I rented the entire apt for our 2 day stay. Since we had 9 people, we also opted to rent another 1 br apt that Jeff recommended. There was an issue and his friend was not able to rent us his apartment. Not only did Jeff notify me right away and apologize, he also gave up his personal apartment in Downtown amsterdam on the canal for the 2 days we were there. This was not his responsibility and most people would not go to this extent to make our stay as easy and hassle free as possible.
Our 3 br apt was perfect for what we needed, plenty of room and everything was provided that we could possibly need.
Jeff had someone meet us at the apt and explain how everything worked. He also showed us the tram location-5 min walk-where the market was and also took my sister to Jeff's apt so they could drop off their luggage...Have not met anyone nicer and if I ever go back to amsterdam, this is the apartment I will stay at just because of the owner...Thank you again Jeff, had a great time and really enjoyed both your apartments. -

This is an excellent place for people who want to stay at the outskirts of the city center. Not for the tourists who wants to enjoy a 5-star service, but it is perfect for families and small groups of friends who enjoy some control in their vacation. The owner is very helpful and is ready to provide any assistance needed. He comes in everyday to clean-up and things like that. Personally I would prefer to stay in such apartments than in hotels. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the living room is big enough for everyone. The free wireless connection is always very convenient and fast. Laundry can be done in the only bathroom in the unit and there is also a kitchen with fully-equipped crockery and cooking utensils. Overall a comfortable stay that allows the guest to truly make themselves feel at home.

Firstly, lets talk about the location. This apt is a stone's throw away to the Dappermkt. I loved the market. So to me, this is a great location.
Nonetheless, there is a tram stop that so conveniently brings you to the centraal area. The tram stop is an easy walk from the apt. I hope this clears that issue.
Near to the Tram stop, there is a bakery (fresh loaves of bread) and convenient supermarket at neighborhood prices.
When we first arrived at the Tram Stop, we were given specific instructions and anthony even came out to greet us.
He showed us about the house and explained the facilities and left us pretty much on our own.
Oh and a bonus for the family is that the apartment has laundry facilities.
For me traveling in a family (with 2 kids) has always been a hassle. So being able to trust the other contact, on the other side of the world is a great plus point.
Email exchanges were clear and reverted quickly.
Anthony was great in ensuring our comfort and made our stay pleasant and lovely.
At the end of our short stay, he was not just a contact but is now a friend. And when considering overseas stay, wouldn't you rather stay with a friend? I know I would.

Stayed there for 2 days, and it was great.
The apratment located 5 minutes by tram from the Dam. The rooms and all of the facilities looking good and everything is clean. Probably the only place in europe with free Wi-Fi.
Anthony the house- owner is a really nice and helpfull guy.
Bottom line- great place to stay in amsterdam. -

I have stayed here many times and I would not even consider staying anywhere else in 'dam! It is not too far from the city center(5 min.) and is within walking distance of a tram stop. It is very clean and well kept. The neighborhood is very peaceful and safe. We cook there and keep as much food in the fridge as we wanted. The guy who offers this place is friendly and very easy to work with. He really is careful about who stays at the apartment so you feel safe when you are there. He offered to show us around the city my first time there. There is a guy that lives there off and on but I have only seen him a couple of times in all of the times I have stayed there. He is a young, hip guy in his late 20's. Great Place!!!

First I would like to say that the
apartment is very neat and tidy. The room
is sufficiently large and comfortable.
The living room, bathroom and kitchen area
are also nice. We enjoyed taking the tram
to get where we wanted to go and going back and forth is not a problem. I would recommend this apartment for any couple who would like to travel to amsterdam. Another great ammenity is that it has wireless internet and a T.V. in the room. -

First of all if you are looking on the map you would think this apartment it's right in the city center - near Dam Square. Well you are wrong. This apartment it's located at 20 min by tram or bus from the city center. When I booked i tought that the map it-s correct but when I got the exact adress and I realised it's not there it was too late to book something else. The apartment is very dirty and somebody lives there permanently (we were not informed by that either). There are three rooms, they are renting only two of them and living room, bathroom and kitchen are 'to be shared' with the person that is living there - imagine that you will not be very comfortable to eat there in the mornig or stay late in the living room at night.

In the ad you can read that Kitchen, bathroom, livingroom and balcony is to be shared. Everybody can read this in the ad!!! The rent is for one bedroom!!
The apartment is very clean and it is not thrue that the apartment is dirty.
The map on FlipKey web site was showing the wrong location, FlipKey had fix this and it is showing now the right location.
