The 9 Streets Studio
This studio apartment is housed in an 18th century building with true Amsterdam character, located on the "Nine Little Streets", famous for its little shops, cafés and bistros. The accommodation is very simple, so don't expect luxury, but it couldn’t be more convenient and charming: right in the heart of the old city!
It offers a small living room in the front, convertible to a bedroom for a possible third guest, the kitchen and bathroom in the middle of the house and, at the rear of the building, you'll find the bedroom with an eating area.

I have just returned from a birthday trip to amsterdam with my son. We stayed at the nine streets studio. Wow what a find! Right from the get go, the owner Steve corresponded efficiently and made sure we knew exactly where to go. Upon arrival Steve showed us round the apartment and demonstrated all the controls, heating, water, fridge, TV, etc. the apartment was spotless and in a most fabulous location, close enough to everything you would want but far enough away from the major hustle and bustle. Huidenstraat is a beautiful little street with some lovely chic boutiques and some great food establishments, especially the bakery and the chocolatiers, plus a discreet little place, called Best Friends, just across the road. We had a memorable time and the nine streets studio was a real little "home from home"

The 9 Streets Studio worked out perfectly for us. We had my 13 y.o. nephew with us and the sofa was just fine for us. The double bed was very comfortable. The apartment is well furnished with a good shower and lots of dishes in the kitchen. The bedroom is at the back of the apartment so is quiet. The front room can be a bit noisy at night because of street noise. The apartment is only one flight up but it is steep--not suitable for anyone with balance problems but otherwise just be careful. Steve was great to work with. He gave us excellent instructions on locating the place as well as good recommendations for local restaurants and amenities. The 9 Streets area is just charming--the heart of old amsterdam. It was easy walking distance from nearly everything. Steve also has lots of information about amsterdam at the flat. We would definitely stay there again. I don't give many five star ratings but this one is worth it.

My husband and I stayed in the apartment for the entire month of February. We love it.
The studio is clean and cozy, the rooms are large, the heating system is perfect and the location is great. The owner, Steve Malenka, was extremely friendly and helpful from start to finish.
The street has great cafes and shops and is very close to the center of amsterdam, which helped us a lot.
Surely we will return!
I recommend this studio with great pleasure.

My wife and I stayed for only three nights, a whirlwind tour of amsterdam. The 9 Streets Studio was in a beautiful neighborhood, charming by day, majestic by night, and walking distance to everything. Our host, Steve, had good food recommendations (try Lust) and was prepared with maps and other helpful hints. It felt like we lived there. Only able to hit the highlights before our time was done, we were able to use the Studio as home base, particularly to deal with the rain. We had a great time anyway, and the Studio experience was a big part of that. We would definitely stay here again.

Me and my girlfriend stayed for 3 nights and it was great. It's in the quieter part of amsterdam but a walkable distance from the centre. Steve the owner was very good with us he went around the apartment with us showing us what's what then left us to our stay. Will be staying again!!

My wife and I like very much. The apartment is very large with well equipped kitchen with everything you will need. It's not luxurious, is simple. It has a living room with tv, sound, video, dvd's, books and a large sofa. It is well located, nearby there are many shops, cofeshops, supermarkets. We recommend.

Had a great time in amsterdam, loved it heaps. So much to do and see, meet some really nice people.
Loved the culture, never been some where were they are so open minded. Also the Dutch can speak english very well, which was very nice after spending so many weeks in countries that didnt speak it well.
Teh food was awesome! art galleries, parks, bars and of corse coffee shops.

The apartment is ideally located within walking distance of everything worth seeing in amsterdam, but away from the congestion and bustle of Central Station. There is a good-sized bedroom and a sitting room, separated by a small but adequate kitchen and a bathroom. One of the best features of the apartment is the owner, Steve, who is a great guy - very helpful and welcoming. In view of the excellent location and amenities, the price is very reasonable. In summary, if you want a charming, well-located place to stay in amsterdam, look no further! One possible drawback - the apartment is reached by climbing up one flight of very steep stairs - not good for frail or handicapped travelers.

Everything has been so great...
To begin, this is by far the best location in amsterdam! I can't believe we have been so lucky!! Charming streets, surrounded by nice little places to shop and eat! And also at a short walking distance to the center!
The apartment is really cozy, you feel like at home. And Steve, the owner, is a wonderful person, and will help you with everything you need.

