This was the first time I ever rented a flat for a vacation, I usually stay in hotels. But since we were going to amsterdam for a week we wanted the experience of living there and the extra space. It was the best decision of my vacation. Working with the owner was seamless. He responded to emails and inquiries very promptly, addressed all of our concerns and made the process so easy. The flat is in the best location, gorgeous and over looking the canal. It has all of the amenities we could ask for including very comfortable beds, a great shower and a 2 wonderful flower filled balconies. The location is wonderful and we could walk everywhere. I would definitely recommend this flat and will definitely stay there again on my next visit.

Fui com duas amigas visitar amsterdam e para além de termos adorado a cidade, fomos extremamente bem recebidas no Eglantines apartment. Foram-nos deixados pequenos "presentes" no apartamento, o que mostrou um grande sentido de hospitalidade.
A localização é óptima, no bairro de Jordaan (que é lindo) e vai-se a pé para todo o lado.
O apartamento é muito bonito e cuidado, confortável e cheio de luz natural. Posso dizer que adorámos a nossa estadia!

The Location is great, just outside of the main tourist drag but with lots of nice local restaurants and bars and only a short walk to Dam Square and the rest. The apartment is lovely and well laid out with a Kitchen with everything you could need. Myself and a colleague were staying whilst at a business conference which we have been going to for years and this is the first time we have stayed in an apartment rather than a Hotel. We lvoed it, it was so nice to come back in the evening to somewhere that felt like home and have a beer on the balcony looking over the Canal. Would defintely choose this again whether for work or Holdiay. Ernst Jan could not have been more helpful.

My husband, teenage daughter and myself stayed for 4 days at the Eglantines apartment in late Sept/early Oct of 2012. From the initial booking through to completion the communication and service provided was excellent. Ernst met us at the apartment, gave us a good tour, provided lists of restaurants, sights to see, instructions on all the appliances etc. The flat was spotless, beautifully decorated, spacious for Jaarden area (in a converted convent!) and in an ideal location. We walked from the flat to museums, the anne Frank Museum, shopping, the Dam, etc. it is centrally located and given it's proximity to the church, very easy to find! The flat is well appointed with gas range, large fridge, flat screen tv, lots of dvd's (in English), near to wonderful cafes, open air markets and the 9 streets shopping.
The apartment had two large bedrooms, one and a half bathrooms, washer/dryer, and everything you need for your stay. It was bright even on cloudy days and we even fed the swans and ducks in the canal from the front balcony (there are two balconies with the flat).
Ernst was a terrific source of information and we couldn't have been happier with our choice and wouldn't hesitate to return! We highly recommend the apartment and Ernst as a host.Response from Apartments Unlimited - 04/01/2013

Great location with all the amenities. Quiet clean modern apartment in a charming neighbourhood in the historic centre. Best liked the large windows and balcony view of the canal. One could just stay in the flat and not go anywhere. Within walking distance to restaurants, pubs, grocery stores and many of amsterdam's main attractions. Close to public transport. Would stay here again, but suspect one would need to book well ahead. Host is great and check in was seemless.

We loved this apartment. Light, spacious & of high quality. Especially kitchen with full eqipment was our favourite (even a fancy espressomachine!). Highly recommended.

About the location, I'd like to say that this property is located in the old city centre, on one of the most famous and preferred neighborhoods, The Jordaan. Perhaps you meant that it is 20 minutes walk to the Dam Square, also in the city centre (but not the best area actually).
