Dallas, TexasMy favorite place to stay in amsterdam
Left on 03/31/2013 for a stay in November 2012
I have been to amsterdam 20 times, and it is hard to beat the experience of staying in a houseboat. This houseboat is centrally located, spacious, well-decorated, has picturesque views, and our host Simon was very accommodating and helpful. I have stayed here 3 times and the entire boat has been recently renovated and has new furniture. I highly recommend this houseboat and look forward to returning soon.

NYCozy, well-appointed houseboat
Left on 03/18/2013 for a stay in March 2013
Stayed on axo Houseboat for three nights in March 2013 with my husband and six-year-old son. We were so glad we chose this over a conventional hotel--we loved being right on the canal, and the houseboat was cozy, clean, and well-appointed. The location was great and Simon was very helpful.

GrimsbyPerfect Stay - Great Location
Left on 02/07/2013 for a stay in December 2012
Very pleasant welcome and a really nice accommodation. The houseboat was very clean and well equipped for our requirements. The location is absolutely perfect and within easy walking distance of many amenities, restaurants, bars, nightlife, shopping and places of interest etc. Very pleasurable to enjoy the comfort and views over the amstel - and to feed the local swans who visited daily! Looking forward to returning. A perfect stay in a great location!

Brussels, BelgiumGreat houseboat experience in amsterdam!
Left on 11/25/2012 for a stay in October 2012
I'll be honest it was my partner who chose the idea of a houseboat and I was a bit worried about sleeping in a 'boat' but it was a fantastic experience! You are right there on the canal and you can choose to enjoy the canal life through the big windows or just relax and enjoy your the room (recently refurbished) with clean bed, living area. kitchenette and bathroom. Really comfortable and the managers are friendly and professional. I totally recommend it.

IrelandMost amazing Stay Ever!!!
Left on 11/08/2012 for a stay in October 2012
Houseboat is clean, modern, artistic, efficent, spacious, centrally located only minutes walk to big supermarket albert Heinjs, dam square, flower market. There is a square beside houseboat that has numerous bars and coffeshops and clothes shops, sweet shops, resteraunts! Houseboat has everything you need to have an enjoyable, comfortable, clean relaxing stay. I am a perfectionist and dont hold back on my thoughts but this was perfect 5 star and simon was so nice and very helpful, takes pride in his apartment. Even though there is no outside deck to have a smoke we literally walked 10seconds to where the boats dock and sat down there is the nice weather at night.

MinneapolisWow what a houseboat!!
Left on 10/25/2012 for a stay in October 2012
We have stayed in 7 or 8 houseboats in amsterdam over the years but never have we had a better houseboat, in a better location for the money. This was a short stay so we didn't really get into the "moving in" and "setting up house" thing we normally do so I can't comment on using the kitchen other than to say it was new and clean and appears to be well stocked. The bed was very comfortable, there were plenty of towels which is unusual so thanks much for that guys. The bathroom was sufficient, new and clean, but remember it's a houseboat so not huge but for a houseboat it's a big bathroom with plenty of room and a nice big sink and good shower. There is no music unless you bring an iPod for the iPod docking station. The sofas are extremely comfortable and the dining table is big enough to seat several people. The TV is fine if you go on vacation to watch TV, but the stations are limited and again no music stations. The views???..Wow, big windows with great views on the river side of the houseboat but blinds you can close if you feel you want some extra privacy but hey, you are across from the opera house and the only people that can see in are those going by in a boat. Highly recommended. We will stay there again.