Three of us, ages 71, 73 and 16, recently spent four lovely days in amsterdam, headquartered at The 9 Streets Studio. The apartment is clean, comfortable, well-equipped and in the best possible location for tourists in amsterdam. We walked to all of the major sites and the area has many fine restaurants, shops, and grocery stores. The host is especially nice and always helpful -- and available, since he lives upstairs from the apartment. And what a value! The apartment is just around the corner from a hotel with rooms for 300 euros and up!

El apartamento es bastante confortable para una pareja (sólo hay una cama de matrimonio), aunque bastante básico en su equipamiento. Las fotos que aparecen en el anuncio (son las mismas en diferentes webs) deben ser de hace tiempo y "están muy bien hechas", ya que aunque los muebles coinciden, están bastante más viejos y el aspecto general del apartamento no es tan atractivo.
Lo mejor, sin duda, es la ubicaciĂłn. Se trata de un barrio tĂpico del centro, con bastante historia, tranquilo en comparaciĂłn con las áreas más turĂsticas y con establecimientos interesantes muy cerca, como cafeterĂas y tabernas con varios siglos de antigĂĽedad, cafeterĂas atractivas y sobretodo, un ambiente que te hace sentir como un residente más de la ciudad y no como un simple turista.
Es fácil moverse en transporte público, aunque todo está al alcance de la mano andando.
La entrada al apartamento está algo escondida, ya que casi hay que entrar dentro de una tienda para ver la puerta. Por la noche, con la puerta de la tienda cerrada, es necesaria la llave para poder acceder a la puerta del apartamento.Response from Apartments Unlimited - 08/10/2011

I spent a week in amsterdam with two friends and I must say that we couldn't have chosen a better accomodation!
At the arrival we have been received by Steve, the hauseholder, who explained everything we had to know about the apartment and gave us some very useful infos about the surrounding area. Steve is a great householder: though we never needed him since nothing went wrong during our stay we knew we could trust him for every request.
The apartment itself is wonderful, even if it could seem small it has everything you need in your stay and there is enough room for 3 guests. I personally slept on the couch and I admit is really comfortable.
The location is perfect since the apartment is situated outside the chaos of the medieval centre and the red light district. However it takes just a few minutes walk to reach these places. For being honest almost everything is within a few minutes walk from the apartment.
The area in which the accomodation is located is the most romantic and enchanted of all amsterdam: the canal ring, and few canals westwards the Jordaan. You will breathe an atmosphere of absolute relax though this area is filled of interesting shops, restaurants and charachteristic bars, always full of locals.
Well, it will take some time to explain how great amsterdam is, but I'm sure that the "9 streets studio" is the best choice to experience it by yourself!Response from Apartments Unlimited - 08/01/2011

We loved everything about this place! The pictures do not do it justice. The place was spacious, very very clean, we spent hours in the den which was a great place to chill out. The host was always there when we needed him while still having complete privacy. The host provided us with an amazing welcome kit which had maps of the city, restaurants in the area etc. The kitchen was very accommodating, all in all whether you're going with friends or just one other, I would highly recommend this place! It will for sure exceed your expectations, it definitely did for us!

My friend & I stayed for a month and absolutely loved the apartment! It's surprisingly roomy, and decorated tastefully. There was a minor issue with the heating but the owner, Steve, lived just upstairs and got it sorted out straight away! In addition, he was friendly & helpful, and offered the local knowledge that made our stay even better.

No taxi needed for a stay in this apartment. I chose to stay here because of it! It in between the shopping areas and night life. The last time I visited in this city, I wasted a lot of money on taxis. The apartment was spacious. The bed was comfortable and smelled so good! And what a bonus our landlord was! He was very accommodating and hospitable, not to mention forgivable (I broke a couple of glasses! oops). He is such a gentleman! I definitely would stay here again and would recommend to others!

Rather small bathroom. The Kitchen needs a renovation although it´s quite functional.
No elevator and the stairs are not suitable for elderly people.

landlord is very kind, friendly, and helpful. I had a very comfortable and
enjoyable stay. The location of the studio is the best. It is close to all the great
restaurants, shopping areas, museums, and many more. I was able to walk to
everywhere I wanted and needed to go. Transportation is also very close by,
within 5 minutes walk to the nearest tram stop. The studio is in a very lively
area which makes you feel like a part of the city. I highly recommend the

We really enjoyed our stay. It was a nice apartment with plenty of space. We felt comfortable and the apartment was in a great location. The only problem was that they were doing some construction next door, so we were up every morning at 6:30 because they were banging so loudly next door. It continued ALL DAY!
