My husband and I spent 4 days in this lovely apartment, the landlord is a very sweet person and treated us very very well. I felt like home. The studio es very well located, in the beautiful Jordaan, close to everything. The studio was very clena and neat. We recommend it!

The flat itself was very nice, comfortable, and spacious, but I felt it could have been a bit cleaner (especially the floor). If you're planning to spend most of your time outside of the flat exploring amsterdam I would certainly recommend it- it is in a lovely part of the city, with easy access to all the great attractions. If you want to spend some time in the flat for whatever reason, you are likely to disturb the owner who lives directly below and can hear pretty much everything you do. There is no washing machine, but a laundry 7 minutes walk away that is very reasonable.

The owner has been advised on your comments about the cleaning. About the noise, we understand that the owner had made an agreement about the time for you to practice your musical instrument (not in the evenings). He has complaint only on the day you kept playing longer than that agreed time. That's very reasonable, because there are indeed limits of noise allowance, in order not to disturb the neighbours, specially in the evenings.

A wonderful location, quiet, great views, peaceful and private. Close to restaurants, public transportation, canals, parks, pubs, and museums. Just away from the bustle of tourists and traffic. Yes, it is 4 flights up, but the manager will help take your suitcase up and we still laugh about the narrowness of all the Dutch stairways.

Adorei a locação desde que começamos a fazer a reserva. Fomos atendidos com muita atenção e carinho. O estúdio alugado atendeu a todas as expectativas e foi totalmente fiel as fotos vistas pelo site. Certamente em nossa próxima ida a amsterdã faremos a locação com a empresa ! Assim como indicaremos para os amigos !

Despite excellent location, I would not choose this apartment again simply because one has to work through 64 very steep, narrow steps to reach the studio! Being 60 years of age and with one's baggage it was simply just too much of an effort! The amenities are really satisfactory though the hot water in the shower was never hot.

This property is located on the 4th floor and has indeed steep stairs, as our website shows. If we knew about your requirements, we could have suggested another accommodation; I'm sorry we were not aware of that; maybe next time, if you remind us please.
We will communicate the issue of the hot shower with the owner of the property: we never had any complaints about it, so it can be some kind of regulation of the boiler. Next time, please feel free to contact us before your departure, so we can try to fix it quickly - and you can still enjoy your stay. -

The apartment is on the top floor. The view of the canel in the might is very beautiful. The tram and bus stop is gew steps away. The land lord stays one floor below. The room is well equipped, except the door can not be locked.
Not suitable for huge luggauge, elder with knee problem, new couple or noisy party people.

Thanks for your review. The door can indeed be locket from inside; perhaps you didn't see it. There is though a second door one floor below anyway, that is always locked, so security is assured.

Hans, the owner of apartment lives just below and he bothered too much that his guests walk without levitate over the wood floor. The problem is that the floorboards are loose and make lots of noise. We had to walk like ninjas to avoid having to hear their exaggerated complaints .
On the other hand, he was very clear from the outset with his reservations about the Spanish guests. In fact, one of the first things we said was that the Spanish are very noisy, and I sincerely believe that complaints were due more to their prejudice that the real trouble that we could cause.

The Marnix studio is a lovely place to spend your holiday in amsterdam.
The flat is clean, warm and quite. Very close to the Jordan and with a useful tram stop right in front of it to get easily around the city.
I would highly recommend this flat.

Excellent location, lovely little apartment. Perfect for a couple. The landlord was very pleasant and helpful but in no way intrusive. Quite alot of stairs though so no good if you need easy access.

Apartamento muy acogedor para una pareja, con todo lo necesario para pasar unos dias en amsterdam.
a 10 15 minutos del centro andando y muy cerca del barrio del Jordam.
tranquilo, hay un pequeño parque enfrente, la casa bien reformada.
Los dias que estuve le pedi al dueño si tenia Wi-fi gratis pero como esos dias el dueño no estaba en casa, no me hizo ni caso.
Negativo: tiene muchas ventanas y mucha luz, eso es bueno y me gusto mucho pero por favor pongan en las ventanas persianas para que no entre la luz por las mañanas, porque no podia dormir y supongo que a mucha gente le pasara lo mismo.Response from Apartments Unlimited - 09/28/2011

Great studio apartment with all amenities you would require as a tourist. Could certainly self-cater in the apartment.
Studio is within 5 mins walk of the Jordaan and anne Frank's house, but in an area with less tourists. Good tram links nearby also. Would definitely recommend. However, it is up 4 steep flights of steps, so not suitable if you have problems with stairs.

we stayed in the studio for about a week and felt almost like beeing at home. we liked the atmosphere and that it was very quiet - which was important for us, as amsterdam is a very busy city and we wanted some time to relax and recreate beside all the lively impressions in the city.

This is a lovely place. It was very quiet and yet only 10 minutes walk from the center of town. I was there for new years and the view of fireworks over the roof tops across town was spectacular. The owner was very accommodating and helpful (and quiet!...he lives downstairs).
As a bonus, there is a small organic grocery story just across the canal so stocking up for my stay was very convenient.
I'd love to stay there again.
The ONLY caution is that, like most canal houses, the stairs are steep and there are 4 flights of them. Those with limited mobility may not be comfortable here.Response from Apartments Unlimited - 02/05/2010

Quiet with goods views across the canal and over the trees. Kitchen has all you need and there is a table to eat your meals etc and a good comfortable double bed. The apartment is spacious and uncluttered.
