some great European travel background music. Leendert is a piano master and his playing can be heard sometimes on the patio as well. Aafke, his wife is a bundle of energy with a passion for music as well. What great hosts. I am sure they cant do this for everyone but we sat out on the patio with them one night and ate and drank and had so much fun. If you rent bikes you can keep them in the courtyard too for safety. You should rent bikes - it is the true amsterdam experience. The room is clean and well cared for. There were plenty of linens. It is a basement unit but very secure. The bed was ok. Free wifi saved us a bunch combined with Skype calls. The rental process was easy. What can I say. Great stay! Recommended!
